- Actor Allusion: As mentioned on the main page, Roy and Ed accidentally shoot the blue Space Ranger with an alien weapon. Karim Prince, who plays Roy, previously played the blue Aquitian Ranger, Cestro.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: The film has never been released on DVD, likely due to Disney acquiring the Fox Family/Saban assets in 2001; it was released with subtitles on VHS in several foreign countries, however.
- Oddball in the Series: Perhaps the most family-friendly of all National Lampoon media (as it was created for a channel with "Family" in its' name), and the only one ever produced by Saban Entertainment.
- Prop Recycling: A few monsters from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers appear during Dr. Strangemeister's musical number, specifically Eye Guy, Snow Monster, and Stag Beetle. Kombat Knat and Furocious from Big Bad Beetleborgs also make an appearance on Glaxxon's ship.
- Glaxxon's guards are repainted Piranhatron suits.
- Going the other way, Glaxxon's generic Roswell alien underlings were used as crowd filler in the Onyx Tavern scenes from Power Rangers In Space.
- Similarly Named Works: Unrelated to the 1933 Sidney Kingsley play, Men in White or the Clark Gable movie based on it the following year.
