Trivia / Megaman Unlimited

  • Renamed to Avoid Association: Trinitro Man's name was originally Nitro Man, but was renamed after an official Nitro Man was introduced in Mega Man 10.
  • Schedule Slip: The game was nearly set to be released on March 2009, but that didn't happen when real-life preoccupations occured for its staff members. Even after some engine changes, the development cycle never ended until 2013. To put it in perspective, the project started back in 2008.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Yoku Man and Hammer Man were originally going to be part of the main Robot Master line-up, until Comet Woman's introduction.
      • Hammer Man was notably demoted to being a Sub-Boss because MegaPhilX didn't want the weakness order to be that obvious.
    • Comet Woman was originally planned to replace Glue Man in the main roster. In the end, she replaced Yoku Man, who remained in the game as a hidden boss.
    • The game was going to be known as Mega Man 10, until the official one came out. As a result, the staff hastily tried to come up with a different title to prevent confusion and legality issues.
    • Starsimsuniverse liked Ninji so much that he chose him as a test character for the game's development, and originally intended for him to be a bonus playable character.
    • Initially there were plans to include the charged Mega Buster as an upgrade. Those plans were scrapped until the most recent version of the game, where MegaphilX put the charged Mega Buster in the game as an afterthought.
    • Starsimsuniverse had once claimed that Yoku Man has an extensive backstory outside of the game and his character profile. Following his sporadic absence from the Internet following the game's release, this didn't get revealed, leaving Yoku Man with an ambiguous origin like Shadow Man.
    • Whirlpool Man's stage was directly inspired by Kevvviiinnn's Stage 48. However, the game couldn't actually use that theme because Mega Man Rock Force was already using it for Plague Man.
