Trivia / Mega Man Battle Network Mobile Games

Go To

  • Colbert Bump: Both games would have likely been forgotten had it not been for MegaMan NT Warrior adapting Phantom of Network for its last few episodes; Chaotic DX also helped increase their popularity.
  • Creator's Oddball: The programmer for both games is Yukihito Nakamura, whose work normally consists of action games; how he was hired to work on a tactical RPG is anyone's guess.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: As of January 1, 2018, both games have been taken off online stores, although they are still playable if they were already installed onto phones. In December 2023, the games were successfully dumped and emulated (with a Fan Translation being considered), but an official re-release is unlikely.
  • Multi-Disc Work: Or, rather, Multi-Download Work; each chapter was released as its own download and had to be purchased seperately.
  • No Export for You: Both games were only released in Japan, likely due to Japanese phones being significantly more powerful than phones outside of the region at the time.
  • Production Lead Time: Between her School Uniforms are the New Black, Proper Tights with a Skirt, and her blonde pigtails, Sherrice is nearly an Identical Stranger to Luna Platz of Mega Man Star Force, which premiered the same year as Legend of Network. Indeed, a comparison of both girls suggests a deliberate zigzag unto Red Oni, Blue Oni levelsnote , suggesting some level of cross-contamination in development.
