  • Author's Saving Throw:
    • One of the biggest complaints from fans has been the complete and utter deluge of Crisis Crossover events that shake up the status quo everytime someone sneezes, to the point that there pretty much isn't even a status quo at all. Marvel has confirmed that they aren't even thinking of a major event for at least 18 months, though some do wish it was longer.
    • After remarks from a retreat seem to blame fans hating "diversity" for the low sales, Marvel has gone on to say that they aren't removing any of their current characters at all and that some of them might branch off to other names and identities.
    • Marvel confirming that many of their older titles will be returning to their old numbering has been this to many long time fans who disliked the "Seasonal Model" that Marvel has been using for the past half a decade. note
    • And then we got the confirmation, in the form of the announcement of the return of "the Steve Rogers that we know and love" following Secret Empire.
    • The ending of Marvel Legacy #1 all but confirms that the Fantastic Four will be coming back after Marvel previously cancelled their book over the dispute between Marvel and 20th Century Fox.
    • Marvel Legacy #1 also follows up on fan-favorite Robbie Reyes, who had been ridiculously underutilized in recent years, even in his own book. It also follows up on the evolution of his powers; a plot point that would have been used in one of his future stories, had his book not been cancelled. Then it was confirmed that he would become part of the Avengers come Jason Aaron's run.
  • Follow the Leader: It's very obviously a response to DC's successful "Rebirth" relaunch, especially with the #1 special by Jason Aaron.
  • Milestone Celebration: A lot of titles, thanks to the Legacy Renumbering, are spitting distance or at a big milestone numbering. Of note Mighty Captain Marvel, The Mighty Thor and Cable all drop in on a milestone number (125, 700 and 150 respectively). As well, Avengers, Captain America, Daredevil, Iron Fist, Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy are all three issues before they hit milestone numbers. As well, of the unchanged numbers, All-New Wolverine, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur and Ms. Marvel start the initiative at #25.
  • Reality Subtext: In Marvel Legacy #1, the Human Torch confides in the Thing that he doubts their place in the world, and that he feels the Fantastic Four's legacy has become irrelevant in the increasingly-crowded Marvel Universe. This is a reference to the Fantastic Four's general decline in prominence these past few decades, as well as the way they've been increasingly overshadowed by other (often newer) characters, especially ever since the MCU began making stars out of formerly-obscure characters like the Guardians of the Galaxy.
  • Schedule Slip: The Immortal Iron Fists was originally planned for Marvel NOW! (2016), but ended up getting released during San Diego Comic Con 2017
    • A Dazzler one-shot was also promoted at Comic Con and scheduled for November 2017, but wasn't solicited until Marvel: A Fresh Start had started, finally seeing print in June 2018.
  • What Could Have Been: Originally, it seems that one of the one-shots wasn't Power Pack, but Exiles as there was a listing for a Exiles #125. Exiles ended up getting a new series instead.
