• Blooper: The members of the Snifit Patrol aren't actually Snifits, but rather Snufits, an enemy first seen in Super Mario 64. The two enemies have the same name in Japanese, which might explain the mix-up between the two. Superstars would correct this mistake by replacing the Snufits with actual Snifits.
• Cowboy BeBop at His Computer: Charles Martinet once tweeted about voicing Luigi in Mario Party 2 when it was actually Julian Bardakoff. Martinet's voice wasn't used until the next game.
• Meme Acknowledgement: One Nintendo game tournament featured Mario Party 2, and after one of the competitors picked Luigi, the host of the event yelled "No Luigi, you can't win by doing nothing. You gotta do something here, Luigi!"
