- Follow the Leader: It bears similarities to Lunar: The Silver Star.
- No Export for You: The game was never released in the PAL territories (a common problem with JRPGs during the 16-bit era). As a result, when the sequel was localised, it was released as simply Lufia.
- What Could Have Been: A Sega Genesis version of the game was in the works at some point. It was given a 6 month deadline, and the progress made consisted of a tech demo with a title screen, no sound, and a dungeon field with no collision. A western developer who worked on it would share it 20+ years later, allowing it to be archived, meaning you can get a hold of it if you search hard enough.
