Trivia / Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time

Go To

  • Completely Different Title: The game was originally titled Little Witch Academia: The Magic of Time and the Seven Wonders in Japan. When it got brought over to the west however, it was renamed to Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time, likely for the sake of simplicity.
  • Executive Meddling: According to the game's director, the game suffered from this under Bandai Namco, who forced the developers to cram in several gameplay elements into the game in an attempt to capture everything related to the show within a short amount of time, which led to the developers running out of time before they can properly polish up anything, resulting in the final game's unpolished state.
  • No Dub for You: While it was released and localized outside of Japan, the game only contains the original Japanese voices.
  • No Export for You: The game was only released on digital storefronts outside of Japan. As such, all the bells and whistles that came packaged with the Japanese special edition, such as a bonus Drama CD, will remain Japan-exclusive.
  • Official Fan-Submitted Content: Verde, who was one of the students added through an post game update, was originally designed by a fan artist.
  • Refitted for Sequel:
    • The idea of a supernatural student as an antagonist was considered as far back as the original short films, which planned to have a vampire student known as Elizabeth who would had served as an antagonistic figure, only to get cut from both short films due to the team finding her unnecessary. While Elizabeth herself never saw the light of day, the idea of a supernatural student as an antagonist would get revisited in the game in the form of Molly, who is a ghost and the Big Bad of the game.
    • The Drama CD realizes several concepts shown in the first ED of the TV series (Such as the road trip the trio and Ursula took), which according to Little Witch Academia: Chronicle, were scrapped concepts in the show proper (likely due to time constraints).
  • Sequel in Another Medium: While not serving as a direct sequel to the 2017 TV Series, it is set in the same continuity as the TV series and acts as an Interquel, with it and its accompanying Drama CD (which only came with the game's physical special edition, which is exclusive to Japan) taking place in between Episodes 7 and 8.
