Trivia / JumpStart Adventures 4th Grade: Haunted Island

• Acting for Two:
  • Flap, Repsac, and some more minor characters are all voiced by JumpStart regular Tony Pope.
  • Madame Pomreeda and Ms. Grunkle are both voiced by Jeannie Elias.
• Orphaned Reference: When Flap is summoned on the main area of the island in the '98 version, his description of the toolbar is unchanged from the '96 version. As such, he doesn't mention the level adjuster or the island map and refers to the crystal ball as being in the center of the screen.
• Urban Legend of Zelda: The idea that the game was discontinued due to complaints from kids, parents and teachers about the game's horror elements. Not only was such an outcry not documented in newspapers or newsletters, the game was supported long enough to get a second printing with a few QOL improvements and was reviewed quite positively at the time.
• Those Two Actors: Tony Pope and Jeannie Elias previously collaborated on JumpStart Adventures 3rd Grade: Mystery Mountain.
• What Could Have Been:
  • A KnowledgeLand preview shows a 2D Ms. Grunkle standing in front of the gate near Pomreeda's cart. Not only does Ms. Grunkle not appear in 2D, she's lacking her broom and doesn't show up in that location in the actual game.
  • Repsac was originally meant to be lighter in tone, alongside having yellow eyes instead of white.
  • The yearbook would've displayed each student's name underneath their portrait.
