- Christmas Rushed: The game had a tight 13 month development cycle as opposed to the 2 years spent making Jak II, and while its gameplay and art aren't unpolished by any means, the shorter, undercooked story and frequent asset recycling from the previous two games are readily apparent at points.
- Dummied Out: The original release had an unfinished Japanese translation pack that implies it was also going to get an Eastern release, but the second game's abysmal sales in Japan put a stop to that happening.
- Missing Trailer Scene: Two commercials show Jak and Daxter. In the first one, their encounter with Errol isn't finished. In the second commercial, Daxter wants to tell Jak that Dax is Jak's father.
- No Export for You: It took nearly 10 years for Jak 3 to get released in Japan as a downloadable title for the PlayStation 4. It's entirely untranslated, with the store page even listing it as (English Version).
- What Could Have Been: Has its own page.
