  • Approval of God: PewDiePie loudly cheered when he saw that Jaiden included his chair in Rewind 2018.
  • Blooper: Normally any swear words spoken during the live commentary sections of her videos are censored in some way, but during her blindfolded run of Super Mario World, Alpharad happens to swear (while complaining about the difficulty of the levels) without it being censored.
  • Colbert Bump:
    • Jaiden's first foray into YouTubing was animating iHasCupquake videos, which got Approval of God and brought her channel to YouTube's attention.
    • In a reversal, Jaiden's cameo in Rebecca Parham's "HOW TO CREEP OUT YOUR FAVORITE YOUTUBERS AT CONVENTIONS" was one of the factors for the latter's rise in popularity.
    • She probably got some mileage out of iDubbbzTV's brief mention of her in his own Samurai Buyer Unboxing video.
    • The video she did on the Pokémon Ranger series naturally led to a huge spike in interest it. A particularly vivid example of this is the exposure the battle music for Team Dim Sum in Shadows of Almia got after she declared it a head bopper and had a memetic dance animation with it playing in the background. This can be seen on display in this relatively, old upload of the theme which has now surged to almost a whopping 300k views with comments flooded with people referencing her video. To the point where even the uploader took notice!
    • Another reversal, her video on completing a Cooking Mama 2 speedrun has opened the floodgates on other speedruns of the game, including the BurntPie% run concept she came up with during the video.
    • Yet another inverted example, Jaiden's decision to raid Australian Twitch streamer Moxie2D during his Pokémon Platinum Artlocke run caused a massive surge in his views and subscribers, both on Twitch and YouTube.
    • Played With: her video on Digimon World Dawn/Dusk brought a surge on people commenting on the game and even trying out the game, commenting on whether the game really is that terrible.
  • Cowboy Be Bop At His Computer: In What My Trip To Japan Was Like, after reuniting with her dad she jokes that he hadn't been found by the Japanese mafia. The gag includes a cameo of Shigaraki and Dabi from My Hero Academia who aren't actually part of the show's mafia, but of a different crime group. Although they have had a brief association with them.
  • Creator Backlash:
    • After getting quite a lot of amusement out of her interactions with Samurai Buyer's owner, Jaiden went out of her way to half-ironically promote him. When it eventually came out that he might've been partaking in some illegal activities with Samurai Buyer, Jaiden extensively edited the description of her Samurai Buyer unboxing videos with disclaimers about whatever support she had for the company.
    • She doesn't think "Parent Stories" deserves its ten million views.
    • Jaiden liked a tweet from a Twitter account specifically created just to say "YouTube Rewind 2018 is shit."
    • In "Being Not Straight", she admits she isn't fond of "Flirting & My Stories", refusing to rewatch it, due to a line in which she doesn't understand the difference between wanting to be in a relationship and just being really good friends.
  • Creator Breakdown: Jaiden had to grapple with an eating disorder and self-esteem issues, which she recounts in "Why I Don't Have a Face Reveal". She said she had to put on a mask during VidCon 2016 despite her struggles, but called it the lowest point in her life. She and Boyinaband later did a music video titled "Empty" based on her experience.
  • Distanced from Current Events:
    • The video where she tries to beat Minecraft with CallMeCarson was removed in 2021, shortly after Carson was accused of grooming underage girls who were members of his fan community.
    • Her music video "Empty" that she did with Boyinaband was removed after abuse allegations against him started in 2022.
  • Fandom VIP: She and Chuggaaconroy are an unusually bilateral example of this trope: the two are not only subscribed to each other on YouTube, but also follow and occasionally interact with each other on Twitter. Chugga even lent her his capture-carded DS for her video on Fossil Fighters, with Jaiden giving him a Shout-Out at the end of the video for his generosity.
  • Follow the Leader: Her "Random Thoughts" video inspired many other animate-my-life YouTubers to do the same thing.
  • Missing Episode: A lot of Jaiden's earlier videos (such as "Impersonation & KYS Rant" and "My Strange Trip to Europe w/ TimTom") have been privated for various reasons, though reuploads by other users can be found by just digging through YouTube a little.
  • Reality Subtext: "I Attempted a Pokemon Platinum Nuzlocke" has a Downer Ending because in Real Life Jaiden lost her first attempt against the Elite Four, but her viewers encouraged her to try again and she won the second time. But she still felt guilty about "cheating," and so created the subplot about Giratina splitting Jaiden in two, Jaiden seeing flashes of her loses in the Mirror Universe, and feeling guilty and unworthy of her Pyrrhic Victory.
  • Referenced by...: El Goonish Shive: NP: "An NPC by any other name", the naming of the Cleric has tons of shout-outs running through Ellen's head, with the sixth-from-last line ending with "Jaiden" and the fifth-from-last line starting with more web animation references.
  • Rule 34 – Creator Reactions: In an interview with Anthony Padilla, Jaiden admits that she knows about the NSFW artwork about her avatar and has tried but failed to take them down through legal means. Jaiden doesn't want to bring any more attention to it and just wishes that her family and friends wouldn't be able to find it so easily. She also calls out the people who made the videos about the artwork, pointing out that they're not helping the situation, and they're only profiting off of her situation. In a follow-up tweet, she clarified that her problem lies mainly in its accessibility to minors, asking that anyone who does draw such art confine it to their own adult-only communities while also asking people not to harass anyone on her behalf.
  • She Also Did:
    • Before becoming big on YouTube, Jaiden also made a few Fan Animations for iHasCupquake.
    • Jaiden used to be a member of QSMP before departing from the group on mutual terms in 2024.
