• Approval of God: The April Fools parody of the story If Today Was Your Last Day was received quite warmly by the author of the original story.
• What Could Have Been: The author initially wanted to publish several side stories, mostly detailing things that didn't fit the story's rating, but only finished one, later published as Muffins' Best Ride.
  • The romance between Coach Sombra and Frosty Orange was mostly cut from the story as it would stray too far away from the main characters. Frosty does tell the other students about it in the last chapter, and while is met with an indifferent reaction, it still stirs a lot of drama when they break up during the prom.
  • Indigo's pregnancy was supposed to end in miscarriage, but the author felt it'd be too cliche.
• Working Title: Was known as "Indigo story" for most of its development.
• Writer on Board: At one point, Sugarcoat argues with Sophisticata over the inappropriate glamorization of criminals such as cult leader Starlight Glimmer. This is actually the author's own opinion, since he dislikes when the media does it in real life.
• Write Who You Know: Sandalwood's fondness of rats is based on Samey90's friend.
