Trivia / Infinity Train: Boiling Point

Go To

  • Approval of God: Green_Phantom_Queen herself has given comments on the story and is willing to have Exotos write a potential meet-up between Boscha and Chloe Cerise. She herself even decided to write a prequel story, Infinity Train: Melancholy Afterlife that goes into detail how Chloe of the Vermillion encountered Lexi in this world that Exotos immediately declared canon.
  • Ascended Fanon: A reviewer shared this theory of the reason that Simon reform so quickly is because being brutalized by Boscha Urodela destroyed Simon's worldview, and during the week, what remains of the Apex stay at The Cat Car, Simon talked with Samantha and got some kind of closure with her. Exotos135 answers that exactly what he believed happened as well, so he shall hereby declare this theory canon!
  • Blooper: When Chapter 13 was initially posted, Zenith Fantasy were referred to as "Apex Fantasy". This error was quickly fixed.
  • Creator's Pest: Specter, of a sort. He was initially added as a joke over how Green_Phantom_Queen, writer of the story's inspiration, had a big like for the character. However, his subsequent characterization in Melancholy Afterlife soured the author's enjoyment of writing him, so by the time he appears in Boiling Point proper, he's not given the best treatment by the characters. This comes to a head in part three of The Day of Unity, his main focus chapter, where the author made it clear that he was done writing Specter, and anybody who wanted to see more of him would have to deal with it. Humorously, Green Phantom Queen (who helped write two chapters of the final arc) points out that Exotos writing of Specter actually made him the key character that derails both Hazel and Azura's plains.
  • Inspiration for the Work: The author reveals that he was inspired by Infinity Train: Blossoming Trail and that the author helped set the framework of the story. Green Phantom Queen herself also leaves comments on the story too.
  • Shrug of God: In the Chapter 6 author notes, the author points out where the events of Blossoming Trail fit into this story is up to the reader, and that it's either after the events of the Fog Car or it's an alternate timeline/universe. Later in the story, it clear that the story is set in an alternate timeline/universe, which the author confirmed.
  • Throw It In!: The line of Chloe going back to her "perfect date with Specter" was originally a small joke about Green Phantom Queen's love of the character. After Melancholy Afterlife actually made it canon, Exotos decided he'll use it as part of why Chloe's number is static.
    • Boiling Point calls Titus a King but that was originally because in Melancholy Afterlife, Chloe remarks that Lexi acts like a spoiled and haughty prince with his attitude. Green Phantom Queen just rolled with it and future stories recall Titus as King of Azada with his son as the prince.
  • What Could Have Been: The story was originally planned to be a Pokémon and Infinity Train crossover, but the author admits it would've been way too obvious where the inspiration came from. So he immediately changed it to an The Owl House and Infinity Train crossover with Boscha as the focus.
