• What Could Have Been:
  • Bart from Aegis Defenders was originally going to be playable, as seen in a pre-release video, but since his home game was unfinished at the time and shifted focus mid-development, he was reduced to a cameo.
  • Bullet Kin originally had a clone character in the form of The Marine. The Marine would have had different usable guns, used Casey for his melees, and have different side and up specials. He was scrapped due to Bullet Kin's low play rate and Trevor's dislike of clones.
  • There is several other cut characters that current lack presence in the game, those being the Joylancer, Heart, Pilgor and the protagonist for Delver's Drop, all cut for various reasons.
    • On continuation of this, there has been various other pitches that are currently unsuccessful, including Octane,Pilgor, the Castle Crashers, Spelunky's protagonist, and various Nicalis reps.
  • A Kickstarter update implies that Crow wasn't always planned to be the Final Boss, as he was promised to be in a future poll determining the next playable fighter.
