• Colbert Bump: This film has gotten some attention due to it being the last film that Reaction & Review had covered in its runtime before host Emer Prevost Died During Production.
• Dueling Movies: Came out around the same time as another live-action/animation hybrid film.
• Hey, It's That Place!: The live-action scenes were filmed at the Kaiser Steel Plant in Fontana, California.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: The movie was only legally available on extremely rare VHS copies for a long time until the film was given a digitally remastered Blu-Ray.
• Reality Subtext: The post-apocalyptic sequences were filmed at the abandoned Kaiser Steel Plant, where the air was actually hazardous to breathe. Good thing the actors were wearing gas masks... that aren't connected to anything.
