Hey look! It's Chief O'Brien as the Railroad Baron! Made even funnier in episode three when the very Irish Colm Meaney (but playing a New Yorker) asks the Oirish McGinnes brothers why they left such a "beautiful country."
John Druitt as the Swede (made even more pronounced when he shaves his head), and Henry shows up as a ex-Confederate bandit. Sadly, they don't share any scenes together
Irony as She Is Cast: According to an article in TV Guide, one of the reasons Anson Mount got the role of Bohannon was that the producers thought he had a rugged look to him and wasn't a typical Hollywood Pretty Boy. However, One of Mount's first major roles was as the Pretty Boy love interest (to Britney Spears, no less) in Britney's best-forgotten film début Crossroads.
Screwed by the Network: AMC tried to kill it for good by dumping season three on Saturday nights, pretty much the worst night on the schedule for anyone. Ironically, it actually outdid Low Winter Sun despite the latter having the suddenly cushy post-Breaking Bad slot, and ended up getting a fourth season because of that (although it's still on Saturdays).
