  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: "Bob in A Bottle", the English dub, was lost until 2021 when YouTube user Yui-Senpai TV revealed that the US Library of Congress has the entire series on U-Matic videotapes in their archives. They have not presently been made public yet.
  • No Export for You: The English dub Bob In A Bottle was only broadcast in the US on PRISM, a regional premium cable channel available primarily in the Philadelphia metro area (which had licensed some Saban shows on the cheap for their PRISM Kids block); otherwise, the only way American audiences saw it was as Stock Footage played on TV sets in a few episodes of Power Rangers. It did air in Canada, Australia and New Zealand, however.
  • Referenced by...: Arashi quotes the titular character's catchphrase in the song "Lucky Man".
  • Role Reprise: The 2001 spinoff, Yobarete Tobidete Akubi-chan, brought back Tōru Ōhira, the original voice of Hakushon, in a reprise of his role.
    • The Other Darrin: Akubi, however, was recast, with Asuka Tanii replacing Takako Sasuga in the role. She was then recast a second time for 2006's Akubi Girl, this time with Tomoko Kaneda. Both genies were replaced for the 2020 series, particularly because of Toru Ohira's death some years prior, so Mao is voiced by Kouichi Yamadera, while Akubi is played by Sumire Morohoshi. When the original Kan-chan returns for an episode, due to now being an old man, he's voiced by Toshio Furukawa.
