  • Approval of God:
    • Cthulhu director Dan Gildark approved of its analysis in Outsiders: How To Adapt H.P. Lovecraft in the 21st Century.
    • Halcyon Dreams, which concerns Don Bluth and Rick Dyer's efforts in creating Dragon's Lair, was given positive feedback from both former Don Bluth employee Dermot OC, as well as (according to his son Cory) Rick Dyer himself.
    • Vaccines: A Measured Response had nothing but praise for reporter Brian Deer, who exposed Andrew Wakefield. In response, Brian Deer linked the video on his social media pages.
    • Plagiarism and You(Tube) has Hbomb promise to donate all the proceeds from the video to all of the people James Somerton had plagiarised. One of Somerton's victims, Tinker Belles and Evil Queens author Sean Griffin, donated his share of the proceeds back to be given to everyone else, believing it would be better spent on those less well-off than him and he would gain a lot of sales from the publicity HBomb gave him.
  • Corpsing: Sometimes when faced with something absolutely ridiculous, he can't help but laugh.
  • Creator Backlash: In his The Golden One: A Measured Response video, Hbomb expresses some dissatisfaction with his Cultural Marxism video. The issues he has with it involve his fear that he might've accidentally strawmanned some people, the video's production values, and his choice of hairstyle.
  • He Also Did: Hbomb provides some voiceover assistance in this video about System Shock by That Trav Guy
    • He also appears as a voice actor in this video.
    • Pretty much any time Dan Olson makes a video, Hbomb will end up providing some voice-over work.
  • Magnum Opus Dissonance: It's difficult to tell how serious Harry is being in saying this, but he often calls his drama adjacent videos bad and says his game and movies essays are better. His fans on the other hand believe these videos are his best work and the view count reflects this:
    • During the "ROBLOX_OOF.mp3" video when talking about Joey Kuras, text appears on screen telling viewers not to bother Joey over this horrible video. As of now, it has overtaken his Fallout: New Vegas video as his fourth most viewed video despite that video being a year older.
    • His "Plagiarism and You(Tube)" video ends with him saying he didn't want to make the video since he would be indirectly benefitting from plagiarism (even if it is by exposing it), and that he has other videos that are good coming, even suggesting people watch the video on Myst on his Patreon because that one is "actually" good. It overtook the lifetime views of the New Vegas and OOF videos in sixteen days, his Deus Ex: Human Revolution video in less than a month, and his Sherlock video in a little over a month, making it the single most viewed video on his channel.
  • Schedule Slip:
    • Harry would probably be the first to admit that it can take him quite a long time to put a video together. Particularly since he lampshades it in the "Flat Earth" video.
Hbomb: Hello! It's me, the guy who does those videos! [beat] Very occasionally.
Caption: IM GOING THROUGH SOME STUFF RIGHT NOW
    • His planned video on RWBY went through several iterations of this, as he had been sitting on the idea for years. His first plan was to tackle it during 2014-2016, until Monty Oum's death put the plans on the backburner. In late 2019 he decided to commit to the project again, with him hoping to have it out for late May 2020. This spiraled into being set for release on July 28th.
    • His video "The War on Christmas: A Measured Response" starts with a joke about this—it opens on a segment shot during October 2019, then immediately jumps to a segment shot in December 2019—and also really was this, with the video actually being released in December 2020. Upon the completion of the video, Harry announced that he would be hiring an editor to help keep his projects on a more regular schedule.
    • ROBLOX_OOF.mp3 was originally supposed to be a fun little video about a meme sound effect "so that people would know [he] was alive."
  • Throw It In!: Unintended happenings are common in Harry's videos, and supply a fair bit of his comedy. For example, "Vaccines and Autism: A Measured Response" alone features flubbed lines left in, a smoke machine turning on by itself and ruining a take, and the Windows update chime interrupting Harry's voiceover.
  • Trolling Creator: Harry has falsely claimed in at least two videos that he has mutual friends with Paul Joseph Watson just to annoy Paul. He admits that the whole thing is a gag in his War On Christmas video...only to jokingly take it back seconds later.
  • What Could Have Been: His RWBY script was initially far longer, with a test recording coming in at three hours. Hbomb had to cut large chunks from the script, including reviews of the post-Volume 3 seasons (though he has said it will eventually be a Patreon poll option for him to cover them) and an extended rant about Sienna Khan.
