• Blooper: While the scene in the Mystery Shack is already one of the weakest scenes in the episode animation-wise; one of the more notorious errors has Wendy both take place in McGucket's huddle and stand right behind Stan in the close-up of him watching the huddle at the same time, replacing one of the Sev'ral Timez members in the process. Toby also falls victim to this kind of error when the refugees are rallied, where he's not only standing among the crowd but also sitting on the couch.
• Fandom Nod: As confirmed by Alex Hirsch, the Zodiac Wheel was put in the theme song as nothing more than a Freeze-Frame Bonus. The symbols were randomly picked from the episodes that had already been storyboarded, and weren't necessarily meant to represent any characters. However, after the fanbase had been obsessing about its meaning for three and a half years, they felt like it simply had to be in the actual show. The symbol each character was assigned and why was also based off what was the most common fan guess, including ones that were a bit of a stretch, such as the llama being Pacifica and the ice being Wendy because she's "cool."
• Pop-Culture Urban Legends: It's widely claimed that Bill's "I'VE GOT SOME CHILDREN I NEED TO TURN INTO CORPSES" line was because Disney wouldn't allow them to say the word "kill". There's no evidence for this; it's never been officially confirmed, and Bill says he'll kill the twins (using the actual word) three minutes later.
