• Bad Export for You: The Der Film OVA was not included in the Der Film releases outside Japan.
• The Cast Showoff: Nonna's and Clara's seiyuus are fluent in Russian and don't hold back in their Russian lines in the movie and audio dramas. A Bonus in Clara's case since her seiyuu is Russian.
  • The (English) voice actor for Clara also speaks fluent Russian.
• Ink-Suit Actor: Klara's character design is nearly similar to that of her seiyuu Yevgeniya "Jenya" Davidyuk. Here's Proof.
• Promoted Fanboy: Nicholas Moran, more popularly known as "The Chieftain" in World of Tanks circles, worked on the movie as one of the film's five military advisors from Wargaming. Beforehand, he has on record referred to himself as "the resident expert on Girls und Panzer", and has referenced the show in a couple of his Chieftain's Hatch videos. Most notably in his "Jagdpanzer 38(t)" video at 2min47sec.
• Recycled Script: The movie's plot is the same overall plot of the series; Ōarai is going to get closed down and they have to win a match to save it . Everything about it is scaled up to eleven and played out like Your Princess Is in Another Castle!. It would not be difficult to break the movie into another four or so episodes and add them to first season.
• Sleeper Hit: In spite of its limited release in Japan, the movie's current gross is over 2.5 billion yen with over 1.4 million tickets sold at the Japan Box Office as of August 13, 2017. It was in theaters right up to the day the Blu-Ray was released (May 27, 2016). The movie surpassed Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Rebellion in the box office and is currently ranked 3rd highest grossing late-night TV anime based movie, just behind Love Live! The School Idol Movie and Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale.
• The Other Darrin: Chelsea McMurdy took over voicing Shiho Nishizumi from Genevieve Simmons in the movie.
  • Patricia Duran took over voicing Momo Kawashima from Kendall McClellan.
• What Could Have Been: Apparently one of the initial plan for the plot was to have Miho go back to Kuromorimine and face off against the very school she led to victory in the TV series.
