- Out of Focus: Phil has been seen quite a bit less since the 9th season, and Miss Kay usually isn't focused on as much unless she has a main storyline. This most likely has more to do with them getting older (Phil turned 70 in 2016), rather than anything to do with A&E and Phil's controversial statements, though A&E probably considers it a good excuse to show less of such a controversial character without removing him entirely.
- Manipulative Editing: On the spinoff podcast "Unashamed", Jase comes off as much more serious and and mature than he did on Duck Dynasty. He specifically mentions that the crew of Duck Dynasty nearly always cut out when he was discussing scripture or just getting serious in general. They just wanted the comedic moments and wisecracks. This also goes for Phil (who is much more tenderhearted in real life than he seems on the show) and Willie (who is not as arrogant). Jase *does* confirm on the podcast that Si really is that crazy in real life, however.
