- Children Voicing Children: All the main characters were cast with child voice actors. While the girls have kept a consistent voice, all three of the boys have been recast every now and then.
- Dawson Casting: The German dub has Doki and his friends being voiced by adults who were in their late 20s to early 30s at the time of recording.
- Humble Beginnings: Doki was originally introduced in 2005 as the mascot for Discovery Kids in Latin America, while the other main characters were introduced a few years later (Mundi in 2008, the other four in 2009). A pilot for a show using these characters was made in 2009, but the show never materialized until 2013.
- No Export for You: At least for the English dub, neither Season 3 nor any of the specials (other than "Doki Rocks Rio") aired in the US.
- The Other Darrin: The three boy characters had their actors replaced ast the series went on.
- For the first two seasons Oto was voiced by Caden Hughes. However, during Season 2, Caden hit puberty and his voice became lower, thus he had to be replaced. For a little over a year (season 3, some of Season 4) he was voiced by Collin Dean (from The Loud House) and is now being voiced by Lukas Engel.
- Doki was voiced by Griffin Hook from Seasons 1-2 and some of 3. The rest of the series has him voiced by William Romain due to Hook hitting puberty.
- Fico was voiced by Lucas Kalechstein for Seasons 1-2, and most of 3. He has since been voiced by Roman Lutterotti due to Lucas hitting puberty.
- What Could Have Been: The series was originally pitched to Nelvana, with two different pilots being produced under the name Doki's Adventures.
