- Blooper: For whatever reason, the opening timeline of the Disney Princesses has Belle and Jasmine in each other's proper spots.
- Cut Song:
- "You'll Never Lose This Love" from the unused Beauty and the Beast short. Belle and Mrs. Potts sing it to Chip after he runs away.
- The unused Aurora short also had a song left out of the final product.
- Disowned Adaptation: The original voice of Aurora, Mary Costa, disliked the film.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: Unavailable on Disney+, and the DVD is out of print.
- Missing Trailer Scene: There were apparently several revamps of the shorts. The trailers show a completely different Aurora short and a Belle short featuring the original cast.
- The Original Darrin: Lea Salonga provides Jasmine's singing voice for the first time since Aladdin; Liz Callaway replaced her in the DTV sequels.
- The Other Darrin: For the Aurora short, the entire voice cast was replaced due to either being deceased or too old. The Jasmine short only has one replacement, this being Jeff Bennett as the Sultan.
- Role Reprise: Linda Larkin, Gilbert Gottfried, and Frank Welker reprise their respective roles as Jasmine, Iago, and Abu/Rajah.
- Stillborn Franchise: John Lasseter killed the series after the first title.
- What Could Have Been:
- This film was originally intended to be the first of a series, but the sequels never came out.
- The first film in the series was originally titled A Kingdom of Kindness. It featured a different Aurora story and a story starring Belle from Beauty and the Beast. This version was shown off in early trailers, and an abridged video of the Aurora story appeared on the first Cinderella III: A Twist in Time DVD.
- The second film in the series, only known as Disney Princess Enchanted Tales, was to have a story based on Cinderella about Cinderella wanting to make things perfect for when the king and Prince Charming returned from being away and another based on Mulan where Grandmother Fa lies about a magic cricket and Mulan tries to encourage her to tell the truth. It was supposed to come out in 2008. It was also shown off in trailers. A 2009 DVD re-release of Follow Your Dreams (timed to help promote The Princess and the Frog) added AMVs for the songs Cinderella and Mulan would've sung (boasting Stock Footage from their finished DTV sequels, rather than scenes from the unreleased shorts).
