Trivia / Diamond Brothers

• Missing Episode: For whatever reason, the 1991 TV series (adapting South by South East, around the same time the book came out) is incredibly obscure; it was never repeated or released on VHS or DVD. The only thing that was definitely known is that the Diamond Brothers were played by the same actors from the 1988 film. Eventually, an off-air recording of the series was discovered in 2021 and the whole series was uploaded to YouTube, starting with the first episode.
• Recycled Script: A large number of elements were later reused for Horowitz's more successful Alex Rider series. Nick going undercover in Public Enemy Number Two is remarkably similar to MI6's recruitment of Alex, and the Post-Climax Confrontation at the end of the book is also similar to a use of the same trope at the end of Point Blanc. The basic premise of The Blurred Man — a charity keeping donations for itself — is also comparable to that of Crocodile Tears.
