• Box Office Bomb: Though not by nearly as much as you'd expect. Despite making less than a tenth of what Daddy Day Care earned at the box office, its budget and marketing costs only came to around $15-20 million (it was originally supposed to be Direct to Video), meaning that while it made a loss on its theatrical release, it most likely ended up in the black after being released on DVD.
• Creator Killer: Though Fred Savage remains active to this day as a television director, he seems to have realized that directing films simply isn't his thing.
• Franchise Killer: The film's poor reception put the series on ice for a while; it wouldn't be until Grand-Daddy Day Care in 2019, twelve years later, before they gave the series another shot.
• The Other Darrin: All of the returning characters.
• Star-Derailing Role: Between this, Snow Dogs, Norbit, and Boat Trip, the career of Cuba Gooding Jr.. has yet to recover. Sadly, it may never recover due to his age and the sexual misconduct allegations that have come against him as of late.
