• California Doubling: Hayley Atwell again plays someone working in New York but is really miles away (the series was shot in Toronto).
• Fake American:
  • Hayley Atwell is British, but her character, Hayes Morrison, is American (technically, Atwell is Brtish-American due to her American father, but she grew up in the UK).
  • Canadian Shawn Ashmore plays an American.
• Playing Against Type: Given that her type is established as an Action Girl like Peggy Carter, it's different to see Hayley Atwell as a spoiled former delinquent who has to be forced into doing the right thing.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Morrison's first name was originally reported to be Carter, but was Hayes by the time the show aired.
  • Hayes's brother Jackson was originally conceived as The Ace of the family - played by Daniel di Tomasso. The character was retooled and then recast with Daniel Franzese.
