- By this point, Damon Wayans had struggled to crack the A-list for a few years. Unfortunately for him, this would be among the three films that bombed within a year, forcing him to retreat back into TV, where's he's found more success.
- Daniel Stern was hoping for his big break into leading man roles, but between this and Bushwhacked, those hopes were dashed.
- As for Dan Aykroyd, his film headlining career was cooling off in The '90s, so this definitely did him no favors right before being finished off for good by Blues Brothers 2000.
- Shout-Out: The outfit Jimmy wears to the club looks like it came out of Yortuk Festrunk's closet (AKA Aykroyd's character from the "Two Wild and Crazy Guys" sketches).
