Trivia / Cake Boss

• Adored by the Network: When they aren't airing cartoons or movies, Discovery Family airs repeats of this show a lot, to the point where holidays mean Cake Boss marathons the channel.
• In Memoriam:
  • Long-time employee and Valastro family friend Salvatore Picinich died of cancer in early 2011. The episode that aired the next day was dedicated to Sal, and a later episode "Staten Island Chuck, Strange Oddities and Sal" included Buddy speaking at Sal's memorial mass. Buddy and his wife Lisa's would give their youngest son Carlo the middle name Salvatore.
  • "Farewell to Momma Mary" was about "Momma" Mary Valastro's funeral reception and her legacy as the Valastro matriarch
• Make-A-Wish Contribution:
  • The episode "Hot Air Balloon Cake & Happy Little Bakers" had Buddy take in four girls from the Make-A-Wish Foundation whose dreams were to be bakers, and he made one-of-a-kind cakes with them before making a hot air balloon cake for a reception that Make-A-Wish was holding.
  • The episode "Camels, Ostriches and Cake Wishes" also featured families from the foundation brought to the factory to make their own cakes.
  • "Dinosaurs and Brush Strokes" has a fundraiser challenge for Make-A-Wish that includes long-time baker Danny getting his mustache shaved (which he's had since 1980s) once reaching the $25,000 donation goal.
• Missing Episode:
  • The last ten episodes of the final season have, as of January 2024, never been included on streaming platforms nor are usually listed in episode lists of the show. Not even The Other Wiki has them listed. As of this writing a full list which includes said ten episodes can be found here. The Discovery Family channel, which as of this writing still airs the show, however does include those ten episodes in its rotation.
  • Some episodes aren't included in aired reruns, such as on the Discovery Family channel, or free streaming platforms, while other streaming platforms included them but require paying for those episodes while the rest of the episodes are free to view. Not all are universally missing/require extra fees nor not all the reasons for their exclusions are known, but some of the common missing/extra fee episodes were ones that largely featured former Carlo's employee (and Buddy's sister Lisa's ex-husband) Remy who would eventually leave the show after being arrested and pleading guilty to sexual assault, the episode "Bar Mitzvah, Beads and Oh Baby!" which featured an Unsettling Gender-Reveal incident featuring transgender celebrity Carmen Carrera unaware she was being used as part of a prank, and an episode in which featured a client from the controversial foundation Autism Speaks.
  • Season 4 (though some streaming platforms list it under season 6) episode "Cake Block, Cruise and a Carlo's Ceremony" more often than not gets excluded from platforms/reairings, possibly because it features largely on Disney's Cruise Line ship Disney Dream. The rare times it is included it's not guaranteed to stay around long.
