• All-Star Cast: the English dub done by Studiopolis has many big names in anime.
• Milestone Celebration: The one-shot was originally written for Shonen Jump's 50th anniversary. Then the serialization and anime movie was announced as part of Bleach's 20th anniversary.
• Swan Song: The anime marked the final performance for voice actress Hikari Yono. She succumbed to cancer on November 15, 2020, over one month after the film's release.
• Word of God: In an interview with Tite Kubo in the Bleach JET artbook, BURN THE WITCH is set 12 years after the events of Bleach's Thousand-Year War arc, and 2 years after Bleach's final chapter.
• You Sound Familiar:
  • Kyle Hebert who voices Wolfgang previously voiced Sosuke Aizen in Tite Kubo's previous work Bleach.
  • In the Latin American Spanish dub, Enzo Fortuny (Bruno Bangnyfe) previouly did random voices in Bleach, while Eduardo Garza (Jimmy Hackaby) voiced the hero Ichigo Kurosaki as well.
