Trivia / Brüno (2009)

• All-Star Cast: The film ends with Bruno making a charity music video with Bono, Slash, Snoop Dogg, Chris Martin, Sting and Elton John.
• Dawson Casting: 37 year old Sacha Baron Cohen as 19 year old Bruno.
• Deleted Role: LaToya Jackson's scene was cut from the theatrical release after her brother Michael died mere hours before the movie was due to premiere.
• Deleted Scene: Many. Most notably an entire section where Bruno is reporting for a local news station in Texas. During one of his interviews Diesel shows up and breaks up with him. (Instead of the breakup at the airport before Bruno leaves for LA.) This causes him to contemplate suicide and talk with a funeral planner.
• Distanced from Current Events: Universal Studios and Sacha Baron Cohen had to remove a scene where Bruno interviews LaToya Jackson and steals her phone to get Michael Jackson's phone number just hours before the film's red carpet premiere in Los Angeles on June 25th, 2009 when news broke that Michael had died.
• Enforced Method Acting: Like Borat, very little was traditionally scripted and Sacha Baron Cohen had to improvise as though his life depended on it.
