• Dummied Out: Northern Rebirth's code, prior to version 1.15.5, contains an incomplete, branching "evil" storyline, where the main character is forced to become a necromancer, fight his friends, and eventually find redemption by killing a dragon.
• Killer App: While it's a multiplatform game, it was cited as an example in the pre-Steam era that yes, there actually are good games on Linux.
• Running the Asylum: The game is completely built and developed by people who are essentially volunteering non-paid fans. Fans make the art, the music, the campaigns. Fans write the lore and decide the canon. And, so far, they've been doing a pretty good job.
