Trivia / Atop the Fourth Wall: The Movie

Go To

  • Troubled Production: The film's production went mostly smooth, but the one bump the Not So Awesome document reported on was that the required studio space was expected to be the Channel Awesome studio (the same one Nostalgia Critic was being filmed at). While Rob and presumably Doug Walker was fully on board with letting Lewis and crew film there, Mike Michaud demanded that filming be done under supervision. Discouraged by the lack of trust, filming instead took place at another studio for which production had to pay more for than if they had filmed at Channel Awesome. Interestingly, this studio didn't bother with supervising the filming.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Had Nash not agreed to be in the film, his role would have been given to Noah Antwiler.
    • Had Allison Pregler not appeared, the Nostalgia Critic would have been given a larger role, with a side story of how the others don't really like him. '90s Kid would open up to him, and try to be supportive towards the Critic.
    • An earlier idea for the movie would've featured a more comedic story where Linkara went up against a threat from Ancient Egypt, as a reference to his Running Gag about Ancient Egypt being evil.
  • Word of God:
    • Malachite's Hand was destroyed when the the Caelestis was blown up, and is never coming back.
    • Lewis clarified during a livestream that Linkara was indeed possessed by The Entity during the events of the film, but it simply chose not to get involved because it was intrigued by what was going on.
