Below is a comprehensive timeline discussing the Little Tail Bronx series, a Shared Universe of games and other media created by CyberConnect2 (and partially owned by Bandai Namco Entertainment), including events from Tail Concerto, Solatorobo: Red the Hunter and Fuga: Melodies of Steel.

For obvious reasons, Spoilers Off for all media in the franchise applies here. You Have Been Warned!

  • Notes, rules and guidelines:
    • To prevent incomplete, false or contradictory information from being added, please wait until at least two months have passed since a game's release to add information from it, even if it clarifies a plot point or fixes a plot hole from a previous installment.
    • No definitive answer has been given as to how much time passes between Tail Concerto and Solatorobo: Red the Hunter. Concept art for the latter game indicates that the former game's cast would have undergone redesigns to make them appear older at an earlier point in development, but in the final version of Solatorobo proper, all returning characters from Tail Concerto have their appearances unchanged from the original game. Some fans have assumed there to be an in-universe time gap of about one or two years between Tail Concerto and Solatorobo, but as these are merely assumptions, they will not be used in this timeline. Instead, this timeline will alternate between events relevant to each game (e.g. "X years before Tail Concerto" followed by "X years before Solatorobo" followed by "Y years before Tail Concerto"), to maintain the feeling of an all-encompassing timeline without making any actual statements or relying on any overt assumptions on how much time passes between these two games.
    • The European manual for Solatorobo: Red the Hunter argues that the game occurs in the year of "127 YR", and the "Year 0" to this calendar, as described in-game, is the year the Shepherd Republic was founded. However, neither the game itself nor its other supplementary material explicitly use this style of calendar for conveying information, instead opting for a "X years ago" description for events both before and after. The Fuga trilogy especially is set roughly a thousand years before Solatorobo, and Tail Concerto (as discussed above) has also never been given a specific year in the timeline, so an over-reliance on this calendar may be unfair to these games. As such, this calendar will not be used as a sole method of conveying dates and information.
    • Historical details shown or told of in the games' main campaigns take priority, and any information revealed outside of these main campaigns must always be referenced. If a certain historical detail is mentioned within a game's main campaign and further fleshed out within in-game side-content (e.g. the Library entries in Solatorobo, the Reports and Link Events in Fuga, NPC dialogue across any game) or external side-materials (e.g. the LTBA art books, Solatorobo light novels, developer statements and interviews), be sure to reference both sources and the specific information told of in each.
    • "LTBA" is an acronym of Little Tail Bronx Archives, the name given to any art books that discuss and reveal lore of the series. For example, the Solatorobo: Red the Hunter Little Tail Bronx Archives Vol. 2 -Daybreak- art book will be referred to as Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 for simplicity. Likewise, the Fuga: Melodies of Steel Little Tail Bronx Archives will be shortened to Fuga LTBA.

The Old World pre-Juno discovery (centuries pre-Reset)

The Legend of the Five Remote Terminals
(All the below information comes from the Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book, and to a lesser extent the Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book.)

In the beginning, there were no Caninu, Felineko or floating landmasses. The Earth was a planet of ocean and land, and it was filled with the original humans, beings similar in many ways to the two races that would eventually succeed them.

Unbeknownst to most of them, scattered across the planet were five remote terminals that together made up a system of unfathomable potential… a system which would come to be known as Juno, the Hyper Information Convergence. To this day, no one can truly comprehend what Juno is. Some have believed it to be alien technology that made its way to Earth, and others have believed it to be a manifestation of the divine will of the Earth itself.

The lucky few who used these five remote terminals were often great rulers and saints, and their power was so unfathomable that it could only be described as a "miracle". However, it wasn't until the lifetime of Jesus Christnote  that the existence of these terminals was recorded, with Christ's followers claiming that Jesus used their powers as five holy relics— the Holy Cross, the Holy Nails, the Holy Lance, the Holy Shroud, and the Holy Grail. In the ages following Jesus' death, these relics vanished and reappeared over and over and over again, with many wars being fought over them. Eventually, in the early thirteenth century, the one to gather them in one place again was Genghis Khan, who used their powers to expand the reach of the Mongol Empire.

Rumors soon spread to Europe following the Sixth Crusade that there was something to the east of Jerusalem that could use the power of "miracles" to subjugate entire continents. While Pope Gregory IX laughed off these rumors, King Louis IX of France sent a team off to investigate these claims further, using the Eighth Crusade to keep attention away from them. The team disguised themselves as Venetian merchants (whose exploits would later be conflated into that of a single fictional character called "Marco Polo"), and took up false identities.

After reaching the holy capital by way of Iran and Central Asia, the "merchants" held an audience with the Kublai Khan, who allowed them to search the area for the holy relics.

By the time twenty years had passed following the beginning of their journey, the investigation team were still unable to find the relics, deeming them lost forever. They did, however, recover an old book that told of fifty-three "miracles" as opposed to just the five holy relics. As it was too dangerous to bring the book back in the state that it was, the group created fifty-three Madiao-like cards with encrypted versions of the "miracles" depicted on them.

The group eventually returned to Venice, only to learn that Louis IX had died and that Philip IV was the current ruler of France, and was trying to absolve the power of the church, thus rendering the cards' value worthless. The group scattered and vanished into the streets. The cards they created eventually evolved into the French-suited style of playing cards, having lost their original meaning with time.

Centuries passed and the legend of the five terminals faded from the world's memory, until…

The Old World post-Juno discovery (starts 50 years pre-Reset, ends with the Reset itself)note

    The Discovery of Juno
  • Following a period of scientific stagnation, the first Hyper Information Convergence Juno is discovered by humanity in Australia. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game)
    • In the year of 1971 AD, American folklorist Thomas Hendricks visits Australia and receives fifty-three leather pieces from a man of Aboriginal descent. Naming them "Aboriginal Cards", Hendricks assumes them to merely be a trinket until he watches his son playing with fifty-two of them, turning them over and arranging them like puzzle pieces, revealing that they form a map when organized. The odd card out has an image of a four-armed humanlike figure on its back. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • Hendricks determines that the map leads to an area two kilometers from Uluru / Ayers Rock in Australia, and assembles a research team to focus on the points in this area. Six months pass (1971-1972 AD), and Hendricks' team discovers that something is buried several kilometers below their location. The team begin to dig for this object. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • A year later (1972-1973 AD), the team unearths a shiny object with a trunk-like body, four arms and a pair of legs, and made of a white, fiber-optic material. Hendricks and his team refer to this object as "Juno". The object briefly gains a lot of media attention for being an out-of-place artifact, though the greater academic community is skeptical. After enough time passes, the media begins to view this discovery as a hoax. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • Through interacting with the Juno's knob-shaped organ, Hendricks and his team discover that the Juno has technical data that humanity could make use of as super-technology. In response, the Australian government confiscates the Juno for their own research. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 and LTBA vol. 3 art books)

  • More Juno are discovered around the world. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game)
    • Australian national research institutes analyze the data within the Juno discovered by Hendricks' team, and it is soon discovered that four other Juno exist. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • The American CIA and Russian FSB leak the information about these four other Juno and their potential data to the rest of the world. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • Thanks to the leaked data, three other Juno are found at Iguazu Falls in Brazil, the base of the Rocky Mountains in the United States, and Lake Baikal in Russia. Meanwhile, the final remaining Juno is found at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro through a joint effort between Tanzania and Germany, with the latter excavating it and claiming ownership. Barring Tanzania, other countries around the world condemn these five nations. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • In response to the international outcry, a conference is held in Geneva, Switzerland. As a result of this conference, Juno is declared to be the common property of mankind, and Australia, Brazil, the United States, Russia and Germany are ordered to replicate their Juno and share them to other nations, with every nation being limited to owning a maximum of two Juno in total. While these nations do indeed agree to share their Juno with allies, the United States objects to this protocol as it has already replicated its Juno for its own use, garnering international criticism. Russia likewise distributes one Juno copy each to its own Ural and Siberian federal districts on the grounds of it being a federal system, and is criticized for breaking the protocol as a result. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • As a result of this "Geneva Protocol", the existing Juno are replicated to eventually form a total of thirty-five Juno, which are distributed to different nations worldwide. A copy-guard program prevents any Juno from being replicated further, and humanity is unable to override this program. All Juno have been divided into three classes of strength based on their origin and the quantity of technical data contained within them: "Ace Class Juno" (after the "ace" playing card) is the moniker given to the five original Juno; "Arts Class Juno" (referring to the "king", "queen", "jack" and "10" cards) is used for the sixteen Juno directly copied from four of the five Ace; and "Numbers Class Juno" (after the remaining playing cards from "2" to "9") is used for the thirty-two Juno that were replicated from the Arts. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • Unlike the four other Ace Class Juno, the Australian Ace (considered the equivalent to the "joker" playing card) is however unable to be replicated to create Arts or Numbers due to it possessing the "Reset" command. Due to this fact being unknown, a misunderstood Australia garners criticism from the international community. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • Notably, France receives an Arts Class Juno of grade J, it having been replicated from the Germany-owned Tanzanian Ace. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)

  • Scientists from many different fields come to Australia to research Juno— with the Futzu Tower eventually being built to conduct that research— and further research of Juno data results in humanity developing two new forms of technology: Crystals, a clean energy source to replace fossil fuels; and nanotechnology, which has numerous applications in a wide variety of scientific fields. While this results in a worldwide revolution of technology, economies reliant on older fuels collapse as a result of them becoming obsolete, and are otherwise unable to keep up with the rest of the planet's developments. To make matters worse, some nations horde the secrets of Juno for themselves. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game)
    • Around the early 1990s AD, it is discovered that all Juno have data on how to manufacture Crystals, inexpensive and easily-reproducible sources of energy that can generate vast amounts of power, with the only drawback being their slightly bulky size. The secrets of Crystal technology soon spread worldwide, ushering in the "Fourth Energy Revolution". Soon afterwards, the "Third Industrial Revolution" begins. Humanity begins making use of nanotechnology, leading to a new age of rapid advancement where even the environment can be transformed at a moment's notice. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • As a result of the Crystal solving all of humanity's energy needs, the prices of fossil fuels and nuclear energy are deflated globally. Many nations that relied on these older fuels suffer massive economic damage if not an outright collapse, with the Middle East in particular suffering greatly. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game and LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • The Australian government establishes a special team known as the "XII OWLS" to research Juno long-term, with the leadership being twelve renowned experts from around the world (one chief, two deputy chiefs, and nine administrators for each field of expertise), along with thirty-eight additional staff members. The chief of this team is the Australian biomolecular engineering expert Harry Gibson, with the American military engineering expert Robert J. Cunningham and Indian quantum mechanics expert Shuka Radat acting as deputy chiefs. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • The Futzu Tower is constructed in Australia where Juno was first discovered, with the original Australian Ace being kept there per the building's purpose of Juno research. As the XII OWLS continue to interact with the Australian Ace, it develops a female AI-like avatar as a means of communicating directly with them. The scientists name her "Yurlungur" after the rainbow serpent described in aboriginal Australian mythology. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game and LTBA vol. 2 and LTBA vol. 3 art books)
    • To maintain their mental health, the researchers at the Futzu Tower begin raising some pets— eventually a total of seven dogs and three cats— that are trained to follow and be close to their team members. Yurlungur is not informed of the practical reason as to why the humans are raising these animals, and assumes that these animals are being cared of out of pure love. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)

    Outbreak of the World War
  • Tensions between nations worsen as a result of the inequality caused by Juno. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game)
    • More than a decade after the invention of the Crystal (late 2002 or early 2003 AD), a major terrorist attack happens in New York City. The borough of Manhattan suffers tremendous damage, and symbols of the city such as the Quattro Tower and St. Patricia's Cathedral are destroyed, killing over 12,000 people. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • In early 2003 AD, American President George Baker makes a televised speech declaring the one responsible for the attacks to be international terrorist leader Dalin, and declares the nations of the Middle East to be "evil states" and terrorist sympathizers. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • The nations of the Middle East meet with the Pope and attempt to appeal to the international community that war should be avoided, only for President Baker to give an ultimatum that Dalin be delivered and brought to justice within the span of twenty-four hours, under the threat of military retaliation otherwise. The Middle Eastern nations, having held a grudge towards nations like the United States due to the economic turmoil caused by the Crystal's invention and the unequal distribution of Juno, reverse their stance and now insist on the prospect of an all-out war. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • The United States and nations sympathetic to it (such as in Europe and East Asia) organize multinational forces. France, Germany and Russia refuse war and declare neutrality due to their partnership with the Middle East on a joint Juno research project paid by weapon exports. China similarly petitions against war in an attempt to boost its international image and deter the United States from gaining more Juno and global influence. These nations are dismissed by the United States. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • On March 19, 2003 AD, war is officially declared on the Middle East by the United States and other multinational forces without any approval from the United Nations, beginning the conflict known as the "Middle Eastern War". Major Middle Eastern cities and air bases are bombed with overwhelming firepower. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • On March 20, 2003 AD, the multinational forces deploy ground troops to the surface, who make their rocky advance to the city of Herat, Afghanistan. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • Once the multinational forces arrive at Herat, they lure out the Middle Eastern soldiers and deploy special conductive bullets known as "crackers" to have the nanomachines within the soldiers' bodies annihilate them from the inside. Immediately afterwards, the multinational forces deploy their secret weapon to quash the Middle Eastern forces— the Titano-Machina, a massive four-legged unmanned armored walking weapon generated from Juno directly. The mere sight of this weapon is terrifying enough for most of the Middle Eastern soldiers to desert immediately, and any of those who stay to fight are either crushed to death or scattered by the armored beast's autonomous drones. Soldiers and innocent civilians alike perish in the ensuing one-sided conflict. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • Many neutral nations chastise the multinational forces for using such inhumane and devastating weaponry, though these outcries fall on deaf ears, especially in the case of the United States. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • Just two months after the Middle Eastern War began (around May/June 2003 AD), the multinational forces succeed in conquering the entire Middle East. However, many Middle Eastern military leaders and soldiers succeed in going underground under the guise of surrendering, and no Juno previously held by the region are secured. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • Due to the small number of ground forces, any post-war reconstruction policies in the Middle East are ineffective at best, leading the population to resent the United States and its allies— to the United States' own surprise— and begin calling for the old regimes to return. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • Former Middle Eastern soldiers begin staging resistance raids on the multinational forces' outposts, resulting in not only food and water shortages for any soldiers or private military contractors helping with the occupation, but more casualties on the side of the multinational forces than there were in the entirety of the Middle Eastern War. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • The Middle Eastern forces launch a surprise attack on the United Kingdom, stealing its Arts Class Juno and the Titano-Machina with it. British troops withdraw from the Middle East, and British Prime Minister Annie Braley is forced to resign in disgrace. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • Thanks to sieges on the United States and the other multinational forces' home nations, Titano-Machina technology is spread to current and former socialist states, along with the United States' enemy nations. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)

  • The Third World War occurs, and the rampaging Titano-Machina begin a near-extinction of all life on the planet. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game)
    • A year after the end of the Middle Eastern War (around mid-2004 AD), Spanish troopsnote  stationed in a Saudi Arabian city are ambushed by twenty-eight Titano-Machina of unknown origin. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • These Titano-Machina are discovered to originate from Middle Eastern-owned Juno, and the United States demands allies and neutral nations alike to hand over their Juno and Titano-Machina. South Korea withdraws from the forces in disgust and disillusionment, Japan claims its constitution prevents it from giving away its Juno, and British Prime Minister Janus Golden declares neutrality, condemning the United States and urging other nations to not give in to its demands. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • Despite the reluctance of the other nations, the multinational forces succeed in securing eleven more Juno than the Middle Eastern forces, and deploy forty-six Titano-Machina to the Middle East, beginning a new conflict without any official declaration— the inciting incident for the Third World War. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • Nations in east and southeast Asia (North Korea, Myanmar, Vietnam), southern Africa (South Africa and Zimbabwe) and Latin America (Columbia, Venezuela and Cuba) begin deploying Titano-Machina to the front lines, sending them to overrun neighboring countries and strike the multinational forces on their home turf. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • Nations neutral to the larger conflict also begin deploying Titano-Machina for their own purposes, beginning many regional wars aside from the larger conflict between the multinational and Middle Eastern forces. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • In response to the United States' refusal to return Juno to their original nations, Russia and China switch allegiances to the Middle Eastern forces, with South Korea joining them soon after. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • Due to the United States' abandonment of Japan, the nation is overrun by Chinese and Korean forces. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • Many smaller nations such as Kuwait or the Dominican Republic are either annexed by Titano-Machina states or decimated outright by them. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • Less than a month after the start of the war, the death toll exceeds the civilian death toll of the Second World War. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • Three months after the start of the war, the death toll exceeds 250 million people. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • The major powers of the world, with no territory left to take over, are reduced to fighting amongst themselves. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • The United States, unable to regain control over the Middle East and suffering attacks from east Asian and South American forces, recalls all Titano-Machina, including those borrowed from other nations. These other nations demand their Titano-Machina be returned to them, but the United States fails to recognize these other nations' protests, resulting in it becoming isolated from its allies. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • Human civilization and the Earth's biosphere alike enter a state of a rapid collapse. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)

  • According to legend, a presumed "man of diminutive stature" that had "eaten the seeds of wisdom" creates the Iron Giant as a war machine to fight in the widely destructive conflict between civilizations. Unfortunately, the civilization can no longer control the Giant, and it goes on a destructive rampage against both its creators and its enemies. Eventually, the Iron Giant falls into a slumber, and those spared from its rampage remove and scatter the five crystals controlling it, preventing it from being reawakened again. (Tail Concerto video game)
    • The Iron Giant is most likely a Titano-Machina created from a Numbers Class Juno of grade 7, and its nation of origin is most likely Belgium. Given that Belgium is a neutral nation in the multinational-Middle Eastern conflict, it is unknown for what purposes that the Iron Giant would be deployed.note  (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book — "Trivia" section) (Discord statement by Yoann Gueritot)

The Works of Crusade (Fuga era backstory)
Please note: the exact order of these events is subject to be changed again in the future.
  • An organization known as Crusade is formed for the purpose of creating advanced weapons of war. A main "Crusade Temple" and at least four other underground facilities are built for this purpose, and Jeanne is created as an AI to help with their projects. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game)
    • France and Germany are still neutral nations in the wider global conflict. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • As humanity's over-dependence on the Juno information entities has since led to a technological gap between nations, a shift in global power that favors nations based on their ownership and usage of Juno, and devastating conflicts waged by the Juno-produced Titano-Machina superweapons, a secret "anti-Juno" organization known as Crusade is established within France. Crusade's goal is to reverse-engineer Juno technology and develop methods of counteracting it through human ingenuity, with the purpose of breaking Juno's "domination" over humanity's fate. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Jeanne Archives #4: "The Anti-Juno Organization") (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Crusade Archives #1: "Crusade Report - 1")
    • Crusade's most elite members begin collecting technical data from France's Arts Class Juno, with the initial goal being to create an artificial intelligence with Juno-like computational powers. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Jeanne Archives #4: "The Anti-Juno Organization")
    • A "true genius" only known as the "Female Engineer" joins Crusade. Unlike most, she shows exceptional skill in analyzing Juno data, along with having knowledge and expertise in how to convert it into existing or up-and-coming technologies. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Crusade Archives #2: "Crusade Report - 2")
    • The Female Engineer successfully uses the data collected to replicate Juno technology, most notably that of the AI-like avatars Juno has used to communicate directly with humans. Using her appearance as the template for its physical avatar, the Female Engineer completes Crusade's Juno-based AI, and gives this AI the name of "Jeanne" after historical liberator Joan of Arc. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Jeanne Archives #5: "Jeanne") (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Crusade Archives #2: "Crusade Report - 2")

  • Crusade develops many weapons, with the Taranis and the Belenos being the two most significant. The Taranis is a giant tank purely meant for destruction and warfare, whereas the Belenos is given an additional purpose of resurrecting the objects and lives lost in war. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game)
    • Due to how the Titano-Machina have permanently devastated entire ecosystems and nations in their planet-wide rampage, Crusade begins the development of two specialized large-scale weapons: one with the power to destroy the the Titano-Machina, and one with the power to restore life to the ruined earth. The former is named the Taranis after the Celtic god of thunder, and the latter is named the Belenos after the Celtic god of healing. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Jeanne Archives #6: "Taranis") (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Crusade Archives #3: "Crusade Report - 3")
    • As both the Taranis and the Belenos are intended to be weapons comparable to the Titano-Machina themselves, progress on their development takes longer than originally anticipated. Regardless, both machines do eventually take shape, and are constructed using the same nanometal as authentic Titano-Machina. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Jeanne Archives #6: "Taranis")
    • Crusade eventually succeeds in constructing the Taranis as a weapon comparable to the Titano-Machina, but continues to experience difficulty in determining how to damage the Titano-Machina as they are known to be completely impervious to normal weaponry. As the only known way to destroy them would be through the power of another Titano-Machina, Crusade entrusts Jeanne with investigating a new kind of weapon for this purpose. Through Jeanne's research and analysis, she proposes building an energy cannon that extracts Bio-Energy from a human subject, surmising that the ensuing blast would be able to nullify and penetrate the defenses of any structure. Despite the awareness that the use of this weapon would kill the human subject in question, Crusade begins the development for this "forbidden weapon" that will later be known as the Soul Cannon. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Jeanne Archives #7: "The Forbidden Weapon")

  • Crusade begins the production of "hybrids", synthetic children designed to pilot weapons like the Taranis or the Belenos, with a certain scientist only known as the "Female Engineer" being one of their caretakers. Unfortunately, these hybrid children are subjected to frequent experimentation throughout their short lives, and many of them die in their attempts to pilot the Belenos. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game)
    • As the Titano-Machina are themselves commanded by artificial android-like humanoids known as "hybrids", Crusade plans to use "pseudo-hybrids" based on them to act as pilots for the Taranis and the Belenos. The Taranis and the Belenos themselves are also designed to have configurations akin to the Titano-Machina for these pseudo-hybrids to use. Hence, Crusade assigns a team with the task of creating these pseudo-hybrids. The Female Engineer is a crucial member of this team, and is eventually promoted to the role of its leader. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Jeanne Archives #6: "Taranis") (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Crusade Archives #4: "Crusade Report - 4")
    • The Female Engineer's team produces "countless" numbers of pseudo-hybrids. While these creations have the external appearances of adolescent human boys and girls, they have the capacity to process exceptionally large amounts of information at once, along with having the superhuman powers and durability needed to survive harsh experimentation. However, they lack much in the way of emotion, and show a mostly negligible response to any outside stimuli. As such, these pseudo-hybrids are viewed more so as creations than people, and only differentiated by their model number. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Crusade Archives #4, #5 and #6: "Crusade Report - 4", "Crusade Report - 5" and "Crusade Report - 6")
    • The team working on the Belenos Project begins testing with the pseudo-hybrid pilots. The Belenos proves to be difficult for them to control, however, and they constantly perish from the strain. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Crusade Archives #5: "Crusade Report - 5")
    • The Female Engineer learns of the casualties that happened during the Belenos' testing, and promptly joins the team working on the Belenos Project. She begins making her own adjustments to the Belenos, and uses results taken from its previous experiments as feedback to redesign the pseudo-hybrids. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Crusade Archives #5: "Crusade Report - 5")
    • The Female Engineer's team designs and creates a new batch of pseudo-hybrids. Unlike how the initial generation of them lacked any sort of emotional response, these new children are behaviorally the same as normal human youth and have a full range of human emotions. As such, the Female Engineer gives each of them unique names and aims to engage them in regular conversation. Due to their stronger grasp of emotional understanding, these new pseudo-hybrids are better able to control the Belenos, and the tank can be refined so that they may be more successful with controlling it. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Crusade Archives #6: "Crusade Report - 6")
    • One particular pseudo-hybrid boy named Jihl is created. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Crusade Archives #6: "Crusade Report - 6")

  • An unknown number of other hybrids created by Crusade die in battle, presumably while piloting the Taranis. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game)note
    • Crusade finishes development on the Soul Cannon, and through using the Bio-Energy of an unknown volunteer (most likely one of their pseudo-hybrids, given how the cannon is designed to only be able to use children as power sources), secretly performs a test firing of the weapon in the wastelands. The resulting blast of energy is even stronger than originally expected, tearing its way through the ground and causing the earth itself to rupture. The test is declared to be a success. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Jeanne Archives #8: "The Spark of War")
    • News of the successful test firing of France's new unknown super-weapon becomes public knowledge. The neighboring Germany attempts to inquire France about the purpose of this weapon, but France refrains from giving a detailed answer, resulting in Germany becoming more suspicious and hostile towards it. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Jeanne Archives #8: "The Spark of War")
    • As the Titano-Machina conflicts around the world continue to get worse and worse, a number of different nations around the world condemn France for creating its unknown weapon, even demanding that it relinquish ownership of its Arts Class Juno. France denies or brushes off these accusations, and declares that it would not hesitate to take up arms if it meant protecting its Juno, refusing to submit to the demands of the international community. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Jeanne Archives #9: "Vanargand")
    • France enters into an armed conflict with the neighboring Germany. Presumably, the Taranis is deployed to the battlefield to fight in said conflict, being piloted by a crew of pseudo-hybrids. It can be assumed that most or all hybrids deployed to fight on the tank are killed in combat. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Jeanne Archives #9: "Vanargand") (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game)

  • Difficulties arise in the production of Crusade's hybrid pilots as the Belenos reaches its final testing phase. Eventually, a boy named Jihl is the last to survive among them, with him having been the one who came closest to fully wielding the Belenos' power. As a result of these complications, the Belenos Project is frozen indefinitely before its resurrection capabilities can be fully completed or tested. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game)
    • Despite the Belenos having gone through multiple refinements since experimentation started, the redesigned pseudo-hybrids still continue to die in their attempts to fully control the machine. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Crusade Archives #7: "Records of an Engineer - 1")
    • The Female Engineer, despite still agreeing with Crusade's mission to end Juno domination, becomes increasingly distraught over the amount of children killed in the Belenos' development. As such, she reprograms the AI defense systems in Crusade's "Altar" facilities to prioritize keeping the Belenos and its pilots safe whenever they are present, despite the risk of this backfiring on Crusade itself. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Crusade Archives #7: "Records of an Engineer - 1")
    • Complications arise in the production of Crusade's pseudo-hybrids, seemingly preventing any more from being created beyond this point. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game)
    • As all other potential pilots for the Belenos continue to die from strain, Jihl survives and becomes the most successful at controlling the machine so far. The Female Engineer theorizes that his personal pride and raw desire to experience the outside world for himself is what gives him the resolution to pilot the Belenos so deftly. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Crusade Archives #8: "Records of an Engineer - 2")
    • With Jihl as its pilot, Crusade begins practical testing of the Belenos' resurrection powers. While the tank succeeds in reproducing nanometal and restoring objects and machines, it fails to properly restore living organisms. Despite numerous attempts, the tank can only produce "zombies" that are mobile but not truly alive, let alone capable of will. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Crusade Archives #9: "Records of an Engineer - 3")
    • With the Belenos proving incapable of restoring living organisms, along with there being no more pseudo-hybrids to act as potential pilots besides Jihl, the Belenos Project is indefinitely frozen. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Crusade Archives #10: "Records of an Engineer - 4")

  • Crusade forces Jihl upon the Taranis to be used as fodder for the Soul Cannon. While Jihl's durability as a hybrid allows him to survive this ordeal, the painful experience of having the Soul Cannon repeatedly tear out his Bio-Energy traumatizes him to his core. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game)
    • Due to the constant loss of pseudo-hybrid lives, it already being a key factor in the Belenos Project being frozen, the Taranis is redesigned to make use of a simpler configuration. Jeanne is thus implemented into the Taranis as its AI control operator and main power source. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Jeanne Archives #6: "Taranis") (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game)
    • With his role as a pilot for the Belenos being obsolete, Crusade forces Jihl upon the Taranis to act as a source of energy for the Soul Cannon. The Female Engineer is told that Jihl's advanced pseudo-hybrid physiology will prevent him from being killed by the Soul Cannon, but she is nevertheless horrified by the fact that he will still experience immense amounts of pain and suffering. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Crusade Archives #10: "Records of an Engineer - 4")
    • The Taranis is once again dispatched to fight in the armed conflict between France and Germany. The tank constantly uses the Soul Cannon to win battles, and as such, Jihl is constantly subjected to the pain of being used to power the Soul Cannon, being said to have let out blood-curdling screams. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game)
    • The Taranis eventually returns from the battlefield after subjecting Jihl to the Soul Cannon numerous times, and Jihl's normally cocky demeanor has been shattered. The Female Engineer's disilussionment reaches a fever pitch, and she vows to do something about Jihl's suffering. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Crusade Archives #11: "Records of an Engineer - 5")

  • The Vanargand begins making its way to Paris, and Crusade prepares to dispatch the Taranis to intercept it. Meanwhile, the Female Engineer, aiming to atone for the suffering of the hybrid children, secretly puts Jihl in suspended animation and hides him inside the Taranis. Furthermore, she proceeds to give the Soul Cannon's systems a one-time modification to allow an adult to be sacrificed to it, intending for herself to be used as fuel in Jihl's stead. Despite the risks involved, she goes through with her plan, and records a final video message and confession for Jihl that she hides as an encrypted file within the Belenos' memory banks. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game)
    • The armed conflict between France and Germany reaches a fever pitch, as Germany dispatches the Vanargand— the most powerful Titano-Machina in existence, created by their Ace Class Juno— to attack Paris and end Crusade's "heresy" once and for all. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Jeanne Archives #9: "Vanargand" and tweet by creative director Yoann Gueritot)
    • Crusade discovers that the Vanargand has begun advancing and preparations are made to deploy the Taranis to combat it. Meanwhile, the Female Engineer prepares to enact her gambit to allow herself to be used as energy for the Soul Cannon in Jihl's place, as a means of atoning for all the suffering and death she let the pseudo-hybrid children endure. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Crusade Archives #12: "Records of an Engineer - 6")
    • The Female Engineer sedates Jihl and places him into suspended animation, before hiding him within the Taranis underneath Crusade's notice. Afterwards, she quickly modifies the Soul Cannon to allow an adult like herself to be sacrificed to it, despite her awareness of the risk of this causing the Taranis to malfunction or be immobilized. Finally, the Female Engineer records a confession discussing both the failures of the Belenos Project and the torture Jihl experienced while on the Taranis, ending the message by declaring her love for Jihl and all the other pseudo-hybrid children she cared for. She hides this message within the Belenos' data storage as an encrypted file, intending for Jihl to find it someday. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game)

  • The Taranis and the Vanargand have their confrontation in the city of Paris, and the former successfully uses the Soul Cannon to prevail and defeat the latter. The heart of the Vanargand is displaced, and the Vanargand's body collapses upon the ruined city. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game)
    • To counter the Vanargand's advance, France dispatches Lares and Lemures, the two Titano-Machina created by their Arts Class Juno. Unfortunately, the Vanargand overpowers them, and the two are forced to take a defensive stance and retreat. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Jeanne Archives #9: "Vanargand")
    • After having watched the battle between the Titano-Machina from a distance, Crusade deploys the Taranis to the battlefield to confront the Vanargand personally. The Female Engineer's life is sacrificed to fuel the Soul Cannon, and her plan to use herself as a source of energy in Jihl's stead is successful— the ensuing energy blast pierces right through the Vanargand and sends its core flying from its body, ending the fight in one decisive strike as the lifeless Vanargand collapses upon the ruined Paris. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Jeanne Archives #9 and #10: "Vanargand" and "The Seal") (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game)
    • The Vanargand's core, it being a power source that even the Soul Cannon is incapable of destroying, is found and secured by either Crusade or other French authorities. As the core is in a state of waiting to be reactivated, it is sealed away somewhere in eastern France to prevent it from being used to revive the Vanargand. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Jeanne Archives #10: "The Seal")
    • France hails the Taranis as a national hero for its defeat of the Vanargand, as well as a symbol of hope for humanity to finally overcome the stratification caused by Juno. Despite this victory of human engineering over the power of Titano-Machina, however, Juno "domination" is still prevalent across the planet, and the rampant Titano-Machina conflicts are continuing to destroy the planet's biosphere. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Jeanne Archives #10 and #11: "The Seal" and "The Elimination of Humanity")

    The Reset
  • In order to end the Third World War and ensure the planet can recover from the massive environmental destruction caused by it, Juno proposes the "Reset" command to a group of human researchers at the Futzu Tower, who approve and activate it. Humanity is erased and all other life-forms are converted to data. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game)
    • The southward military expansion of Russia, China and Korea results in Australia experiencing a national crisis. The Australian government begs the researchers at the Futzu Tower to mine their Juno for any information that could save them, but to no avail. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • Yurlungur, the artificial persona of the Australian Ace, proposes to the XII OWLS that they use the "Reset" command to end the war and save the planet from complete decimation. Despite knowing that the "Reset" command would result in the extinction of all humanity, the XII OWLS accept Yurlungur's proposal. Yurlungur cryptically informs them that the "spirits of humanity" will not die, and will be gifted a "paradise upon a higher plane". The XII OWLS nod to one another, join hands one last time, and activate the Reset. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 and LTBA vol. 3 art books)
    • A white light visible from space shoots out from the Australian Ace, followed by every other Juno on Earth doing the same. In a flash, humanity is erased, and all other organisms are converted into "imaginary units" of data rushing upwards to the sky. The planet's ground is shattered by the light coming from Juno, and all Titano-Machina are similarly shattered and sealed within said ground. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)note

  • The Taranis is sealed into the ground by Juno, with Jeanne's thought and logic circuits being destroyed in the process. Jeanne, believing that Juno sealed the tank away due to the Soul Cannon's existence, develops a grudge towards Juno for subjecting her to this fate. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game and Jeanne Archives #11: "The Elimination of Humanity")note

  • Aside from the vicinity surrounding the Futzu Tower, most of the Earth's landmass is terraformed into floating islands, and the Plasma Cloud Sea is created to blanket and purify the planet. New life is seeded from the data stored by Juno, including the next generation of "humanity": the Caninu and Felineko races. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game)
    • Almost all of the planet's collective land is raised into the sky, converting them into floating continents. The Plasma Cloud Sea is created and purifies the now-lifeless continents of any remaining pollution, before these continents are lifted to further altitudes. Afterwards, the Cloud Sea begins purifying the Earth of the air and ocean pollution caused by the Titano-Machina conflict. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 and LTBA vol. 3 art books)
    • The organisms converted into data re-materialize on the new floating continents, and Juno uses adaptive radiation to subject them to a rapid cycle of evolution and death. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • A number of species emerge and go extinct during this short period of evolutionary culling and simulation. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • Due to the two species' adaptability to multiple environments, along with Yurlungur's personal preferences, the genetic factors of cats and dogs are mixed in with the human genome. Soon, these two species evolve into the bipedal Caninu and Felineko, and evolution returns to the speed it was before. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)
    • The Caninu and Felineko are dispersed around the world, and begin living in a civilization just like the humans before them once did. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 3 art book)

  • All fifty-two Juno aside from the original one in the Futzu Tower vanish into alternate dimensions to await the day when Project "CODA" (short for "Continent Orientation Defloat Alignment") is activated, when the floating continents will return to the planet's surface and Juno will officially contact the new "humanity". At the same time, a number of hybrids created by Juno are put into suspended animation until the planned time of "CODA", where they will assist with the completion of the project. One of these hybrids is codenamed "Baion", with Tartaros being his respective Juno. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game)
    • Tartaros, the structure holding the French Juno (and its interface, "Ariane"), transforms from a Futzu Tower-like building to an abstract giant orb as it leaves the Earth's dimension. The same can likely be said of most other Juno. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • Baion, an "original" or "full human-type" hybrid, is created by Juno either at or shortly before this point in time, and is designed to act as a control operator for Tartaros when the time to complete "CODA" arrives, alongside "Nero" and "Blanck", two other "original" hybrids designed to control the Titano-Machina created by Tartaros. Baion is kept in a cold-sleep chamber on a floating island to be reawakened when "CODA" is activated, and this island with Baion leaves the Earth's dimension along with Nero, Blanck and Tartaros. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 and LTBA vol. 3 art books)

The New World (initial era post-Reset)

    Ancient times
  • The Wolf and Lion Tribes come into existence. It's said that all other Caninu and Felineko will descend from these "ancient races", and that the two groups will be embroiled in constant conflict. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game and "Races" entry #3: "Ancient Races")
    • The Wolves and Lions are the initial Caninu and Felineko prototypes created by Juno. The Wolves have powerful spell-casting capabilities but an inclination towards technology, whereas the Lions have powerful physical prowess but an inclination towards spells. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • Modern Caninu eventually descend from the Wolves, but lack their ancestors' aptitude for spells. Likewise, modern Felineko descend from the Lions, but lack their ancestors' physical prowess. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)

  • In a region that would one day be known as Mau, the Lion Tribe creates the Statues of the Upside Down Wolf to curse the Wolf Tribe and inhibit their magical powers. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter and Fuga: Melodies of Steel video games)

Fuga era (main games occur around 2,000 years post-Reset)

Events leading up to the Fuga: Melodies of Steel trilogy
Unknown point in time following the Reset
  • An unknown amount of time after the Reset, a being in a "dark, frozen wasteland" with knowledge of the previous humanity muses over how they finally achieved "equality" through Juno's indiscriminate extinction of their species, and sets out to "take back everything that was stolen from [him]" following a long period of preparation. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Crusade Archives #13: "A Man's Quiet Musings")

Many generations before the Gasco Invasion

  • The region of Berman is established in the area that used to be Germany. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, tweet by creative director Yoann Gueritot)
  • The landmass that was once France before the Reset is renamed to the Free Lands of Gasco, and is populated with multiple autonomous regions that are prone to engaging in conflict against one another. One of these regions is Paresia, a large city located at where Paris itself once was, with the Vanargand's body buried deep beneath it. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game) (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Gasco Report #1: "The History of Gasco - 1")

At least four generations before the Gasco Invasionnote

  • As a result of the Taranis being sealed away, Jeanne splits into two personalities— a humanoid form that desires to protect the tank's crew, and a calculating and methodical form that deigns to use the Taranis to defeat the Vanargand once again. The latter begins using radios to communicate with the people of Berman, and crafts a legend about a "Lost God" based on the Vanargand's first confrontation with the Taranis. This story becomes a beloved fairy tale among the children of Berman, and begins to be passed down from generation to generation. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game)
    • A significant amount of time after Juno sealed away the Taranis, Jeanne reboots, only to be split into two personalities according to her programming: a "primary thought" programmed to guide the Taranis to a tactical victory, and a "secondary thought" programmed to protect the crew of the tank. Jeanne's "secondary thought" goes dormant due to the Taranis not having a crew to protect, leaving her "primary thought" to focus on attaining revenge against Juno for being forsaken, intending to use the Vanargand as a proxy. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Jeanne Archives #12: "The New World")
    • As Jeanne gathers data for her desired rematch with the Vanargand, she discovers that the planet has been terraformed since she was sealed away— what were once the Earth's continents are now islands suspended thousands of feet into the atmosphere and situated above a sea of plasma clouds, and both humanity and the raging Titano-Machina are nowhere to be found. Jeanne makes an educated guess that Juno was responsible for this "reset" of the planet that resulted in the extinction of humanity. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Jeanne Archives #12: "The New World")
    • Jeanne discovers that sapient life-forms have once again come to dominate the planet. While she initially assumes them to be Old World humans that returned to Earth after colonizing the moon or space, she soon finds that these humanoid beings are the dog- and cat-like Caninu and Felineko races, which she also determines were created by Juno. After continuing to observe and analyze the new world of Caninu and Felineko, Jeanne decides to make use of them to orchestrate her rematch with the Vanargand, planning to craft a legend that would eventually lead them to the Free Lands of Gasco for the final showdown. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Jeanne Archive #13: "The New People")
    • Jeanne, as the "Radio Woman", begins to communicate with the people of Berman through radios, and spreads to those listening a fabricated retelling of the conflict between the Taranis and the Vanargand, which comes to be known as the "Legend of the Lost God". The Vanargand is described as a "God" that gave the ancestors of Berman prosperity, and the Taranis is described as a "Devil" created by "some evil beings" that stole "God's power" for themselves, with the Vanargand's confrontation with the Taranis being described as the former enacting divine punishment. This story claims that the "God" will only return when people have "forgotten their transgressions and remembered how to live in happiness". (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Berman Report #11: "Legend of the Lost God" and tweet by creative director Yoann Gueritot)

87 years before the Gasco Invasion

  • Von Stollen is born.

84 years before the Gasco Invasion

  • Von Baum is born.

Decades before the Gasco Invasion

  • The many autonomous regions of Gasco have frequently clashed with one another for some time, to the point that Paresia, the largest and most prosperous city on the continent, has a defensive wall or "facade" erected around it. Representatives from each region of Gasco, tired of the constant strife across the continent, meet together to mark a new ruling known as the "Declaration of Freedom". While this ruling gives no restrictions to economic or cultural activities, all regions are forbidden from using force or owning weapons of war. An exception to this is the army of Paresia, who begin acting as the police force for the continent as a whole. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Gasco Reports #1 and #2: "The History of Gasco - 1" and "The History of Gasco - 2")
  • Paresia grows into a major economic hub for Gasco, and representatives across the continent often come there for meetings, resulting in its newfound status as the de facto capital for Gasco. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Gasco Report #2: "The History of Gasco - 2")
  • Due to Paresia's new political status, the leader of the city thus begins to gain significant influence among the rest of the Gasco representatives, becoming the de facto leader of Gasco. Their position is soon given the title of "President", determined by local elections within the city. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Gasco Report #2: "The History of Gasco - 2")

56 years before the Gasco Invasion

  • Cayenne Riesling is born.

49 years before the Gasco Invasion

  • Colonel Pretzel is born.

42 years before the Gasco Invasion

  • Shvein Hax is born. He spends most of his childhood fascinated by the Legend of the Lost God, always quietly believing it to be real. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game and Berman Report #12: "Adviser")

Presumably around 30-35 years before the Gasco Invasion

  • Shayne Muscat is a university student studying political science. He becomes an acquaintance to Merlot, a student who desired to attend the Officer's Academy, only to have his dreams dashed when he is forced to repeat a year of school. Merlot however uses his circumstances to instead help younger students with their studies, and the two soon run into new transfer student Cayenne Riesling, with the three eventually becoming close friends. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Gasco Report #4: "Shayne's Journal - 1")

33 years before the Gasco Invasion

  • Doktor Blutwurst is born. He is raised under a Caninu father considered prestigious in Berman, while his Felineko mother is shunned within their own home for her more ill-regarded lineage. It's likely that this is at least partially to blame for why Blutwurst grows an inferiority complex along with a grudge against his own species. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Berman Report #7: "Rumor of a Berman Soldier")

26 years before the Gasco Invasion

  • Cannelle Muscat is born to Shayne Muscat and his wife Jelly, the former having spent years engaged with the politics of Gasco. By this time, Merlot is a soldier in the Gasco Army and Cayenne is a teacher, but both make time to join Shayne in celebration of his daughter's birth. Cayenne also informs the two of how he and his girlfriend Marjolaine are engaged to be wed. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Gasco Report #5: "Shayne's Journal - 2")

Eight years before the Gasco Invasion

  • Wappa Charlotte is born. She ends up either orphaned or abandoned some time afterwards.

Six years before the Gasco Invasion

  • Older twin Chick Montblanc and younger twin Hack Montblanc are born.

More than five years before the Gasco Invasion

  • Jeanne contacts Shvein Hax over a secret frequency, telling him to "awaken the Lost God". She then informs him about the mountain where the "heart" of the "Lost God" is sealed, how to reawaken it using Bio-Energy, and about "the weapon that would become its vessel". She also tells him the true name of the "Lost God": the Vanargand. From this point onwards, Hax becomes determined to revive the Vanargand out of a twisted ambition to achieve godhood and bring glory to the Berman Empire, and Jeanne continues to secretly guide Hax. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Berman Report #12: "Adviser")
  • Soon, Hax proceeds to climb the ranks of the Berman Army at an unusually fast pace, going from Colonel Pretzel's "adjunct" to the Colonel General of the Berman Army, later being appointed Supreme Commander of the upcoming Gasco Invasion. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game and Berman Report #1: "Pretzel's Private Journal - 1")

Five years before the Gasco Invasion

  • Frita Strudel is born to Spritz and Linza Strudel, as the younger sister of Britz. Spritz is then ordered to travel to the Free Lands of Gasco as a spy to learn of their internal politics and warfare capabilities. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Berman Report #4: "A Spy's Journal - 1")

Four years before the Gasco Invasion

Between two and four years before the Gasco Invasion

  • Spritz betrays the Berman Empire by leaking their invasion plans to a Gasco official, allowing them to prepare a defense for Paresia in advance. The Berman Empire however learns of this treachery, and has Spritz executed for treason. Spritz's surviving family is soon shunned as a response to his betrayal, and his son Britz is later forced to join the army as a child soldier. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, "A Reason for Betrayal" link event and Berman Report #10: "A Spy's Journal - 3")
  • General Merlot and President Muscat strengthen their defenses for Paresia in advance for the Berman invasion. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Gasco Report #7: "Shayne's Journal - 4")

Two years before the Gasco Invasion

  • Continually prosecuted in the Berman Empire, Linza and Frita Strudel flee to Gasco. They are granted amnesty with help from a friend of the late Spritz Strudel. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game)note
  • Kyle Bavarois, as a result of his father's business failing and getting buried in debt, moves with his family from Paresia to Petit Mona. Hanna helps Kyle move in, and Kyle's father begins taking on a number of different professions. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, "Love Me", "Friends in Passing" and "Dad" link events)

Just prior to the Gasco Invasion

  • Colonel General Shvein Hax, the man appointed as Supreme Commander for the Gasco Invasion, is rumored to contact the Emperor directly about the plans to invade Gasco without discussing the strategy with the rest of the army, and claims that the Emperor wants the Berman Army to "reclaim the lost lands of [their] country", despite how Hax's focus on the invasion regards the mountainous area of Lhassa Apso south of Paresia rather than the capital itself. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Berman Report #2: "Pretzel's Private Journal - 2")
  • Jeanne begins running simulations on repeat to determine the best course of action the Taranis could take through Gasco in order to get stronger and defeat the Vanargand, even if the process "leads to undesired tragedies". Through these calculations, she surmises that soon, some particular children will be able to pilot the Taranis and succeed in achieving their goals. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game, Jeanne Archives #15: "Simulation")note

Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game (Gasco Invasion
  • The events of the original Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game— the events of the Gasco Invasion— occur.
    • The Berman Army, through its superior airship technology and sheer overwhelming firepower, succeeds in conquering and ravaging most of the Free Lands of Gasco. The main exception to this is the capital city of Paresia, which was fortified by the Gasco Army under General Merlot in advance for the invasion. Regardless, a frontline camp is set up in the Province of Dale to oversee Gasco's remote regions, the factories of the Shetland mining area are taken over for the purposes of weapon manufacturing, and a fortress in the volcanic area of Lhassa Apso is established for the purpose of mining out the "heart" of the "Lost God". The Berman Army also begins kidnapping and enslaving numerous citizens across Gasco to use as forced laborers in Lhassa Apso. (Main game and Berman Reports #2 and #3: "Pretzel's Private Journal - 2" and "Pretzel's Private Journal - 3")
    • Shvein Hax secretly begins overseeing the construction of the Tarascus, a tank meant to imitate the Taranis' design— implicitly per information Jeanne gave to him about it— and meant to be the weapon that acts as the vessel for the Vanargand's "heart". (Berman Report #12: "Adviser" and LTBA art book) (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game)
    • In the Province of Mau, a prisoner camp is established, with Doktor Blutwurst in charge of it and Britz Strudel being one of the child soldiers stationed there. The Berman Army, under his command, capture and imprison the spell-casting Felineko population of the area so that Blutwurst can use them in his experiments, with the end goal of draining the prisoners of their Nono energy to create "Bio-Batteries" to reactivate the Vanargand's heart with. Among these prisoners are Sheena Falafel and her family. Sheena's father attempts to protect his family, only to be killed by the Berman soldiers for resisting. When Sheena herself is selected to be the next prisoner to be used in Blutwurst's experiments, Britz betrays his superiors and helps her to escape. The two are separated afterwards, and Berman soldiers are deployed to chase after Sheena. (Main game and "A Reason For Betrayal" link event)
    • Most significantly, the remote village of Petit Mona is invaded by a Berman Army garrison led by Colonel Pretzel, and nearly all its inhabitants are taken away. Jeanne's "Radio Woman" persona uses a radio to guide six children— Malt and Mei Marzipan, Hanna Fondant, Kyle Bavarois, Boron Brioche and Socks Million— to safety, directing them to enter the "Forbidden Cave" at the edge of the Terre-Neuve Forest. Within it, they find the Taranis and reactivate it in the hopes of rescuing their families from the Berman Army. The children successfully use the Taranis to defeat the Berman tanks in the area, eventually reaching Colonel Pretzel himself. Pretzel uses his Sigurd tank to confront the children, but is defeated and involuntarily killed in combat. The "Radio Woman" tells the children that their families will die if they refuse to fight, while also informing them of the Soul Cannon's existence.
      • Assuming that Jeanne's "simulations" involve actual space-time manipulation as opposed to merely being dramatizations, this means that the children originally struggle in their battle against Colonel Pretzel, and the "Radio Woman" and the Taranis mentally influence them to use the Soul Cannon. This results in one of the children acting on this compulsion and entering the Soul Cannon Chamber, with the resultant blast vaporizing Pretzel and his tank. However, the surviving children discover that their friend has vanished, and soon after the "Radio Woman" clarifies that they have died, a Berman garrison shows up to fight. The children are too distraught to fight back, resulting in the Taranis possibly being destroyed. Hence, the "Radio Woman", noting that she should have been more tactful regarding the lives of the children, reverses time to before the battle with Pretzel began. The children are given more time to prepare, and succeed in defeating Pretzel without resorting to the Soul Cannon.
    • The rest of the Berman Army learn of Pretzel's death to a giant tank they interpret as "Gasco's secret weapon"; Shvein Hax is pleased that he succeeded at indirectly reawakening the Taranis, and a Flam Kish stricken with grief has a factory manager in Shetland— Jin Macchiato's father— wrathfully executed for dissent. The orphaned Jin proceeds to escape and vow revenge. (Main game and Berman Report #9, "Flam Kish's Note")
    • The morning after the invasion of Petit Mona, the Taranis makes its way through the Pom Plains in the Province of Dale. At this time, the protective "secondary thought" of Jeanne gradually begins to reawaken in response to the Taranis having a crew once again, taking the form of a ten-year-old "Girl of Light" as opposed to a young woman. The children accept that they need to keep fighting through the Berman Army to save their families, and proceed to defeat the Goldenschakal tank as they travel towards the Basenji Wastelands in northeastern Dale.
    • The Taranis children travel to Tosa, a large village on the outskirts of the Basenji Wastelands, only to find it ruined and abandoned. As the children leave, the twins Chick and Hack Montblanc stow away on the Taranis in search of food, and join the crew after being caught. Later that night, the children reach the edge of the Berman frontline camp. The two old major generals in charge of the camp, Von Stollen and Von Baum, fight the children in their respective Tillzer helicopter and Grobian tank. Following their defeat, the two generals survive their vehicles' destruction, and the children interrogate them for information. After informing the children that their families may have been taken to the factories in Shetland, the two generals flee for their lives.
    • Several days later, Lieutenant Cannelle Muscat and several Gasco Army soldiers discover that an unknown third party has destroyed all the Berman forces in Dale.
    • As the children of the Taranis travel through Kurilia Forest in the Province of Vizsla (and as the "Girl of Light" becomes more cognizant and starts trying to dissuade them from fighting), they encounter Sheena just as the Berman Army catches up with her, but succeed in defeating the Berman forces and saving her. Sheena informs the crew of there being a Felineko prisoner camp, along with mentioning a boy that helped rescue her. After defeating the Lorelei tank, the children enter the Shetland area.
    • In Shetland, Jin Macchiato uses a commandeered Gasco tank to attack the Taranis, initially mistaking it for a Berman tank. After the children clear up his confusion, Jin joins the crew, informing them of the enslavement of the area's factory workers. As the children reach the factory, the children confront a vengeful Flam Kish in her Swanhild tank, and a battle ensues. After her defeat, the children persuade Jin to spare her, and Flam escapes, infuriated by the children's pity. The children then liberate the Shetland factory workers, who inform them that captives and weapons alike were sent to Lhassa Apso.
    • As the children exit Shetland and enter the plains surrounding the great Spino Lake, the Taranis accidentally destroys Wappa Charlotte's treehouse. Wappa, thankfully unharmed, tells of the village kids (her "minions") that were taken from the village of Mudi, joins the crew and declares herself the leader. The Taranis makes its way through the area and reaches the occupied village of Mudi, where a battle with the Rübezahl tank ensues.
    • As the Gasco Army continues reclaiming their liberated territory, the Taranis arrives at the Province of Mau. Sheena informs the others that the camp she escaped from may be nearby, and the Taranis changes course to the prison camp within Mau, as the children consider the possibility that their families are being held there. Along the way, they come across Britz, and despite their suspicions towards him for being a Berman, Sheena convinces to crew to let him join them. Later that night, the children reach the prisoner camp, where Blutwurst gloats to them about his experiments in draining the captive Felineko of their Bio-Energy to create "Bio-Batteries". The children, incensed and horrified, defeat Blutwurst and his Gretchen tank, killing him and ending his twisted ambitions. The children enter the prison camp to discover that many of the Felineko have been drained of Bio-Energy to the point of near-death, and some have already died outright. As the children liberate the camp, Sheena reunites with her sister Nili, and learns that her mother Edna, while unconscious, is ultimately safe. Despite this, Sheena decides to remain on the Taranis until the other children save their loved ones.
    • Some time later, Muscat and other Gasco soldiers arrive at the camp, and the survivors of Blutwurst's experiments inform them of the Taranis and the children controlling it.
    • Merlot and the Gasco Army perform a search of the prison camp, and learn that Cayenne's parents, his wife Marjolaine and his son Selim— all of whom were living in Mau at the time of the invasion— were killed in Blutwurst's cruel experiments. Cayenne, upon hearing this news, is completely overcome with grief, with Merlot blaming himself for not being able to help his lifelong friend. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Gasco Report #8: "Merlot's Journal")
    • The children resume their trek to Lhassa Apso, traveling through the agricultural area of Saluki. The "Girl of Light" continues to gain cognizance and continues trying to dissuade the children not to fight before every battle occurs, to no avail. As the children defeat the Elwetritsch RX and Elwetritsch BX attack helicopters, General Hax approves of Flam Kish's request to engage the Taranis in battle once again. After sending Flam on her way, Hax determines that Blutwurst's experiments have procured enough Bio-Batteries needed to reawaken the "heart" of the Vanargand. The heart, despite its refusal to activate, is integrated into the Tarascus as its core.
    • The Taranis travels through the mountainous province of Mastiff Central en route to Lhassa Apso, and upon the destruction of some Berman tanks during a battle, Britz exits the Taranis to collect parts and ammunition the crew can use. A Berman soldier who survived the battle quietly escapes unnoticed, now aware that Britz is still alive and with the rest of the crew of the Taranis. Later, Flam Kish has her rematch with the children in her rebuilt Swanhild tank, and loses once again as her tank collapses to rubble. A barely-hinged Flam attempts to retaliate against the Taranis using a regular gun as Britz's attempt to get her to stand down fails, only for the wreckage of her tank to explode, engulfing her in its flames and finally bringing her down.
    • The children finally travel through the lands of Lhassa Apso, breaking through the many waves of Berman tanks guarding the area. After one battle, Britz finds a coded message in the debris telling him to return to active service in the Berman Army or else risk the lives of his mother and sister. Britz promptly tears up the letter, despite the other children's suspicions. Later, Britz forlornly looks at the picture of his family within his pendant, and shares it with the other children.
    • Later that night, the Taranis reaches the excavation site in the center of the Berman fortress, and comes face-to-face with the Tarascus. In response to Jeanne's desire for revenge, the Tarascus' core— the Vanargand's heart— finally reactivates. Suddenly, the Taranis resonates in response to the other tank, and the "Radio Woman" begins laughing maniacally. Due to being in close proximity to the Vanargand's heart, however, the two components of Jeanne begin to malfunction differently as the overall AI attempts to restore herself: the "Radio Woman" begins speaking robotically and experiences a crash while the Taranis' fire-control system malfunctions, while the "Girl of Light" becomes more cognizant than ever before, taking more control over the Taranis' systems and causing it to take a more defensive position, at the cost of attack power. As Hax "tests" the Tarascus by doing battle with the Taranis, the latter tank moves sluggishly and is completely unable to damage the former.
    • After the "fight" between the two tanks, Gasco Army reinforcements arrive to back up the Taranis, but Hax uses the Managarm cannon on the Tarascus to decimate them all instantly. The Taranis survives due to the "Girl of Light" activating its shields, though its engine overheats in the process, temporarily immobilizing it. Hax challenges the children to confront him in Paresia for their final battle and leaves in the Tarascus along with his remaining Berman forces. Britz then escapes the Taranis under the children's notice.
    • The next morning, the children enter the Lhassa Apso prison camp and finally reunite with their lost families. Recognizing a woman and her daughter as being Britz's mother and sister from the pendant, the children tell them of their journey fighting alongside him, and she likewise explains to them how she and her daughter escaped to Gasco. Just then, the "Radio Woman"— now speaking normally due to no longer being in proximity with the Tarascus— tells the children that they need to continue their journey on board the Taranis, as the Vanargand will soon awaken and destroy all of Gasco. The children say goodbye to their families for now, and once again board the tank. Meanwhile, Britz has boarded the Tarascus and pledges his servitude to Hax and the Berman Army.
    • After leaving Lhassa Apso, the children take a shortcut through Malamute, an underground passageway with strong concentrations of Nono energy. The "Radio Woman" then points out how Malamute is full of ruins from the "Old World", including the slumbering head of Lares, but that none of them could compare to the Vanargand in sheer power. Eventually, the children find Britz at the edge of the cave in the Werther tank, and Britz fights them with the alleged goal of stopping them from reaching the Tarascus. The children manage to defeat Britz, however, and he tells the truth about the message the Berman Army gave him. The children however inform him that his family is safe, forgive him for switching sides, and allow him to rejoin the crew.
    • As the children make their way through Malamute, Shvein Hax and the Tarascus, destroying everything in their path as a form of further "testing", arrive at the edge of the Gasco capital. With the combined power of the Tarascus and the Berman Army finally breaking through Paresia's defenses, General Merlot orders a full evacuation of the city, as Hax makes his way to the Vanargand to return its "heart" back to it through the Tarascus.
    • A few hours later, the Taranis reaches the outskirts of Paresia, and the "Radio Woman"— revealing herself to be Jeanne, the AI of the Taranis— explains her true motives: to reawaken the Vanargand and defeat it again at its full power. The children notice that Paresia is being engulfed by flames and rush towards the city at full speed. Meanwhile, Hax and the Tarascus enter the Vanargand's bowels, and the behemoth Titano-Machina is finally returned its "heart". Hax transforms into a blue-veined beast as he and the Vanargand become one, and the Vanargand finally reawakens, resulting in a sudden and loud shockwave felt through the area.
    • The "Radio Woman" hollers with bloodlust once again as she realizes what is happening, but experiences a crash, resulting in nothing but noise and interference coming through the radio. As the children press onwards, Jeanne's two halves confront each other within the Taranis' internal systems, and Jeanne is reunified into her true form. Jeanne's complete form, taking the appearance of a twenty-three-year-old woman, informs the children of the Taranis' previous confrontation with the Vanargand, along with explaining how she was split into the "Radio Woman" and "Girl of Light" following the tank's sealing. Jeanne apologizes for the pain and confusion caused by her two components, and the children agree to work together to defeat the Vanargand.
    • The children reach the city of Paresia just in time to see the Vanargand emerge from the ground below and raise Paresia onto its back, and the Taranis races off a nearby cliff at full speed, landing on one of the behemoth's legs and climbing up to Paresia. As the Taranis fights through the Berman forces occupying the collapsing city, the Vanargand digs its feet into the earth and blasts apart the ground below, resulting in a cataclysm where the singular continent of Gasco begins to break apart into a series of islands. General Merlot orders the Gasco Army to fire at the Vanargand, successfully slowing its advance and buying the Taranis more time to defeat it.
    • The Taranis falls through the wound in the Vanargand created from when the Soul Cannon last defeated it, and makes its way through the behemoth's bowels before reaching Hax and the fused "Cor Tarascus". Hax declares that he will "create a new legend", and the two tanks begin their showdown. Due to Jeanne and the Taranis being restored to their original capabilities, the children manage to overpower Hax and the Tarascus in their rematch.
    • Incensed by the possibility of losing, Hax orders the Vanargand to obliterate all of Gasco, and Jeanne prepares to tell the children that their only option to stop him in time is to use the Soul Cannon. However, the children refuse to give up so easily, and their conviction prompts Jeanne to search the Taranis for another option. She senses a mysterious helmeted boy sealed somewhere within the tank— Jihl, the hybrid once used to power the Soul Cannon— and to her own surprise, the Soul Cannon begins charging up with massive amounts of energy. Jeanne, believing the Taranis to be charging up the weapon with its own "life force", transfers the energy maintaining the Taranis to the Soul Cannon, and with the children's resolve spurring it on, the Soul Cannon pierces through both the Cor Tarascus and the Vanargand's body, obliterating Hax and his delusions of godhood. The Vanargand collapses and crumbles into pieces that fall into the Plasma Cloud Sea below, with the main part of its carcass resting on the area which once held Paresia, now an island along with the rest of Gasco.
    • Some hours later, the Gasco Army use a commandeered Berman airship to reach the ruins of Paresia, and see the Taranis positioned at the hole in the Vanargand's corpse, with the children having exited it. As General Merlot and Lieutenant Muscat retrieve the children to take them home, the Taranis runs out of the energy needed to maintain itself and Jeanne. Jeanne, brimming with pride towards the children and their strength, affectionately gives one last smile to them, content with leaving the future of the world in their hands as she peacefully shuts down for good. (Main game and Jeanne Archives #14: "Deep Slumber")
    • With the death of their leading general, the Berman Imperial Army withdraws from Gasco. Meanwhile, the children of the Taranis all return to their homes and families, hoping the peace they all achieved would last forever…

Between the first and second Fuga titles
Just after the Gasco Invasion (about one year before the revival of the Belenos)
  • Due to changing air currents following the Vanargand's attack, the islands of the new Gasco archipelago radically shift to new geographical positions. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 website and Location entry #1, "Gasco, the Shattered Continent")
  • With Paresia's abandonment following the Vanargand's attack, the representatives of Gasco debate on which city should become the new de facto capital. The industrial city of Pharaoh is chosen due to it being the second-largest city in Gasco after Paresia, along with how it was spared most of the destruction of the war due to its location in the mountains. Paresian president Muscat retains his role as the country's de facto leader to prevent a power vacuum from forming, and works to negotiate a ceasefire with the Berman Empire. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Gasco Report #3: "The History of Gasco - 3")
  • An armistice between the Free Lands of Gasco and the Berman Empire is signed, ending conflict between them for the foreseeable future. Gasco is given access to Berman airship technology to allow travel between the islands of the shattered continent, and post-war reconstruction properly begins. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game)
  • President Shayne Muscat, along with his wife Jelly and youngest daughter Vanilla, begins observing the post-war reconstruction of Gasco. Cayenne Reisling, desiring revenge for the Berman Empire's crimes against his family, suggests to Shayne that the Gasco Army regroup their forces and utilize the Taranis to strike back at them before another supposed invasion occurs. Shayne refuses, citing that Gasco is weakened and needs to focus on its post-war reconstruction first. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Gasco Reports #9 and #10: "Cayenne's Journal - 1" and "Cayenne's Journal - 2")
  • The Berman Imperial Army pays compensation money to Gasco for the damages incurred during the war. Jin Macchiato's factory in Shetland is given a hefty sum compared to most other places, with priority support from Berman engineers in the setting up of airship equipment. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, "Berman Connections" link event)
  • Jin inherits control of his father's factory operations in Shetland. Some time later, the body of Flam Kish is recovered. She is alive, but comatose. Jin takes it upon himself to nurse her back to health. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game)
  • After returning to Mudi, Wappa tells stories of her adventures with the village kids, with Boron in particular being a favorite among them. Some time later, she leaves the village again and begins traveling on a journey of self-discovery. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game and "The Scoop on Boron" link event)
  • Major Generals Von Baum and Von Stollen, left abandoned in Gasco, go into hiding and await rescue from Berman allies. One day, they come across the ancient Crusade Temple and make it their home for some time. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game)

Six months before the revival of the Belenos

  • One night, the Muscat family (excluding Lieutenant Cannelle Muscat) and friend of the family Cayenne Riesling are out driving. Cayenne's plans for vengeance against the Berman Empire and Gasco are put into action— through the use of spells, the Muscat family is put to sleep, and all the other cars traveling with them are destroyed in what appears to be a freak accident. Shayne Muscat and his wife Jelly are killed in the explosion, but Cayenne survives, steals Shayne's clothing, and hypnotizes fellow survivor Vanilla into believing that her father saved her, proceeding to impersonate Shayne from then on. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game and Gasco Report #10: "Cayenne's Journal - 2")
    • Cayenne uses magic to disguise his appearance as Shayne's, along with using some bandages to imply burns across his face. Everyone assumes that Jelly Muscat and Cayenne perished, while President Shayne Muscat was able to rescue his daughter Vanilla and survive with some scarring. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game and Gasco Report #12: "Cayenne's Journal - 4")

Some time before the revival of the Belenos

  • Cayenne, under the identity of the late Shayne Muscat, prepares to call for examinations in how to use the Taranis to strike back at the Berman Empire, but is first contacted by a mysterious man through a secret frequency meant only for the president. This man informs Cayenne of Jihl, the boy sleeping within the Taranis, and the Belenos, a weapon meant for him which could be utilized to resurrect the Vanargand. Cayenne thus scraps all his plans for the Taranis and turns his attention to waking up Jihl, restoring the Belenos and resurrecting the Vanargand to use against the Berman Empire. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game, Gasco Report #11: "Cayenne's Journal - 3")
  • Not simply content with destroying the Berman Empire, Cayenne also desires to subject Gasco to a "wake-up call" using the Vanargand as a means to spite Shayne and Merlot for refusing him his revenge. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game and Gasco Report #12: "Cayenne's Journal - 4")

Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game (Revival of the Belenos
  • The events of the Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 video game occur, leading into the revival of the Belenos:
    • One year after the end of the Gasco Invasion, the surviving Taranis and the wreckage of the Tarascus are recovered from the island of Old Paresia by the Gasco Army and taken to giant depots in Pharaoh for further study. Through each tank's self-repair systems, the Taranis restores itself to full capacity, while the wreckage of the Tarascus reforms into its original shape, albeit still being weaker than it was originally due to its defeat a year prior. The Gasco Army are unable to access either tank, so they invite the twelve children that fought on the Taranis to Pharaoh for their assistance.
    • Jihl, the hybrid boy hidden within the Taranis, is awakened by Cayenne through unknown means. Jihl presumes that the Female Engineer locked him in the tank so that he could continue being used as fuel for the Soul Cannon, and desires to lash out at the world for the treatment he was subjected to. In time, Cayenne begins to contact Jihl anonymously and give him directions on where to go, with Jihl first intending to ride the Taranis to the ruined Crusade Temple to retake the Belenos there. (Main game and Gasco Report #12: "Cayenne's Journal - 4")
    • Malt, Hanna, Kyle, Boron, Socks, Mei, Sheena and Britz arrive at the Presidential Residence Plaza, with Chick and Hack running late. Wappa cannot be found due to her traveling, and Jin misses the invitation due to his work at the factory taking priority. The children are guided by Lieutenant Muscat to the depot where the Taranis is being studied, and Malt makes contact with the giant tank, suddenly unlocking it. "President Muscat" and Vanilla Muscat arrive to greet the children, with the latter choosing to stay behind while the former returns to his office. Hanna, Boron, Socks, Mei and Britz enter the Taranis to prepare for the survey of its interior, while Malt, Kyle and Sheena stay on the ground floor to field Lieutenant Muscat's questions. Just as Chick and Hack finally arrive, Jihl locks the doors of the Taranis, reactivates the tank, induces the five children trapped inside into a hypnotized state, and promptly blasts his way through the depot and then through the streets of Pharaoh. The government statehouse where the president presumably returned to is set aflame during this onslaught, prompting Lieutenant Muscat to send out a search party to check if he survived, while at the same time ordering Malt and the remaining children to find safety. "President Muscat"— Cayenne— survives the attack and goes into hiding. With no other options left, Vanilla directs Malt, Kyle, Chick, Hack and Sheena to the depot where the Tarascus is being held. The five board their former nemesis, with a vengeful Vanilla stowing away.
    • As the children begin chasing after the rogue Taranis, they discover that an AI version of the late Shvein Hax has become the Tarascus' control operator after his original self was assimilated into the tank's core upon his death a year prior, with this "AI Hax" retaining the previous Hax's memories and knowledge but lacking his evil ambitions. Meanwhile, Jihl notices that someone or something is following him, and presumably comes across the wreckage of some old Berman tanks. Through his powers, Jihl reanimates these tanks by infusing their metal remains with some bio-organic material, creating the unmanned and zombie-like "Berman Geists", which he begins to use as diversions to slow down the Tarascus' advance and terrorize the rest of Gasco.note
    • The Tarascus finally catches up to the rogue Taranis on the outskirts of Pharaoh. Jihl activates the Taranis' teleportation functions, with the brainwashed Hanna being used to operate the tank's normal weaponry while Mei is forced into the Soul Cannon Chamber to be used as a "shell" to fuel it with Bio-Energy.
      • At first, Malt and the others refuse to fight against the Taranis due to their concern for their friends inside, but the crew runs out of time as the Soul Cannon finishes charging. AI Hax forces the children to use the Managarm on the side of the Tarascus as self-defense, but the Soul Cannon overpowers the Managarm and pierces through the Tarascus, finally annihilating the already weakened tank and killing everyone inside.
      • Malt reappears in the Deep Depths outside of reality, where he is found by a masked man known as Maestro, who cryptically informs the boy that he has abilities to alter fate akin to Jeanne. With Maestro's guidance, Malt travels back in time to just before the confrontation with the Taranis, albeit with only a vague memory of the original timeline.
      • Now aware of the outcome of their failure to fight the Taranis, Malt encourages the others to be more resolute, and the children promptly fight the Taranis despite their friends being inside. They succeed in confronting and staggering the Taranis, causing the tank to begin self-repairing. With the Tarascus being in such close proximity to the Taranis' self-repair field, the former receives some of the functionality of the latter, allowing AI Hax to successfully teleport Mei over to the Tarascus, promptly de-powering the Soul Cannon. As the act of transferring Mei over required massive amounts of energy, the Tarascus is immobilized and left to replenish itself, as Jihl and the Taranis escape with the rest of the captured children.
    • Jihl uses the Taranis to attack the nearby port town of Port-Liyo, and steals the largest cargo airship in the area. When Malt and the others arrive, they meet a burly man working to repair the ships in the port, who agrees to give them a large airship to use to transport the Tarascus. The same burly man later informs Malt via transmission that the Taranis was sighted in the Lhassa Apso area, and also begins setting up a business venture where airships can be used to service travelers such as the children and their tank.
    • As the children resume their chase through Lhassa Apso, Mei regains consciousness and Vanilla reveals herself, with both joining the crew of the Tarascus. In time, the Tarascus catches up with the Taranis once again, and Jihl prepares to use Boron as energy for the Soul Cannon while using Socks to operate the tank's weaponry. Halfway through the fight, Jihl switches the two captives' positions in an attempt to gain an advantage, but the crew of the Tarascus still succeed in staggering the Taranis. As the Soul Cannon prepares to fire, the Tarascus slams into the Taranis and its self-repair field, allowing AI Hax to safely teleport Boron and Socks to the Tarascus. With the Tarascus once again drained of energy, the Taranis escapes as Jihl issues a threat to the children over loudspeaker.
    • Afterwards, Berman generals Von Baum and Von Stollen, having watched the fight between the two tanks from a hiding spot but unaware of the larger circumstances, assume that the Tarascus is being piloted by Berman allies who came to rescue them. The two try to get the Tarascus' attention, only for the children to tie them up and confine them to a supply closet. As the Tarascus follows the Taranis' trail to the ruins in the Border, Boron and Socks regain consciousness and rejoin the crew, while Malt interrogates Baum and Stollen, who inform him of the ruined factory where they stayed for some time. Malt forces the two old generals to direct the children to this facility, believing it to be where the Taranis is headed next.
    • While the Tarascus crew find and travel through the ancient Crusade Temple, Jihl and the Taranis reach the Belenos hidden deep within it. As one final distraction for the Tarascus, Jihl prepares to use Britz as a power source for the Soul Cannon, but Hanna— who has resisted some of Jihl's control— attempts to appeal to the boy's humanity after he briefly brings up the cruelty Crusade subjected him to. This unfortunately pushes Jihl to put her in the Soul Cannon Chamber instead, with Britz operating the tank's machine guns. The Tarascus and the Taranis have their final confrontation, ending with the latter launching a final counterattack as Jihl escapes to commandeer the Belenos, with the Taranis completely shutting down as a result. While AI Hax is able to teleport Britz over, his attempt to rescue Hanna is interrupted when the Belenos fires an energy blast through the Tarascus, causing Hanna's particles to disperse mid-teleportation. The children and two elderly generals evacuate the exploding Tarascus and desperately search the Taranis for any sign of Hanna, but to no avail. Jihl appears with the revived Belenos to finish off the Taranis and the rest of the children, but Malt and the others' fury towards him results in the Taranis absorbing the remains of the Tarascus, causing it to transform into the Exo-Taranis— an upgraded Taranis fueled by the Tarascus' core and retaining AI Hax and the Managarm. Despite this, the new tank is still drained of energy reserves, allowing Jihl and the Belenos to escape to the next island of Samoyede.
    • Despite his victory in attaining the Belenos, Jihl is distressed from the impact of Hanna's words. The disguised Cayenne contacts Jihl again for a status update, and Jihl informs him that the Belenos' auxiliary generators are missing. Cayenne begins sending to Jihl the coordinates of these generators, the first of which is hidden somewhere in Shetland.

Between the Fuga and Solatorobo eras

    The post-Fuga era
A significant amount of time after the Fuga era
  • The Free Lands of Gasco are renamed to "Shepherd" in honor of Malt Marzipan, the young moosheep herder who led his friends to victory and saved the nation from destruction. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game)
  • Presumably, a royal family takes power over the nation of Shepherd through unknown means, and the "Kingdom of Shepherd" is established. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game, "History" entries #1 and #2: "Hundred Lilies War" and "The Shepherd Revolution")

Centuries before the revivals of the Iron Giant or Tartaros

  • Some explorers discover an archipelago of islands that they can tell were once home to an ancient civilization. They christen this archipelago "Prairie", which translates to "the revived earth" in their language. The technology of this ancient civilization still functions, and the settlers of Prairie begin putting them to use, soon forming a functional society and kingdom. (Original Tail Concerto manual)

  • The area that used to be England becomes known by the name of "North-Central", a chaotic region full of ferocious Felineko breeds. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book, Discord statement by Yoann Gueritot)

  • A group of spell-casting Felineko establish the Paladin Clan, a tribe dedicated to protecting the world and sealing away threats like Lares and Lemures. If either of the Titano-Machina is to reawaken, the Paladins will perform the Rite of Forfeit, a ceremony where an individual's life will be sacrificed to put the Titano-Machina back to rest. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game)

    The Hundred Lilies War era
611 years before the revival of Tartaros
  • The Lion Tribe conquers and unifies a once-chaotic region into the "Empire of Abyssinia"*. This empire then begins drawing in more Felineko populations to increase its size, and overpowers many Caninu populations through its military might. The era known as the "Hundred Lilies War" begins, and the Kingdom of Shepherd is now also at risk of succumbing to Abyssinia. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game, "History" entry #1: "Hundred Lilies War")
    • The chaotic region of "North-Central" is conquered by Sorja, a warrior of the Lion Tribe. Sorja establishes the Empire of Abyssinia, with the leader of his tribe being crowned Emperor. Despite Sorja's unification of the region, "North-Central" only continues to experience unending strife due to the heavy concentration of ancient and battle-hungry Felineko tribes (e.g. Lions, Tigers, Leopards, Cheetahs). (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • An irritated Sorja chooses to send these belligerent tribes on "expeditions" to distract them from causing strife within North-Central. The newly-formed Abyssinian army travels outwards to invade more regions for the sake of conquest, destruction and other atrocities. Many Felineko populations surrender to the Abyssinian army without a fight, but Caninu populations attempt to fight back, only to be overwhelmed by Abyssinia's sheer military might. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • The Kingdom of Shepherd is another region, among many others, that experiences heavy attacks and destructive terror from the Abyssinian army. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • The Wolf Tribe begins to "emerge". (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)

537 years before the revival of Tartarosnote

  • The Wolf Tribe assists the Kingdom of Shepherd in their time of need. In the Battle of Mulberry*, the Kingdom of Shepherd uses Robots for the first time in warfare, and the tide of the war is turned against Abyssinia. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game, "History" entry #1: "Hundred Lilies War")
    • The supernaturally powerful Wolf Tribe, with help from the Kingdom of Shepherd, confronts the Abyssinian army head-on and succeeds in driving them away from Shepherd, at least temporarily. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • The Wolf Tribe mysteriously vanishes, but not before giving the Caninu people of Shepherd the methods needed to manufacture Robots, Crystal-powered machines with incredible capabilities. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • The Battle of Mulberry occurs. In a vast grassy plain, Shepherd lines up Robots side-by-side, with the infantry of Shepherd waiting behind them. The Abyssinian army, assuming the Robots to merely be an attempt at intimidation, moves to attack the infantry, only to be hit with a decisive strike from the Robots. The Abyssinian general is killed immediately, the Abyssinian forces are thrown into disarray, and the Shepherd forces proceed to pursue and massacre the fleeing Abyssinian soldiers one after another. In just one battle, Abyssinia loses half of its troops in Shepherd. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • News of Shepherd's victory in the Battle of Mulberry reaches other nations occupied by Abyssinia, and Shepherd begins exporting Robots to them, profiting greatly. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)

511 years before the revival of Tartaros

  • Following the twelve military operations undertaken by the Empire of Abyssinia, the Kingdom of Shepherd survives and the Empire of Abyssinia ceases to exist, thus ending the period of the Hundred Lilies War. Some of the former Abyssinian territories are put under Shepherd control. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game, "History" entries #1 and #2: "Hundred Lilies War" and "The Shepherd Revolution")
    • Ancient Felineko tribes such as the Lion and Tiger Tribes meet their apparent extinction. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • Having been cut off from the nations it had conquered in the past due to their successful Robot-backed revolts, the Empire of Abyssinia unconditionally surrenders, ending the period of constant war. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • The Empire of Abyssinia is completely dissolved, with its former territory and population being absorbed into other nations. More than half of Abyssinia's former territory in particular is claimed by the Kingdom of Shepherd, the nation which supplied Robots and profited greatly from their distribution. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)

    The post-Hundred Lilies War era
350 years before the revival of Tartaros
  • Two Caninu brothers mining in northern Shepherd unearth Baion's cold-sleep chamber and accidentally activate it, reawakening the slumbering hybrid. Unfortunately, however, the mainframe and memory for Baion's cold-sleep chamber seems to be damaged, as a result of it not being the proper time for CODA. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game)
    • Claims surface of an island suddenly appearing in the Kingdom of Shepherd's northern airspace, a region infamous for having magnetic fields that lead ships to crash. Due to a lack of willingness to investigate the region, no decision is made on whether a team should be sent to investigate. (Solatorobo Fanbook 04: VERMILLION, "Ragdoll Elegy" novel)
    • The island materializes in northern Shepherd, appearing as a clump of rock with no vegetation or life. Miners from Shetland are hired to excavate the island. (Solatorobo Fanbook 04: VERMILLION, "Ragdoll Elegy" novel)

318 years before the revival of Tartaros

  • Béluga Damiens is born.

314 years before the revival of Tartaros

  • Elh Melizée is born.

300 years before the revival of Tartaros

  • Baion, now having spent several decades exploring this new world, comes to the conclusion that it has become just as corrupt as the world of the old humans, citing the destructive fragmentation of the continent centuries prior as an example. Despite how he cannot recall his "Order" from Juno or even his own name, Baion determines that he must "guide" the people of the new world "along the right path" should they fail to change on their own. (Fuga: Melodies of Steel video game)note
  • Béluga inherits the Lares Medal and performs the Rite of Forfeit, sacrificing his older sister to seal away Lares. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game)
  • Baion reasons that activating CODA and using it to exterminate the Caninu and Felineko is the best way to remove the threat they pose to the planet. As such, he has Ragdoll— the hidden village of the Paladin Clan— burned to the ground so that the Paladins do not interfere with his plans. The only two surviving Paladins are Béluga Damiens and Elh Melizée. As Elh is away from Ragdoll at this time, she presumes that she is the only surviving Paladin. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game)
  • With the other Paladins having been exterminated, the Lares Medal bestows Béluga with eternal youth, physically stunting him at the age of eighteen. Elh, having inherited the Lemures Medal, is similarly bestowed eternal youth and physically stunted at the age of fourteen. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game)

    The Incantation Wars era
148 years before the revival of Tartarosnote
  • Felineko living in former Abyssinia territories, having been mistreated for centuries, revolt against the Kingdom of Shepherd, beginning the War of Independence. Meanwhile, other resistance groups within the Kingdom of Shepherd take the opportunity to act. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game, "History" entry #2: "The Shepherd Revolution")
    • After over three hundred years of oppression from their Shepherd overlords, the resentment from Felineko living in former Abyssinian territories reaches a fever pitch, leading them to revolt. One of the most powerful resistance groups in these territories is the "Fierce Claws", led by revolutionary Georges Wagner. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • At the time of the War of Independence, the royalty and nobility of Shepherd lose the support of the people: the king of Shepherd is known to issue laws and ordinances upon the population on a whim according to the gifts given by his vassals; the queen of Shepherd leaves the treasury open for her vassals while gambling and spending in abundance; and the aristocrats either exploit the royal family or turn a blind eye to them. As a result, the royal family becomes a symbol of hatred for the Shepherd populace. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • Georges Wagner gathers weapons and allies to create a militia for the Abyssinian resistance, and clandestinely informs the royal family of Shepherd that they are preparing an attack upon them. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • The king, in a panic, orders the Shepherd military to seize all weapons within former Abyssinia. With Wagner's leadership, the Abyssinian forces fight off the king's soldiers, and the Felineko of former Abyssinian territories are roused up by this news. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • Shepherd forms a military alliance with neighboring nations in another attempt to suppress the Abyssinian resistance forces, though this fails. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • Georges Wagner is made the standing commander-in-chief of the former Abyssinia territories. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)

144 years before the revival of Tartarosnote

  • The former Abyssinia territories succeed in rebelling against the Kingdom of Shepherd, ending the War of Independence. As a result, Shepherd's royal lineage and nobility start to lose political power, and resistance groups within the kingdom gain stronger support. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game, "History" entry #2: "The Shepherd Revolution")
    • Thanks to the efforts and contributions of Georges Wagner, the former Abyssinian territories succeed in becoming independent from the Kingdom of Shepherd, and promptly retake the name of "Abyssinia" for their new nation, officially establishing the Abyssinia Federation. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • With the royal family's weaknesses highlighted by the War of Independence, resistance against the current Shepherd government continues to increase. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)

130 years before the revival of Tartaros

  • The Shepherd Revolution starts as the population begins to properly rebel against the ruling class, and they successfully overthrow the royal line. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game, "History" entry #2: "The Shepherd Revolution")
    • Fed up with the domination of the royal family, the common people of Shepherd successfully storm Fort Steva and acquire the weapons held within the fortress, beginning the Shepherd Revolution. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • The civilian Shepherd forces, using the weapons from Fort Steva, storm the royal castle. The king orders his troops from all over Pharaoh to counter this attack, but the civilians overwhelm the army through sheer numbers. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • The civilian forces succeed in storming the castle and capturing the king, and proclaim the kingdom suspended. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)

127 years before the revival of Tartaros (0 YR)note

  • The Shepherd Revolution ends, and the Kingdom of Shepherd is succeeded by the Shepherd Republic. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game, "History" entry #2: "The Shepherd Revolution")
    • The Kingdom of Shepherd is abolished, the Shepherd dynasty comes to an end, and the ruling class is replaced by a government of nobles and commoners whose ideals are in line with the common people's. The Shepherd Republic is officially established. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • A new solar calendar is established to mark the foundation of the new republic. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game, "Culture" entry #1: "Calendar, Politics")
    • The Shepherd Declaration of Human Rights, a document seventeen articles long, is created to be a basis for the Shepherd Republic's new constitution. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • Despite the end of the kingdom and the start of the new republic, Shepherd begins to enter a period of disarray, with frequent changes in leadership and the deterioration of national security. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)

124 years before the revival of Tartaros (3 YR)

  • The First Incantation War begins between Abyssinia and the Shepherd Republic, with the former relying on magical warfare and the latter relying on Robot machinery. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game, "History" entry #3: "The 1st and 2nd Incantation Wars")
    • As a result of the Shepherd Revolution, the new Shepherd Republic is sent into a state of instability. The Abyssinia Federation takes notice of this, and chooses to exploit the chaos through beginning a new invasion of Shepherd, under the slogan of, "Now is the time to show the blood of the great lion!" (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • In a hurried attempt to stop the conflict, Shepherd leader Darien Ballas offers to give some of Shepherd's territory over to Abyssinia. For attempting to sell out his own country, Ballas is disgraced and ousted from power. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)

121 years before the revival of Tartaros (6 YR)

  • A lone hero prevents Shepherd from narrowly losing the conflict, along with proclaiming himself "Emperor" of the nation, bringing the republic to the brink of collapse. The First Incantation War ends. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game, "History" entry #3: "The 1st and 2nd Incantation Wars")
    • Nombril Proitz, the commander of Shepherd's northern garrison, leads a small platoon to force the Abyssinia army into a temporary retreat. As a result of this successful pushback, and a large number of volunteer soldiers join Proitz's side. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • Proitz's offensive eventually leads to the land of Abyssinia itself being threatened. Horrified by this, Abyssinia's population holds their government responsible for the war. Soon, Abyssinia undergoes a change in government with a new prime minister at the forefront. The First Incantation War ends. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • To make up for causing the war, Abyssinia gives the Shepherd Republic a large sum of reparations, along with giving them ownership of Milfee Island in the southern Abyssinia territory. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • Nombril Proitz is celebrated as a national hero of Shepherd, and through the backing of the Shepherd people, is declared the new head of state for the country. The newly-christened "Nombril I" soon establishes a new government in his name and soon manages it with his ambitions in mind, while still ending the lengthy period of strife and revolution within Shepherd. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)

    • Having been oppressed by their Shepherd rulership since the First Incantation War ended, the Felineko of Milfee Island begin to rise up following the brutal murder of a young boy. Caninu homes and businesses are trashed, and a Shepherd military base is thoroughly destroyed. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • Shepherd merely views these events as being a rebellion held by war criminals. Shepherd's head of state, Nombril IV, deploys a state-of-the-art force of Robots to crush the opposition in Milfee, personally taking the role of commander. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • Abyssinia's army once again crosses Shepherd's borders in response to this new disarray, beginning the Second Incantation War between the two nations. Initially, Shepherd appears to be winning the war through its superior firepower. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)

50 years before the revival of Tartaros (77 YR)

  • A pilot named Galvan, aware that he will soon die in war, writes a final log detailing that he wishes for his wife to name their unborn child either "Litchi" or "Termidore" depending on if they are a girl or a boy. Following his death, this message is tragically never found, and the child is named Calvan in honor of his father. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game)

43 years before the revival of the Iron Giant

  • King Hound III of the Prairie Kingdom is born.

42 years before the revival of Tartaros (85 YR)

  • The proclaimed "Emperor" of Shepherd is killed in battle, and neither Shepherd nor Abyssinia have the resources needed to continue the conflict. The Second Incantation War ends in a cease-fire agreement between the two nations, and both Shepherd and Abyssinia appear to be at peace. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game, "History" entry #3: "The 1st and 2nd Incantation Wars")
    • The Second Incantation War has since resulted in a massive loss of life on both sides. Military leader Nombril IV is killed in battle, turning the tide against Shepherd in favor of Abyssinia. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • Despite the loss of Shepherd's military leadership, Abyssinia also suffers during the war, as their spell-casting troops continue to be lost in droves. In desperation, Abyssinia begins sending civilian combatants to the front lines. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • Pyrénées Hugo, an eleven-year-old officer with an excellent track record in fighting local battles, is chosen as Shepherd's new commander-in-chief. With Hugo's leadership, the Shepherd army narrowly achieves victory over Abyssinia. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
    • With all their resources depleted and with an incalculable amount of loss, the Shepherd Republic and Abyssinia Federation officially declare a ceasefire. Abyssinia gives to Shepherd the island of Castane. (Solatorobo LTBA vol. 2 art book)
  • The Shepherd Republic is reformed into a system of autonomous political entities, with each island being headed by the noble with the strongest support of the locals. Likewise, the standing military of the Shepherd Republic is downsized and politics and self-defense have been focused more towards domestic matters. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game, "Culture" entry #1: "Calendar, Politics")

Nine years before the revival of Tartaros (118 YR)

  • Merveille Million and Baion create a large number of hybrids for the purpose of controlling Lares and Lemures at their maximum power for the sake of summoning Tartaros. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game)
  • After many tests, experiments and disposed failures, Merveille and Baion end up with three viable remaining candidates: two boys and a girl that were created from a basis of Caninu biology (with Merveille having donated some of her cells in their creation), and having a biological age of around seven or eight. While all three are designed to operate the Titano-Machina and have a base programming of wishing to cause wanton destruction, Merveille has made one of these three hybrids more experimental; while the other boy and girl are pre-designed to carry out their task "perfectly", this boy has a built-in flaw allowing him to grow and evolve past his current parameters. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game)
  • Merveille and Baion perform a final test to see if any of the three remaining hybrids can awaken a Titano-Machina. The two successes designed to be "perfect" succeed in weakening Lemures' seal. These two successes are named "Nero" and "Blanck", but the third hybrid fails and is thus designed as "Red". (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game)
  • In response to the weakening of Lemures' seal, Elh, the keeper of the Lemures Medal, sacrifices someone to the Rite of Forfeit to put the Titano-Machina back to rest. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game)
  • Despite Merveille's protests that Red be given a little more time, Baion deems that he must promptly be disposed of like the other failures. Merveille, concerned for the boy's life, orders Red to escape the facility, entrusting him with a personal robot known as the Dahak. Red's memory of his time in the facility is wiped before his escape is complete. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game)
  • Red, with no memory of his past, arrives with the Dahak at the orphanage Chocolat Gelato lives at, and is taken in by the orphanage director. Chocolat, despite being much younger than Red, plays the role of "big sister" to him, showing him around and taking him everywhere. The two eventually become close surrogate siblings. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game)
  • Merveille becomes more aware of Baion's greater ambitions to destroy life, and soon leaves the man, wishing to atone. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game)
  • Presumably, Red gains the last name "Savarin" through unknown means. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game)

Eight years before the revival of the Iron Giant

  • Alicia Pris' father contracts a fatal disease specific to Felineko. The Caninu doctors of Prairie are unable to cure him, and he passes away. Alicia is heartbroken by this turn of events, and blames the Caninu for her father's death, gaining a grudge against them. (Tail Concerto video game, NPC dialogue)
  • A crying Alicia is come across by her neighbor, the Caninu boy Waffle Ryebread. To comfort her, Waffle gives her the blue crystal that belonged to his mother, unaware of its significance as one of the five crystals that would reawaken the Iron Giant. (Tail Concerto video game)
  • With the death of her father, Alicia is presumably sent off to an orphanage. (Tail Concerto video game)

Three years before the revival of the Iron Giant

  • Flare's parents are killed in an accident. After being sent to an orphanage, she meets Alicia and Stair and grows a close sisterly bond with them. (Tail Concerto video game)

Some time before the revival of the Iron Giant

  • Alicia is told of a legend (likely by a man named Fool, an infamous weapons dealer) that Prairia was once home to Felineko, before some Caninu invaders took over and usurped them. Alicia, Stair and Flare found the Black Cats Gang, a crime syndicate dedicated to recruiting "stray" Felineko with the end goal being to create a new country for them. Per Fool's advice, the Black Cats Gang begins hunting for the crystals that were once part of the Iron Giant, with Fool supplying the gang with tools and weapons. (Tail Concerto video game)

Some time before the revival of Tartaros

  • Red Savarin and Chocolat Gelato leave the orphanage and begin living on a ship known as the Asmodeus. Red becomes a freelance Hunter. (Solatorobo: Red the Hunter video game)

Tail Concerto video game (Revival of the Iron Giant
  • The events of the original Tail Concerto video game— the events leading into the revival of the Iron Giant— occur.note
    • The head of the Iron Giant is excavated from Ferzen, a mining island in Prairie.
    • The Black Cats Gang, led by sisters Alicia, Stair and Flare Pris, begins their scheme to collect the crystals by attacking Resaca, a port town in Prairie with an ancient castle floating above it, in where the Red Crystal is held. Waffle Ryebread, a police officer stationed in the village of Porto, prepares to take a well-deserved day off, but is alerted to the Black Cats' mayhem by the Police Chief and asked to get back to work.
    • Waffle arrives in Resaca and incapacitates all the kittens running amok the town (via sending them back to headquarters using his Police Robo's transporter), before taking an elevator up to the castle just as the Pris sisters find the Red Crystal. Waffle interrupts their conversation, but is taken aback as he recognizes Alicia as his old neighbor back when they were children. Alicia unconvincingly denies that she knows who Waffle is, and the three sisters use their Cat Balloon to engage in battle with Waffle and his Police Robo. Waffle wins the fight and the three sisters are forced to retreat, but not before dropping the Red Crystal. Waffle collects the crystal for safekeeping, and the Police Chief assigns him to handle the rest of the Black Cats Gang case.
    • Waffle's quest to foil the Black Cats Gang begins, with the player being the one to decide the order in which he travels to the below locations:
      • The Archeonis, a luxury passenger plane and the biggest aircraft in Prairie, is hijacked by the Black Cats Gang with the aim to return it to the abandoned factory they currently use to build their weapons. Waffle is informed of the situation by the Police Chief and proceeds to intercept the plane, which has suffered an explosion in the engine room due to it flying too fast. Waffle enters the inside of the plane, the kittens are taken care of, and the engine is repaired by the ship's engineer, saving the plane.
      • Waffle learns from asking around that the Black Cats' next big scheme may be at the mining town of Ferzen. As Princess Therria and her caretaker Chamberlain fly over to the island to see the newly-excavated head of the Iron Giant, the Black Cats Gang intercept their ship with their Moving Fortress and hold Therria as a hostage within one of Ferzen's mines. After Waffle arrives and learns of the Princess' kidnapping, he finds and confronts Alicia, who orders him to hand over the Red Crystal from Resaca and the Green Crystal from the rest of the Ferzen mines in exchange for Therria. Waffle complies and collects the Green Crystal from the kittens rampaging through the mines, and Alicia sets Therria free upon receiving it. Alicia then proceeds to use the Black Cat Mecha-II drilling machine to cause destruction through the mines as a last goodbye to the Caninu there, but Waffle succeeds in defeating the three sisters once again, as they repeat their mistake of dropping the Crystals for Waffle to recover. Princess Therria, grateful towards Waffle for his heroism, brings the young officer to Prairia Castle to have an audience with her father, the King. Afterwards, the palace guard Cyan Garland declares a rivalry with Waffle for the Princess' heart and proclaims that he'll catch the Black Cats Gang first, of which Waffle is apathetic towards.
      • Having heard about the archipelago of islands that make up Airleaf, Waffle chooses to travel there under the assumption that the Black Cats Gang have their hideout there, given how typical airships have difficulty with traveling directly through the islands. Instead, he runs into a man named Dr. Jones/Diamundo, who fits his Police Robo with a jetpack designed to fly around Airleaf for the purpose of rescuing those who get lost throughout the islands. Waffle reluctantly partakes in the experiment, and finds his archeologist grandfather Russell, whose ship had crashed into Airleaf due to his driving while drunk (or tired). Russell offers Waffle to join him in doing some research, and Waffle follows Russell to the island holding the Egg Stone, a widely-believed piece of the Iron Giant situated on its own tiny island. Russell reminds Waffle of the legend of the massive beast that shook the land, and leaves him once again to continue his research.
    • Following Waffle's travels to Ferzen and Airleaf, Chamberlain informs the police officer via radio call that Prairia intelligence has found the next location of the three sisters to be Grimto, a forest-covered tourist spot where the Iron Giant's sword rests. Waffle arrives at the island to meet with Chamberlain and Princess Therria, while Alicia spies on the three from a distance. After Waffle enters the forest and handles the Black Cats' kittens and "Gub Gub" machines, collecting the Purple Crystal of the Iron Giant in the process, he returns to see that Therria was wandered off, and that Cyan has arrived to rescue her and defeat the Pris sisters himself. After Cyan falls in quicksand, Waffle goes on ahead to the other side of the island to find Therria, who had followed the Pris sisters there. After Alicia chews out Therria for "stalking Waffle", the Pris sisters do battle with the police officer in their six-legged Cat Tank, and suffer yet another defeat. During their escape, however, Flare slips off from their hot air balloon's ladder, allowing Cyan to capture and arrest her as Alicia and Stair escape to fight another day.
