Pre-series
- 1962: Doctor Hoshikawa and his wife, Midori, depart Earth to begin a terraforming project on the planet Sidon. (Ep. 1)

- The twins Remi and Fumiya Hoshikawa (FiveYellow and FiveBlack respectively) Are born.
- The Silver Imperial Army Zone attacks planet Sidon, killing it's last two inhabitants and seperating the Hoshikawa siblings from their parents. The children are forced to return to earth on a spaceship, and are raised by the family's robot, Arthur G6. (Ep. 1)
- 1985: Scientist Koji Yuki begins work on a stone with the power to restore plants and greenery after a disaster. (Ep. 22)

- 20 years later, the Hoshikawa siblings have became teachers. The Silver Imperial Army Zone begins it's attack on earth and destroys the Newtown Elementary School, where the Hoshikawa siblings teach. The siblings become Fivemen and defeat Gamerugin. (Ep. 1 & 2)

- During his cleaning of Vulgyre, Garoa discovers a curtained-off area of the ship where he discovers bizarre liquids and a sound similar to breathing; when he tries to show this to the other Zone officials, Galactic Empress Meadow becomes furious and tells them to never do this again. The Fivemen defeat Hiruagehagin. (Ep. 42)
- The Fivemen defeat PteranoTelevigin. (Ep. 43)
- Using the strange liquids he found in Vulgyre, Garoa creates the mecha Big Garoan and manages to destroy the Super Five Robo. He regains Meadow's trust and reclaims his position as the Vulgyre's captain alongside Chevalier. Newtown Elementary School reopens for the first time since Zone's destruction of the school. (Ep. 44)
- Chevalier uses the same energy as Garoa to create the Galactic Warrior Iwakasekigin, whose fossilization power is enough to overpower and ultimately capture all of Fiveman! Despite the assistance of the returning Gunther, they are ultimately saved when Gaku is released from his fossilization by stomach acid within Vulgyre itself, further confirming that the ship is actually a living creature. Using the Five Tector, Five Red destroys Iwakasekigin and saves his siblings. (Ep. 45)
- Meadow appears to confirm Vulgyre's living status and prepares to use it to destroy Earth by itself until it is stopped by the Sidon Flowers at Newtown Elementary. the resulting crash reveals that "Meadow" never existed and Zone had been taking commands from Vulgyre all along. Vulgyre fuses together Galactic Scientist Doldora and Galactic Fang Zaza with its energy into Baradorugin to destroy the Sidon Flowers, it eliminates all but one before the younger Hoshikawa siblings destroy it. Gaku faces Galactic Swordsman Billion in a final showdown, during which Gunther is killed trying to protect Five Red. In his dying words, the Galactic Wolf confirms that he originally stole Star Five from the Hoshikawa parents, who currently reside on Planet P16. Angered and encouraged by this sacrifice, Gaku kills Billion. (Ep. 46)
- The Hosikawa siblings use Magma Base's communicator to reach Planet P16 and finally hear from their parents for the first time in over 20 years, but are interrupted due to jamming frequencies from Vulgyre. Vulgyre undergoes a two-hour metamorphosis into its ultimate "Super Beast" form; forcing the remaining Zone command to protect it until its transformation is complete. During this showdown, Fiveman destroy Gingaman and use Super Five Robo to stop the Black Gorlin. Gaku likewise wins his final showdown with Chevalier, but his death at the end of the two hours gives Vulgyre the final energy it needs to complete its transformation. (Ep. 47)
- Fiveman attempt to use all their power to fight Super Beast Vulgyre, but its power is overwhelming to the point that even Max Magma can do nothing against the creature, destroying Fiveman's base. Receiving a weak transmission from their parents, Fiveman follow their instruction of taking the Sidon Flower inside Vulgyre itself, where they use it to finally calm the soul of the dead girl the creature had used as its voice as "Galactic Empress Meadow". With the girl finally resting in peace, Fiveman use Super FiveRobo to destroy Vulgyre, taking out Garoa and Dongoros in the process and bringing an end to Zone. With Earth at peace and their parents finally found, the Hoshikawa siblings depart Earth once again for Planet P16 for a long-awaited family reunion. (Ep. 48)
Post-series
- 1992: A commemorative red jacket manufactured in anticipation of the Barcelona Olympics was owned by Gaku Hoshikawa as early as two years prior.
- 1994: The 5 Super Sentainote defeat an invasion of Earth by the Emperor Daidas and his forces. (Super Sentai World)
- 2001: As one of the first 24 Super Sentai, the Fivemen provide their support in the Gaorangers fight against Lost Highness Duke Rakushaasa. (Gaoranger vs. Super Sentai)
- 2006: As one of the first 30 Super Sentai, Five Red's Red Warrior spirit is inherited by AkaRed. (Boukenger vs. Super Sentai)
- 2011: The Fivemen, among the first 34 Super Sentai, oppose an invasion of Earth by the Space Empire Zangyack in what becomes known the Legend War, ending with all Super Sentai sacrificing their power to destroy the invasion fleet. Dispersed throughout the universe, the powers ultimately resurface as Ranger Keys whilst the former Super Sentai disband. (Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger ep. 1, 199 Hero Great Battle)
- 2012: A month following the defeat of the second Zangyack invasion, the powers of the 34 Super Sentai are returned to them by the Gokaigers. (Gokaiger ep. 51)
- 2012: The Fivemen, among the first 34 Super Sentai, are apparently defeated by Tsukasa Kadoya (Kamen Rider Decade), Great Leader of Dai-Shocker which seeks to wipe out the Super Sentai, opposing Dai-Zangyack led by Emperor (formerly Captain) Marvelous (Gokai Red) who are hunting the Kamen Riders. Infact, all the presumed deceased Sentai and Riders had been transported to the dimensional rift, from which they emerge to defeat the new Shocker-Zangyack Alliance. (Super Hero Taisen)
- 2017: The Fivemen, among the first 38 Super Sentai, provide their power for the Ninningers and Zyuohgers to defeat Gillmarda. (Zyuohger vs. Ninninger)
