Jane Eyre: The Musical is a musical adaptation of Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë, with music and lyrics by Paul Gordon and the book by John Caird. It began workshop in 1995 before premiering on Broadway in 2000.The Broadway cast featured Marla Schaffel as the titular character, James Barbour as Edward Rochester, Stephen R. Buntrock as St. John Rivers, Lisa Musser as Young Jane Eyre, and Jayne Paterson as Helen Burns.
