Spoilers Off for Moments Pages.

  • The tragic death of the gang's beloved son, Ivan Ooze, in their SoulSilver Nuzlocke is a particularly shocking reminder that absolutely Anyone Can Die, and leaves Lani, Kirran and Grant shellshocked.
  • The other favored Pokémon, Slowmara also dies sometime later and the boys are just as heartbroken—until they try to release her and realize that THEY CAN'T...
  • At one point during the Nuzlocke, the guys talk to their walking Pokemon after one of their party members died. Said walking Pokemon is described as "restlessly looking around for something", which the gang immediately interprets as the Pokemon frantically searching for the teammate it lost.
  • The first casualty of the Moon Nuzlocke, Tinkerbill. It didn't help that he was so ridiculously adorable.
    • The official lore behind it makes it even more heartbreaking—Tinkerbill was Larenti's first experience with mortality. As such, seeing one of his Pokemon fall initially fails to register for him and he simply thinks said Pokemon will just wake up. And then he's sent into a Heroic BSoD when it doesn't. What's more, Tantor was watching the whole time and desperately wanted to console his son, but held himself back because he knew Larenti had to learn how to deal with it on his own.
    • On that note Pojo's death and Sgt. Pepper's death following that. Poor Veler's all alone now.
  • Mimikyun's death, especially since the guys immediately realize that it could have been easily avoided.
  • The ending to the Emerald Nuzlocke's Gaiden. Maqubi's story ends with her entire team dying and her being driven to despair and substance abuse in the years that follow. Not to mention that beforehand she discovered that Scott was a con artist, killing her attraction to him.
  • In episode 21 of the Platinum Nuzlocke has the guys' shell-shocked reaction to Galactic Admin Jupiter massacring their team until only Raisin, Ping and Jordan are left. It's so bad that instead of the usual "shall not be missed", Lani demands that everyone salute the fallen with respect as they're released.
    • Poor Cleo's death is the worst of the bunch, as it's framed as a Heroic Sacrifice to save her beloved Prince Raisin. It's lampshaded as it's mentioned that she would've wanted to go out that way.
    • Made worse by the fact they find out they could have avoided Cleo and Gacks deaths when, after sacrificing them to heal up Prince Raisin to a level he could survive an attack from Jupiter's Skuntank in case it was faster, they bring out Raisin and he goes first.
  • The final video of DBCember 2017 where they discuss DBZ Budokai 3, and the unfortunate case of Kenji Yamamoto. Noting that what he did was wrong, it's still upsetting that all the other great music he made had to be removed in all re-releases of games he scored and DBZ Kai.
  • During the finale of Spider-Man (PS4), they get to Aunt May's death. Lani admits even though he played it before, he still teared up and despite making numerous jokes throughout even in tragic scenes, they don't through this one and remain completely silent through the entire thing because they genuinely find it that sad.
  • DBZA is Over, Here's Why. Fans knew that on early February, Team Four Star had officially ended Dragonball Z Abridged, but the video is still hard to get through. Not helping is that Kaiserneko's voice sounds like it's close to breaking, and he's going to cry on camera.
  • On a related note, Team Four Star getting their one canonical contribution to the dub removed, and then being "greylisted" from ever working with Funimation, simply because Toei is petty and greedy, is a bitter pill to swallow, knowing that not only will they never again be able to officially contribute to a series they love, but that the original executives have declared them Personae Non Gratae for not just the Dragon Ball franchise, but several other properties by extension.
  • During the group's review of Dragon Ball Super: Broly, Scott notices right away that Broly is the victim of circumstance instead of a Dumb Muscle Generic Doomsday Villain he was originally conceived as, and even mentions the brutal beatdown by Gogeta isn't even a Catharsis Factor either.
Scott: And I like to point out: So during that scene, it was hard for me to feel like "Oh yeah, this is the big triumphant where they win", because again, this is Broly's fight it's all about, and that's why... You don't want Broly to die.
  • Throughout 2021's DBCember, Kaiser seems to show quite a bit of sadness in relation to this being their Grand Finale for their Dragon Ball-themed holiday tradition, with a bittersweet feeling throughout the countdown at points for the series' approaching end. Though the ending of it will definitely have you crying Tears of Joy with the group expressing their thanks for the viewer, and for having the opportunity to do such a beloved tradition.
Kaiser: Yeah, but... (Laughing nervously) Ending at the Cell Saga? I mean that's... that'd be a... terrible idea...
    Mark: Is... Is Kaiser okay?
    Lani: We regret nothing, Mark.
(Kaiser wails in the background as the segment ends)
