- Delroy's situation. Captured and taken from his home by the Chef, and forced to spend years trapped in a cage too small for him. When the Mallards ask him for directions, he can barely manage to do so without bursting into tears at the memory of his home.
- When Mack erupts with anger at Dax over him disobeying his orders (and losing his primary feathers because of it), Dax is clearly hurt and even everyone else was also shocked by this harsh calling out. Mack realizes he might have gone too far and tries to comfort his son by assuring him they need time to figure things out, but Dax pushes aside his offered wing and storms off.Dax: But Dad, I was trying to help.
- Gwen absolutely breaks down after the Chef captures Mack and Pam, crying into the ground at the idea of them being cooked and fearing it would include herself and Dax next.
- Pam falls into utter despair when she and Mack are caged. She even believes that Mack was right all along, and that they should have just stayed in Moosehead pond to begin with.Mack: Pam?
Pam: (realizing) It’s hopeless, Mack…
Mack: What? No, no, no, no! It’s not hopeless, we can do this!
Pam: (regretfully) No, we’ve lost them… Mack, we’ve lost the kids, you were right! We never ever should have left the pond!
