Season 1
- Althea revealing to Nicky she was sexually assaulted by her boss.
- Althea blowing up at Dennis' parents after they say she should sign a prenup.
- As children, the window of Harmony Dumplings was broken. The Shen parents told their kids that a Pearl Dragon came to visit them but couldn't fit through the door so he had to break through the window. In the present day, the Shens reveal that the real reason the window was broken was because a racist threw a brick through it.
- Jin feels so betrayed when he learns Mei-Li hid secrets about her sister and how that might affect Nicky that he leaves the house, stays in a motel, and refuses to answer his phone.
- When Nicky asks her mother to describe her long-lost sister Mei-Xue, Mei-Li gets more and more emotional before breaking down once she's off the phone. It becomes a lot easier to understand why Mei-Li kept the secrets she did, seeing how hurt she was by Mei-Xue's absence.
- Simon Lau gets killed by Zhilin despite putting up a valiant effort. Nicky takes it particularly hard.
- After going all the way to Canada to search for her aunt Mei-Xue Nicky find that she's already dead but left behind a number of tape recordings to help whoever was searching for the weapons. The first tape details how she was forced to live in isolation to hide her knowledge of the weapons from those who would use them for evil. She then urges whoever's listening to not undergo their quest alone and to treasure their connections with the people they love.
- Althea telling Dennis about what her old boss did to her, followed by the two of them hugging.
- The attorney warning Althea what she'll experience if she reveals that her boss sexually assaulted her.
Season 2
- Mia refusing any further help from Nicky.Mia: We might be related but we are not family.
- Frank, an old friend of Jin who taught him calligraphy, comes to the restaurant to pick up an order. Then he takes out the bag he uses to carry to-go orders.
- Henry visits his father for the first time in years. The visit starts of well, but eventually they begin fighting over Henry's father abandoning them.
- After all Mia's effort to reunite with her father, he betrays her and sells her out to Russell Tan.
- Althea's Negated Moment of Awesome. She runs into her old boss Chase Matheson who gives her a fake apology and tries to gaslight her about her sexual assault. She gives him a "The Reason You Suck" Speech, refuses to accept his apology, and is about to walk out of the bar with her head held high. Then Chase goads Dennis into punching him and reveals that he is still working with Dennis' father.
- Ryan getting shot and everyone's reaction. Mia runs away and joins Zhilan. Mei-Li blames Nicky and kicks her out of the hospital. Althea throwing herself into work to distract herself. Jin almost breaking down but steeling himself.
Season 3
- Nicky breaks down in tears as Althea talks about how nobody's heard from Henry and talks about how hard it was to move on from him.
- Henry is on a ship in the Mediterranean. To get money to pay for his journey, he gambles his mother's wedding ring, which he had once planned to give to Nicky.
