She laid down, put her face on her folded paws and quietly passed away.

  • "Diana's Piano". What makes it even worse is that it's heavily implied that Diana's death has taken away Sarah's love of music. She mentions that she'd "never played better" in her performance for Diana that evening. The segment ends with the now-older Sarah asking her current cat: "Would you like me to play something for you, Patches?" When she gets no response, all she can do is sadly sigh "It's just as well..." The trauma of losing her first cat still haunts Sarah, and it's robbed her life of the piano—one of her greatest joys—as well.
Sarah: When I finished, Diana didn't want to leave the piano. Some time, during the night, Diana managed to get down on the keyboard. She laid down, put her face on her folded paws... and quietly passed away. It was Diana's testament to her love for my music.
  • "Primal Self". "Tigger" was obviously well loved by his elderly owner... and the last panel shows him probably about to maul her after having been possessed and regressed to a violent, feral state.
    • The biggest victim of this story HAS to be Garfield himself. He's just a normal cat who is minding his own business and looking at a drawing on the wall (presumably drawn by a child), when a cat-like demon comes by, much to Tigger's shock. He is at first frightened by this mysterious creature, but is then convinced by the beast to touch paws with him. This shatters his well-being, as he is shown being electrified and then displayed in a land filled with dogs attempting to attack him. The next panel shows him wide awake, now completely feral as his owner calls to him...
    • There’s also the owner’s side to consider: Just before Tigger pounces, there is a panel showing her holding what looks like a child's drawing (presumably from the same grandchild who drew the drawing on the wall that was shown earlier), and not looking at Tigger as she asks him to come play with him. And given how there is every reason to suspect Tigger killed his owner, this was how she spent her last minutes alive.
