As a Tear Jerker page, all spoilers are unmarked as per wiki policy. You Have Been Warned!
Cat Burglar is, by all means, a homage to Tex Avery and all the deaths that Rowdy can suffer are hilarious, but there are some rare moments where the humour is absent, and sadness takes hold.
This page is a WIP.
- Poor Peanut really goes through the wringer if you succeed in your playthrough. In the first good ending, he's rendered homeless, and while trying to look for food in the trash, the Museum Director passes by with a negative comment, putting Peanut in the dumps more. Rowdy does look remorseful, and seemingly has an idea to help, but he allows the limousine he's in to ram into Peanut, laughing like a hyena all the way. He gets it worse in the second good ending, the same thing happens to him, except helicopter blades bisect him and shred the upper half per Rowdy's order.
- The third and fourth good ending has Peanut decapitated by a spinning newspaper, but it could be a good blend of Black Comedy and Crosses the Line Twice for the suddenness of it.
- The sixth ending has Peanut in a very bad position. Because of the six times Rowdy got away with his crimes, Peanut has been sent to Swing Swing Prison, held on a 100,000 bone bond, and is implied that he'll be spending 100 years there due to his failures.
- The Cleocatra bad ending. It's a surprisingly bleak ending when compared to the rest.
- If you fail, Peanut will kiss Cleocatra (Rowdy in disguise), sealing his fate. Despite the hope in Peanut's eyes, Rowdy can only utter a Little "No" as you see what happens after they marry. Their marriage has devolved into a loveless one, with Peanut becoming a lazy Jerkass, Rowdy doing everything around the apartment, and their 5 children being restless. Factor in a kettle, a knocking door, the phone ringing, and Peanut asking rudely, "Are you gonna take care of that?", the cat passes the Despair Event Horizon. He opens the window and deliberately falls to his death. It's the only bad ending that is Played for Drama instead of Played for Laughs, with no comedic jokes or even a wacky death for Rowdy.
- Rowdy's Little "No" also could qualify. A very possible interpretation is that Rowdy knows that the marriage would never work, one he will never escape. This moment is practically the result of showing what would happen if flirting in a Pepé Le Pew style would result in marriage. Call it a Deconstruction resulting in a Surprisingly Realistic Outcome.
- Fridge Sadness: If Peanut's demand is any indicator, Rowdy has been handling everything for quite some time. Since Rowdy killed himself, who isn't to say that Peanut and the children will be evicted soon?

- One could feel bad for Rowdy in any of the bad endings. He loses all three of his lives, and when he sees the gates of heaven, he has high hopes he'll make it there. But then Peanut arrives through a cartoonish manner, literally clips Rowdy's wings, and sends him back to Earth with his three lives again. It certainly feels more rewarding when you succeed in a playthrough after losing.
- The Catnip Bad Ending is probably the worst of the bad endings. How? Well, instead of being brought back to Earth, Rowdy falls through the trash can and lands in hell. He and his other eight lives are played around as billiard balls as they all fall into the socket. Turning back into cat angels, the nine can only screech and howl in pain as they are robbed of their chance of ever coming back to Earth. Mixes as Nightmare Fuel as well.
