The Rose/Xiao Long/Branwen family tree as of April 12, 2023.
Due to the mass crossover nature of Super RWBY Sisters and the sheer amount of characters from different franchises that are now included in the series, some of which are made into Remnant-born natives, the family tree for Rose/Xiao Long/Branwen family has become extensive. The same goes for the family trees of other characters. Ensuring that the trope gets invoked, below are several examples.
- At the start of the series, the Rose/Xiao Long/Branwen family started out with just Ruby, Yang, Tai, Qrow, and Zwei, but would continue to get bigger as time went on:
- At the end of the second story, Ruby starts dating Pit, making Palutena Ruby's future mother-in-law and later on in the series become a third mother figure for Ruby.
- Several stories later, Yang would start to date Claude, ensuring that House Riegen becomes connected to the family.
- Summer would later return to the family as a ghost to help guide Ruby and the rest of the family.
- She later makes sure that Raven comes back to the family. This later results in is Vernal dying to Maleficent, becoming a Heartless and her Nobody becoming a character known as Maia, who gets adopted by Raven and joins the family.
- Because Summer asks Rosalina to take care of the family should she return to the afterlife, Rosalina and Tai start to grow close, eventually start dating, and then get married.
- During one of the later adventures, Summer immediately takes a liking to Oran Moss, and at the end of the adventure, he and his Zarude caretaker Kala are later adopted into the family.
- Later on, Byleth, who had already been close to Ruby for some time, and her twin brother Bereto ended up getting adopted into the family.
- Dorothea later ends up marrying Byleth and becomes family as well.
- Even further, it turns out later on that Loid Forger is a long-lost cousin of Tai, through his long-deceased mother being Zhang's sister, with him already having adopted Anya by the time he shows up.
- A third version of Baymax was created by Hiro Hamada and gifted by Sora to the family as a healthcare companion.
- Due to characters from Akame Ga Kill!, SPY×FAMILY, Fairy Tail, and Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony all being Remnant-born natives in this universe, most of them are family of the RWBY characters or of each other.
- Yor Briar (Neves in this universe) is the aunt of Akame and Kurome, as well as the adoptive mother of Chelsea, while also adopting Kokoro Kinokoshi later on.
- Her brother Yuri is the father of Shuichi Saihara and Kokichi Ouma.
- Because Yor is dating Loid, there are hints that the two might marry in the future, thus making them potentially connected to the Rose/Xiao Long/Branwen family.
- General Ironwood is the biological father of Mercury Black and the adoptive father of Esdeath.
- He is also the cousin of Nesta Winchester, who is the mother of Cardin Winchester and Laura Winchester, and the foster mother of Masaru Daimon.
- Because Cardin is dating Chelsea and Masaru is dating Kokoro, it potentially connects that family to the Rose/Xiao Long/Branwen family as well.
- The Fairy Tail characters, save for Mavis, are ancestors of present-day Remnant natives, examples include:
- Bisca, Alzack, and Asuka Connel are the ancestors of Ruby and Summer
- Gray Fullbuster and Juvia Lockser are the ancestors of Esdeath.
- Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfilia are the ancestors of Tatsumi.
- Mirajane, Lissana, and Elfman Strauss are the ancestors of Mine and her family, including Hazel later on after finding out that Elfman is his ancestor.
- Happy is the ancestor of Oran.
- Kagura Mikazuchi is the ancestor of Akame and Kurome.
- Gajeel Redfox and Levy McGarden were married, but due to a split bloodline, Gajeel is the ancestor of Ironwood and Mercury, while Levy is Nesta, Cardin, and Laura's ancestor.
- Laxus Dreyar is Nora's ancestor.
- Due to how Ozpin reincarnates and one of his previous incarnations being Master Makarov, he is still Laxus' grandfather.
- Erza Scarlet is Pyrrha's ancestor.
- Wendy Marvell is Sheele's ancestor.
- Sting Eucliffe is the ancestor of Sun and Leone.
- Pantherlily is the ancestor of Blake.
- Cana Alberona is the ancestor of Yang, Qrow, and Raven.
- Through a technicality with the Maiden powers, Mavis Vermillion being the previous Spring Maiden leads to her being connected to Raven but not related.
- Lyon Vastia (Schnee in this universe) is the ancestor of Weiss and the Schnee family, barring Jacques.
- Erik/Cobra and Kinana are Chelsea's ancestors.
- Due to the Dangaronpa V3 being Remnant-born natives, some of them are related to other characters, examples include:
- Kaito Momota is the older brother of Becky Blackbell.
- Kirumi Tojo is Klein's niece.
- A slightly less direct example. But here, Miu Iruma is the creator of K1-B0 and also his mother by default.
- Gonta Gokuhara is the older brother of Oran Moss.
- Due to the Warriors of Hope being given a second chance to atone for their sins, they get put into rehabilitation by being assigned under foster care by different families across Remnant:
- As mentioned above, Masaru Daimon was taken in by Nesta Winchester.
- Jataro Kemuri was taken in by Sojiro Sakura and became the foster brother of Futuba.
- Kotoko Utsugi was taken in by the Strauss family, becoming Mine's foster younger sister.
- Nagisa Shingetsu was taken in by Pietro, becoming Penny and SAPR's foster younger brother.
- Yor Briar (Neves in this universe) is the aunt of Akame and Kurome, as well as the adoptive mother of Chelsea, while also adopting Kokoro Kinokoshi later on.
