- "My wife was having an affair at a company trip. On the last day, I confronted her...": Hiroshi's elementary-aged daughter Miya quotes Detective Conan while confronting Ririka on her affair with a guy.
- "I hid under the bed to see whether my wife was cheating and...": Hiroshi dresses up as Detective Conan right at the beginning and when catching his cheating wife Mika with her lover.
- In this story, Hiroshi mocks his ex-girlfriend Akane after her plastic surgery by saying she looks like "Bread Superman". She even has Anpanman's face superimposed over her own.
- When Ukai calls over his wife Big Mami to kick Hiroshi and his wife Unika out of his restaurant, her introductory shot is accompanied by a Vyond-styled miniature of Big Mom scaring Luffy while Hiroshi calls her a "chunky monkey".

- When Hiroshi interrogates Rio and her lover, George, only to get silence from them, Hiroshi asks if time froze as he cosplays Dio Brando, complete with blond hair and a golden suit of armor as a stand-in for The World. For the rest of the confrontation, he wears a peaked cap as a stand-in for Jotaro's hat.
- Rio attempts to sic George on Hiroshi as if he was her Stand after he threatens divorce, but he instead begs Hiroshi for mercy, prompting him to comment how George can't even beat the weakest anime characters, referencing Nobita from Doraemon.

- "A Sudden Pregnancy Report when I’m Actually… Infertile":
- Hiroshi makes Pokémon references when dealing with the men who were wanted to "catch" Mitsuko, telling them they're as desperate as catching a legendary Pokémon, showing the men running after an image of Mewtwo.
- When Mitsuko tells Hiroshi that she wanted him to like her, Hiroshi tells her about his distrust of women making him unable to open up, declaring himself "fully shielded like the Pokémon [Cocoon]" while showing an image of Kakuna.
- At the next meeting where Hiroshi talks with Mitsuko and her alleged father, he compares them to Magikarp and Gyarados because they don't look similar while picking out the duo's lies.
- When Mitsuko is revealed to have lied to the five men from earlier on about being pregnant with twins before meeting Hiroshi, she tries to deny it by saying that "it just happened [she] got pregnant with everyone," but Hiroshi has none of it and compares her to Big Mom showing a Vyond-styled rendition of the character threatening a ship.
- "My wife dumped me, and 3 months later she wants to get back together...": When Hiroshi notes that his wife Riko was super-selfish, he remarks that "even Dokin-chan from Anpanman would be surprised".
- "After I came home from work, I found that our place had been ransacked…": When Hiroshi got ahold of CCTV footage that showed Runo's lover running out the window out of fear of being caught, he demands Officer Shinagawa to arrest the man and remarks that "even Lupin the Third would be amazed at what he's done".
- "My idiot wife was cheating on me at home, so I installed multiple security cameras around the house": When Momoka destroyed all the mini-cameras Hiroshi bought from Mr. Hachimaki's store to catch her cheating, Hiroshi compares her psychic abilities to "that super-popular spy manga" while showing silhouettes of Loid, Anya, and Yor.
- "My girlfriend was cheating on my so I cursed her":
- When Aika constantly calls his name, he responds with, "Yes, this is Hiroshi," in one instance.
- In the Japanese version, after Aika reveals her affair to Hiroshi at the very day he's going to propose to her, she calls for Hiroshi after her PC broke down, to which Hiroshi responds, "What, it can't be Doraemon" while he's depicted dressed in a way reminiscent of said character and flying into a door.
- "Wife cheats but shows no remorse so I sent her to hell"
- Six months after sending a PI to investigate Rio's infidelity, Hiroshi presents her with the evidence photos in the style of a Yu-Gi-Oh! game.
- Later on when Rio tries to justify herself by saying it just happened to look like an affair, Hiroshi tells her, "This isn't Evangelion Unit 01, it doesn't just happen to be like anything."
- After Hiroshi sued both Rio and all of her lovers from the gym causing them all to become pariahs, he remarks that they couldn't work at another gym because their notoriety was worse than Huan Yi from Kingdom.

- When Hiroshi attempted to search Natsumi's phone under the pretense of cleaning it for her, she fought it off, making Hiroshi compare her defensive instinct to a wild Kangaskhan.
- After Hiroshi dons a ghost costume to catch his cheating wife Natsumi and her lover Ma-kun at the amusement park, he states his intention to divorce her. When she asks him for proof of her affair, Hiroshi shows her the incriminating photos, especially the rollercoaster one, commenting "[his] heart dropped with the Splash Mountain."

- When Nana chewed him out for leaving their window open despite living on the 11th floor, Hiroshi jokingly asks her if she's worried about Spider-Man. Later on, when her lover Ryu hid by hanging out the window and cried for help, Hiroshi jokingly proclaimed it was Spider-Man before asking Nana about him.
- Earlier on, he accused Nana's boyfriend of "trying to pull a Carlos Ghosn," referring to the former automotive industry CEO fleeing to Lebanon following his arrest in Tokyo.
- "My wife was cheating on me so she got bad karma": The Japanese version has references that have been cut in the English dub:
- Madoka tells Hiroshi, "Dedicate your heart to me!" a line that Hiroshi recalls is from Attack on Titan.
- After Madoka kept dissing him for being poor and ugly, he remarks that he's not as strong as Kakashi and "he'll soon fall into darkness".

- When Hiroshi explains he planned everything to the last detail after winning the lottery, a poorly-drawn Ryuk appears next to him. The same drawing appears behind him as he kneels in defeat after hanging up with Kana.
- When Hiroshi tried every sort of excuse to hang up on his gold-digging, cheating ex-girlfriend Kana, he even mentioned having to take care of his Pokémon.
- "My wife was sleeping with my student so I arranged a family party while she was at it!": When his cheating wife Yui tries to argue that "she was pulled by strings like a puppet" into cheating on him with his student Saburo Suzuki, Hiroshi asks, "What are you, Doflamingo?" before Yui briefly turns into the character.
- My brother-in-law was stealing from me so I set up a trap for him: When Hiroshi's in-laws agree to help him teach the titular brother-in-law a lesson, they're seen dressed up and posing like they were Trouble Busters.
