The fanfic is filled with references, with each chapter containing at least one.
- A number of references to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure:
- Kazuhiko mentions JoJo in chapter 11.
- The crows mentioned the rather infamous 'Is that an X reference?" meme at one point. They even try to do something related to Star Platinum, presumably the Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs.
- The omake of chapter 46 is an outright nod to the manga. From the ever-famous poses, the inevitable comparison to Persona and Nanako doing the “Kono Dio da!” Meme.
- Daichi says, "It's a trap" in chapter 15. Loki later says it in chapter 38’s omake.
- There is an Ace Attorney-esque ‘courtroom’ segment in chapter 27, complete with an OBJECTION!, courtesy of Skadi and Hildr. Dangsta even mentions it in the author’s note.
- When Johei tells Loki about Yoshimitsu in chapter 28, he says “Last time on the Shiroka Files”.
- Johei also mentions John Lennon in chapter 33, as a nod to his death.
- Johei once again makes one in chapter 34, calling Iselin Lava Girl.
- The omake for chapter 34 is based on a trailer for Avengers: Infinity War.
- According to Skadi in chapter 38, apparently Trauma Center is a television series in this universe.
- In chapter 39, Iselin shouts “Shoryuken, bitch!” when she punches Sho in the balls. May also double as a Red vs. Blue reference, where Tucker said something similar before he destroyed a cyclops’ single testicle.
- In chapter 40, their reaction to Daichi replacing his cast with an arm brace is to say “Praise be to the Sun”. But instead of Dark Souls, Johei said it’s because he lends Daichi his copy of Rising Sun Ninja.
- In Yuriko’s interview, she’s given a a chrome-pink Benefactor Panto with sticker bombs.
- In chapter 41, the crows say a bunch of these, such as “My mom kicked me out of the house and I’m forced to enslave animals to fight each other!”.
- When Yuriko reveals her weapon, Johei outright calls her Ruby. It helps that the show has a bit of a following in Japan, and even has an official Japanese dub.
- In chapter 43, Hugin and Munin repeatedly referencing Goldilocks in response to Nanako’s ‘borrowing’ the SPT’s supplies.
- When Nanako drags Iselin and Daichi in chapter 44, the crows act out the famous Metal Gear Solid game over screen
- The omake of chapter 50 has Nanako recite Mushu's rant about dishonor, and then makes an announcement of a Loveline Costume DLC coming to Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encorenote , complete with Reincarnation playing in the background.
- In chapter 51, Iselin calls Mimir Talking Heads.
