• Joy may call an Overkill Weapon "[her] very own BFG" upon picking one up.
• Joy also may call nickname various special units after superheroes and villains, namely calling Zapper Electro, the Shield Captain America, and the Sniper Deadshot.
• One of Shade's voicelines in Under The Surphaze references Dogs Playing Poker:

  "I've never been very interested in art...but if you see one of those paintings with the dogs playing poker...grab it for me, will ya?"

• Hoxton may quip "Sniper, no sniping!" after killing a Sniper.
• Masking up for the first time unlocks the achievement "No One Cared Who I Was..."
• Three members of the Gold & Sharke bank's senior staff are named Erik Yaeger, Liam Ackerman and Reese Brown, in reference to Eren Yeager, Levi Ackerman and Reiner Braun from Attack on Titan.
• The mask "The OG" is based off the hockey mask used by Neil McCauley in the film Heat.
• "The Goalie", meanwhile, is based off Waingro's hockey mask from the same film. The mask's description throws in a reference to Friday the 13th as well:
  "Oddly enough, when you slip this on, you don't feel the need to get on the ice. You either think about making substantial bank withdrawals, or you get the urge to go on nightly summer strolls by a lake where the water is crystal clear."
• The J&M Castigo 44's description opens by asking "Do you feel lucky, punk?"
• A pizza box can be found on the roof of the house in Cook Off, as a nod to the "roof pizza" scene from the Breaking Bad episode "Caballo Sin Nombre".
• Two of Cook Off's challenges reference the series more directly: "I Am the One Who Knocks" (earned by cooking all 19 bags without a single bad batch) references Walter's memetic quote from "Cornered", whilst "Full Measure" (earned by cooking 7 pure batches on Overkill) references Mike's "no more half measures" speech from "Half Measures". Both are references to similarly-named achievements in PAYDAY 2, as well.
• On Cook Off, Shade may quip "it's like Night of the Living Cops out here" after an assault wave finishes.
