There are a few nods to many world mythologies as well as pop culture.

  • For the "Viewers" there's many Shoutouts:
    • The person known as the "Prisoner of the Golden Headband" is the Monkey King Sun Wu Kong.
    • The "Queen of Darkest Spring" and "Father of the Rich Night" are Persephone and Hades.
    • The "God Who Likes to Change Genders" is Loki.
    • "Thursday's Thunder" Thor .
    • The "One Eyed Sage" Odin.
    • Eden as a whole has a slew of shoutouts to various figures in Christian Mythology:
    • In the same manner, the Demon Kings are this to the Ars Goetia and the Lesser Key of Solomon as a whole:
      • "Devil of Lust and Wrath" is Asmodeus.
      • "Ruler of East Hell" is Agares.
    • The original "Master of Steel" is the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz.
  • When seeing Yoo Sangah wrapping up their enemies in a web of her golden wire, Dokja likens her to Spiderman.
  • The Cinema Master's first area with the prehistoric dinosaurs near a lab seems to be a reference to Jurassic Park. At the end of the "film" Dojka and the others even take a helicopter off the island and once they leave the "film". The movie poster outside confirms it.
  • When exploring the underworld, the robot Hades is forcing the inhabitants to build is noted to look similar to a gundam.
  • During the miniature scenario, Dojka allows one of the enemies who's wearing a scanner over his eyes to read Dojka's profile and skills. The scanner explodes as it's overloaded with information, and it's immediately noted that this was a scene right out of a manga.
  • The siege of the Vironical castle plays out similarly to the beginning of Attack on Titan.
  • In the webtoon as Han Sooyung and Kim Dokja discuss his prophecy that he'll be killed by "the person he loves most", an image of Director Han appears. He's sitting in a similar pose to Doctor Hiriluk with his famous last speech, "When does a man truly die? When he is forgotten". All of this is apparently quoted by Han Sooyung.
