Ship Tease / The Saga of Avatar Korra

Go To

Due to this being a story set in the Avatar universe that features loads and loads of characters, there is bound to be loads of ship tease.

Beware of unmarked spoilers.

Due to Korra and Asami being confirmed to be bisexual in this story similar to canon, this makes special moments they share between male and female characters possible Ship Tease moments.

Connection

  • Korra believing it was their destiny to meet again along with the fact Asami seemed intrigued by what Korra said rather than taken aback.
Korra: Before, where I used to live, I. No. When I was a kid, there was this time- (sighs) Asami; I don't think today is the first time we've met. And... I think it was our destiny to meet like this.
  • After revealing herself to be Asami's savior when she was a child, Asami hugs Korra and even holds Korra's hand along with intertwining their fingers.
    • Korra feels nervous at first at how to return the embrace.
    • When Asami lets go of Korra's hand, Korra feels disappointed for a moment before Asami wraps her hands around her arm.

  • Despite the fact, Korra is the Avatar and suppose to be the most powerful being, Asami gives Korra a Declaration of Protection along with giving her a You Are Better Than You Think You Are speech.
Korra: They took me from my family. They were training me to kill people. And I thought they... I... love..." (Asami trying to calm her down) "No. I thought I loved them all. I thought they loved me. All these years... I kept thinking about looking for you. I couldn't ever forget one little thing you told me back then. You... you made me not afraid of the world. They made it sound so horrible. I always liked yours better; and you were right..." (Korra shifting her head on Asami's shoulder, her arms finally unfolding and circling Asami's waist) "I always worried about you waiting in the snow for me and me never arriving and I wanted to say sorry for that. Again. And... and... Now you know who I really am." (Korra crying) "I... I don't want to think what I would be like if I hadn't met you."
Asami: "You would always be the person you really are. And even if it was different, you would still be the same wonderful, caring, beautiful woman you are now" (Asami stroking Korra's hair) "They could never change that about you. And no matter what I would still meet you. Somehow."
Korra: "Thank you." (Korra nuzzling her head against Asami's shoulder) "You're pretty amazing yourself."
Asami: "And don't worry. They won't take you ever again. I will not let them, I promise."
