Emo and Anna
While having a fight-all-the-time dynamic, Emo and Anna do get some teasing around the series, to the point where it becomes far from subtle.
- In “We Tried Dating Our Rivals!”, Anna films her stream with Emo, and she seemed way too excited about it. When she realized that Emo was feeling down because of how great her concert last episode was, she decided to give her a taste of her “celebrity training” to cheer her up and get her as hyped up to defeat her as ever. This is the first thing that gives away that Anna doesn’t hate Emo as much as she shows to be.
- In “I Tried Getting 100 Points!” Emo is amazed by Anna’s stubbornness and says it’s emoi (or emolicious in the Crunchyroll subs). Mirai and Rinka tease her by reminding her that she just complimented Anna.
- In the season 1 finale, “I Tried a Sparkling Farewell!”, as Anna was in her farewell party, Emo took this as a chance to play with her hair. Nervous, Anna told her to stop by calling her by her name, which ended up in both of them blushing. Both of her other band members then tease her by saying that they’re heading for Europe, where it’s still April Fools, and that when they were saying that they won’t miss each other they were joking.
- Season 2's “A Shocking Surprise! Meltic StAr are Back?” is one big Emo X Anna ship tease EPISODE.
- In this episode, rumors start spreading around saying that Meltic StAr is returning to Kirajuku, and everyone seemed to be excited about it. At class, Emo keeps on saying that she doesn't miss Anna and doesn't want to see her again, but then she smiles after thinking about her, which definitely say otherwise.
- After seeing how passionate Emo looks when talking about Anna, Maria comes to the conclusion that she loves her (and I mean the daisuki kind of love), making Emo instantly run back as she’s blushing, while trying to hide the facts by saying that she hates her.
- There's a scene where Emo is in bed, excitedly looking at Anna's priticket while smiling, and when she finds out about the meeting on the Akagi stadium, she got so excited that...
- ...she bought a bouquet and some sweets for her to congratulate her return, and when she found out the rumors were just a prank by the Oshama Tricks, instead of getting mad like she usually would, she just went full Heroic BSoD. Then came the reveal: Meltic StAr really DID come back! After their concert, Emo immediately tackled Anna, crying tears of joy as she was affirming that she really is her and not just a virtual clone, and once she stopped crushing her she started HUGGING her.
Emo: Are you real? You're not a virtual Anna, right?- After that, she embarrassingly gives her the bouquet, and once receiving it, Anna starts becoming her usual self, and so begins their usual arguing once again...
- "Anna and Emo! Reconciliation Survival!" also has it's moments:
- The episode starts when Eri splits a cruiser in half causing both Emo and Anna to get lost on a deserted island (actually just the other side of the island they were going to) so she can get them to reconcile after what happened last episode. When Emo decides to explore the island, Anna follows her. After being questioned about it, she was going to say that she is worried about her, but then stopped herself in embarrassment.
- After they make a fire, and an arguement over getting the Jewel Coord, Anna listens to a song she composed. The following day, Emo started humming it as the melody was stuck in her head. Anna says it was composed as a duet song. At first she denied it, but when Emo asked, she said that she wanted to sing it with her.
- When they get surrounded by sharks is when they fully admit that they want to sing together.
- Then there's their duet song: "Victory! Twintails", which is PriChan's first duet song consisting of two idols from different groups, and by just going by the lyrics it can be pretty much described as "Emo x Anna: The Song".
- In "Finally Open! The Jewel Collection!", after Anna's song, Emo goes on stage and says it wasn't bad, which led to them both holding hands. Once they realized it, they became all red and started arguing.
- In "Resonate! It's the Melody Princess Cup!", Emo talks with Anna about her sudden change of behavior towards the Kiratts. After Anna makes her response and ending by saying that friendship can shine in rivalry, she gets relieved, as she thought she hated her. Anna says that she wouldn't, before getting nervious, suddenly turning into argue mode and saying she does.
- In the same episode, after Meltic Star wins the Melody Fantasy Princess Cup, Emo compliments their concert, saying it was better than any she's ever seen. This makes Anna go fully red.
- In "Happy Birthday! Emo's Friendship Present!", after Emo shows Mirai her birthday cake, Anna comments on how bringing her cake despite everyone else collaboratedly baking one is cheating. Alice then says that she is sure that Emo will bake another cake for her birthday, making Anna blush from the thought.
- In "High Expectations! Who Is the Princess?", the Miracle Kiratts are told that the new princesses of the Moonlight Magic area are a duo. Emo starts thinking it's the duo of her and Anna, which the latter refuses as they're both already part of different teams. Despite this, Emo seems to be very in approval of them being princesses together.
- Finally, in "Let's Try Kiratto Pri☆Chan!", the Miracle Kiratts teleport to Meltic Star's high school during their PriChan lesson to tell them about Prism Stone's renovation event. As both Emo and Anna argue as usual, the other students squee over how much they love eachother. After the Kiratts leave to tell W Daia, Anna starts feeling sad over always fighting with Emo.Anna: Why do we always end up like this?
Mirai and Sara
- In "Our First Attempt At Kiratto Pri☆Chan!", after Anna eats the chocolate Mirai wanted her to autograph, Sara apologizes on her behalf, and promises to pay her back for the chocolate. Mirai starts seeing sparkles on her, and starts blushing.
- "We Tried Dating Our Rivals!" has plenty of scenes of these two:
- After the Kiratts are told to split with the Meltic Stars, Sara kneels down and offers to be Mirai's escort. Nervious, Mirai accepts.
- There's a scene where they sit on a bench, Sara talks about how Anna has gotten perkier ever since the Kiratts started their PriChan, and that both Meltics may have become fans of theirs. Mirai says that hearing Sara say that feels like a dream, and Sara affirms her that it is no dream by holding her hand as the stream's screen shows stars forming the shape of a heart surrounding the two.
◊ - Later on, Mirai declares that she'll try to get better on PriChan, and following that, Sara decides to Wall-pin her as she encourages her to reach their level of popularity (with the green sparkles to enhance the tease). Cut to Rinka looking completely red after seeing that whole scene.
Mirai and Nijinosaki
- "Kiranichiwa! The Day Daia Met Daia!" has a scene where as Nijinosaki was joining the crowd looking at the Miracle Kiratts, she instantly blushed at the sight of Mirai.
Maria and Suzu
As if calling their team "Ring Marry" wasn't enough, this show really loves giving moments to these two.
- In "Heart-throbbing! Exciting! The Jewel Auditions Are Starting!", this is Maria's description of Suzu:Maria: Suzu has adorable black hair that looks like a sleeping black cat! Her eyes are round like a full moon! Her voice is sweet like the song of a mermaid! She is adorable from head to toe!
- In "Maria-chan Has Arrived! Cuteness Improvement Committee!", once Maria sees that Suzu is also in the same school as her, she sees it as a "super ultra adorable discovery". She then goes outside the building to greet her and give her a sticker, but Suzu dodges it. Regardless, Maria finds Suzu walking away from her cute anyway.
- In "Sparkling Throbbing! This Is The Jewel Coord!", Maria tries filming a reluctant Suzu to create a stream about their cute qualities for Dear Crown, but Suzu runs away. At the end of the episode, Maria gets tired of chasing her around and faints, and Suzu, despite seeming to walk away, goes back and picks her up. Maria gets woken up by her comment of being heavy, and gives her a big hug once she finds out that she really cared enough to carry her fainted body.
- In "Maria-chan! Suzu-chan! The Duo's First Program!", Suzu is forced by Naru to join Maria's next stream. She chooses that the theme for the stream is dancing and gives Maria extremely hard training in hopes that she'd give up, but she doesn't, because she wants to stream with her really badly. She even practiced the dance in the rain as she was waiting for her to arrive in time for their stream! After Maria made her concert, they exchanged followtickets and proposed to make a band together sometime.
- Then the most ship-teasy part of the episode appears: At the end of the episode, Maria greets Suzu at school by giving her a sticker on her cheek, making her blush in embarrasment. Later on, Maria insists Suzu in calling her by her first name and not her last, which causes her head to turn completely red as she runs away.
- In "Maria and Suzu! They've Finally Formed a Group!?", Suzu still hesitates in making a group with Maria, which leaves the latter upset. During a talk with Nijinosaki, Maria says that Suzu is a lovely girl and that she'd love to hug her forever.
- In "Goodbye, Suzu and Maria's Farewells with a Smile!" Suzu receives a call from a US celebrity who invites her to take part in her own dancing show in New York, after hearing the news, Maria decides to pretend to have found a new group partner (who is actually Emo in a rabbit costume) so Suzu wouldn't feel conflicted to wether to follow her dreams or not. Suzu admits she had no bad memories of their collaboration, and Maria responds by saying that their adorable moments will remain in her heart.
- Later, Sara finds a message by Maria on the rabbit café's notebook, saying she wants to hop like rabbits with Suzu on the moon that is jewel idolhood, and Naru mentions to Maria that Suzu's been asking for regular singing lessons, and that she was really looking forward to singing with her.
- Suzu, on the last minute, rejects her contract with Dan so she could sing with Maria, who comes instantly to pick her up. She says that, even though she lied to make Suzu happy, she can't lie to herself, and that singing with her would make her the happiest. And with that, their first concert begins, and they become jewel idols together like they wanted.
- And to top it all off, Naru decides their team name: "Ring Marry". Even their manager supports this couple.
- Their first duo yattemita consists of them holding hands while skating down a ramp.
- At the beginning of "The Last Daia Festival! The Cool Showdown!", Maria notices Suzu is spacing out because of something, as she tries to call her to no avail. She finally gets her to come to her senses when she blows her ear, causing her to react in shock. After Suzu talks about how she wants to compete with Sara to see who's the coolest, Maria pokes her left cheek, causing her to react the same way as before.
- In "Still Going On! The Jewel Collection!", after Suzu does her concert, Maria goes on stage and says that her concert has breathen new cute life onto her, and Suzu responds by saying that she'll keep on enliving it everyday alongside her, and then they hold hands.
- Season 3 episode "A Happy Lovely Wedding!", where do I even begin...
- At the beginning of the episode, Maria and Suzu announce that they got back to Kirajuku to host a wedding. At first, the Kiratts thought they were the ones getting married until they clarified that it was Suzu's brother, Yusuke.
- During the Bouquet Toss, Suzu catches the bouquet while riding a swing with Maria.
- Then there's the concert for their new song: "Word・Bouquet". Just look at it.
