Miss S (旗袍美探, Qí Páo Měi Tàn, meaning roughly "Beautiful Detective in a Qipao") is a 2020 Chinese series starring Ma Yi Li and Vengo Gao. It's a remake of the Australian series Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries.
Set in the Shanghai Bund in the 1930s, the series revolves around Su Wen Li as she solves many mysteries.

- Adaptation Expansion: The one-hour episodes of the original series are made into 2-hour two parters here. However, rather than creating new plot lines, Miss S expands shorter lines and conversations. For example, in the original, Dot has a single line about never having her own room before, while Taozi and Wen Li have a longer, heartfelt conversation about Taozi growing up in poverty and the reasons she left home.
- Adaptational Sexuality: Mac is a lesbian in the original series. Ru Qing, her equivalent in this series, isn't.
- Always Murder: Unsurprisingly, considering the series it's based on, almost all of Wen Li's cases end up being murder mysteries even if they didn't start out that way.
- Gorgeous Period Dress: The series has a plethora of beautiful 1930s clothes on both men and women.
- Setting Update: The original series' 1920s Australia setting is changed to a 1930s China one. (The first episode states that they are in the 23rd year of the Chinese republic, i.e. 1935.)
