Shout-Outs in Hitman's World of Assassination Trilogy.

Hitman (2016)

    Universal
  • James Bond is referenced in several episodes.
    • The opening cutscene of 47 being tested in an interrogation room is a direct homage to a similar scene in Skyfall.
    • If 47 is dressed in the Tuxedo in "The Showstopper" and approaches guards protecting routes to restricted areas, they will make snide references to the James Bond films.
    • In "A Gilded Cage", throwing Reza Zaydan into the printing press results in bloody posters spewing out.
    • If you do the "Fade to Black" opportunity in "Club 27", when 47 plays the audio clip of Hannah Highmoore's death and waits for Jordan Cross in his room, the scene is a near perfect homage to a similar scene in Dr. No.
    • The GAMA facility in Hokkaido (an extremely upscale clinic located on a mountain top) seems to be inspired by the clinic seen in Spectre.
  • Kane & Lynch
    • One of the images on the tablets used by the bidders in the auction seen in "The Showstopper" shows a promo image of Kane & Lynch.
    • In "Freedom Fighters", two soldiers in the house are playing Kane & Lynch: Dead Man, and a poster for the game is on the wall near the TV.
    • In "Situs Inversus," one of the high scores on the Doki Doki Pow Pow! game was made by James Seth Lynch.
    • In "The Bookkeeper", the head hacker justifies his expenses to Pertti Jarnefelt by saying he needs a "killer gaming rig to play K&L."
    • "The Bad Boy" has Bartholomew Argus playing Kane & Lynch: Dog Days and praising the game's authenticity, an in-joke about the game's poor reception.

The Showstopper

  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer: If 47 is compromised while disguised as the Vampire Magician, a guard might joke about needing Buffy.
  • Zoolander:
    • IAGO's operations uses supermodels as spies and assassins.
    • Civilians might ask 47 to do the "Blue Steel" if disguised as Helmut Kruger.

Holiday Hoarders

  • Home Alone:
    • The mission's targets, Harry "Smokey" Bagnato and Marv "Slick" Gonif, are parodies of the Wet Bandits, sharing their first names. Marv also shares their habit of flooding sinks.
    • The "Bad 47" challenge requires you to hit Marv with a brick three times.

    Sapienza

World of Tomorrow

  • Breaking Bad:
    • One challenge is called "Heisenberg," where 47 must dump a body in a container of acid.
    • The clocktower building houses the office of a lawyer called Salvatore Bravuomo, which is a literal Italian translation of Saul Goodman from Better Call Saul. One poster seen at the harbor for Salvatore's services in "Landslide" is somewhat inspired by similar billboards Saul uses in the TV show to advertise his services.
  • Ether's weaponized virus is based on FOXDIE from Metal Gear Solid.
  • There are two plumber brothers that dress like the Mario Bros. The red plumber even comments about liking mushrooms and collecting coins.
  • Psycho:
    • The Carusos are based on the Bates family, albeit without the Bates' incestuous relationship.
    • A maid on the mansion's first floor says that if Caruso owned a motel, she wouldn't take a shower in it.

The Icon

  • When Dino Bosco rants, he may say that he saw better production values working under Jess Franco.

    Marrakesh

A Gilded Cage

  • Cthulhu Mythos: The electricians in the level work for A. Alhazred's Electronic Service.
  • Invader Zim: The challenge for killing Strandberg with the moose model is called "A Room with a Moose".

    Bangkok

    Colorado

Freedom Fighters

  • Batman: One of the challenge packs revolves around the Scarecrow costume. Three of the five challenges are also named after Scarecrow's linesnote  from Batman Begins.
  • House of the Dead: In combat, a guard may yell at his colleagues to "make [47] suffer like G did!"
  • The title is one to Freedom Fighters (2003), another game by IO Interactive.
  • Frozen 2016: A poster in the compound's house shows a cartoon film poster with a redhead in the middle of a windswept flower petal scene, and has a title and subtitle that reads: "Courage: Test your powers!", referencing Anna and the film's story.
  • Halloween: Ezra Berg's mask is similar to the one worn by Michael Myers.
  • The Wicker Man (1973): One of the challenges involving the scarecrow disguise is named after the film, and completing it makes anyone around 47 combust.
