"Securing Our Borders, Safeguarding Our Home."

Point of Entry (also known as 入境点 in Chinese) is a Singaporean action drama produced by MediaCorp Channel 5 in partnership with the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA)note . Airing on Thursdays at 8pm SGT, it was released from 2 December 2010 to 26 December 2013.

It centres on Team Epsilon, an elite team of ICA agents who regularly contend with illegal immigrants, overstayers and cross-jurisdiction crimes, specializing in contraband, drug-smuggling and human trafficking. All the while, a criminal conspiracy threatens to engulf the country in violent crime and the ICA in a wreath of trials and tribulations, stemming from Thailand (and later the Philippines). The new team leader, Glenn Chua, has his troubles to deal with, as does the rest of the team in their battle against organized crime and the narcotics trade.

  • DSP (Deputy Superintendent) Glenn Chua (Carl Ng, later Jack Yang), the new team leader whose icy demeanour and coldly professional nature distances him from the team, but later grows into close camaraderie with them. His feud with recurring antagonist Jackson is a major storyline.
  • ASP (Assistant Superintendent) Cheong Guan Meng (Bernard Lee), a veteran officer whose grief over Edmund's death causes him to clash bitterly with Glenn at first and becomes a close friend and acting leader whenever Glenn is out of commission.
  • ASP (Assistant Superintendent) Vivian de Cruz (Pamelyn Chee), a military sharpshooter who proves to be the most receptive and understanding of Glenn. Her burgeoning relationship with Glenn's childhood friend Jackson sparks the main conflict of the series.
  • SSGT (Staff Sergeant) Norah Rahmat, the team's Mission Control who is their third-in-command after Glenn and Cheongnote . An Old Maid, she is an irritable yet caring figure to the team.
  • SGT (Sergeant) Dynesh Krishnan, a parkour expert with a penchant for making jokes at inopportune moments. He looks to Cheong as a mentor and close friend, but his impulsive streak sometimes gets him in trouble.
  • DSP (Deputy Superintendent) Kara Yeo, a former CID officer who is the team's liaison to the regular police and Glenn's Love Interest, first appearing in Season 2. The Team Mom, she's one of the rare people who can get Glenn to open up, and vice versa.
  • SGT (Sergeant) Matthew Yong, a rookie ICA officer who joins the team in Season 2. An upper-class, suave young man who enjoys water-skiing, his Friendly Rivalry with the less charismatic, working-class Dynesh is a point of contention.

Four seasons of this show exist, amounting to 69 episodes in total:

    List of Seasons

  • Season 1: Team Epsilon commander Edmund Seng is killed in action, and Glenn Chua is brought in to replace him. His cold, anti-social demeanour initially distances him from the rest of the team, something that they will have to learn to deal with as they confront "Angel", a drug-smuggling and human trafficking syndicate based in Thailand and run by the wealthy Limthongkul family. Glenn's childhood friend Jackson Goh is discovered to be the son of Angel's boss, and he must choose between friendship and duty. The ultimate sacrifice must be made.

  • Season 2: With Jackson dead and Angel defeated, this season focuses more on crimes committed in Singapore and the team's personal issues. However, a conspiracy to destroy Team Epsilon is soon uncovered: Cheong is framed for outrage of modesty by his own informant, Dynesh is falsely accused of drug abuse and Vivian is revealed to have had a son with Jackson, a boy named Jonah. Angel's new leader Noi Limthongkul (Jackson's sister) races to seize the baby as the heir to her father's criminal empire, and Team Epsilon must pull out all the stops to prevent this from happening.

  • Season 3: Team Epsilon has been disbanded. Glenn Chua has gone on leave to take care of Jonah. Jackson is revealed to be alive under the identity of Virote Boonprasong and continues his illegal dealings in Singapore to bring Angel back to its former glory. Now based in the Philippines, Glenn's Archenemy wants his son back and will stop at nothing to do so. His new partner, Filipino drug lord Miguel Rodriguez seems to have his own plans for Singapore and their clashing ideals will prove consequential in the coming fight. Glenn and Jackson must team up to protect Jonah and end his threat forever.

  • Season 4: Glenn Chua is now on the run in Philippines for killing Jackson. CID officer and Vivian's brother Victor de Cruz has taken custody of Jonah, his nephew. Now that Angel is all but destroyed, "Multo" is all set to take its place in the criminal underworld with its dangerous new drug, Helo Yelo. Glenn will return to Singapore alive and well, but with an unexpected companion for the ride: Filipino student Analyn Ocampo. Team Epsilon must deal with this new threat, and Glenn must once again deal with divided loyalties.

  • The Infiltration: Team Epsilon's members have to go undercover quite a lot to nab the criminals they hunt. While most of these are one-episode stints, the major ones are major Plot Twists.
    • In Season 1, Glenn fakes a fall from grace and suspension from active duty with SUPT Esther to bait Jackson into offering Glenn a spot as their spy in the ICA. Subsequently, Glenn uses this opportunity
  • Kudzu Plot: Whatever Myth Arc each season is going
  • The Plan: All manner of plans go on in this series, be it the syndicate's Evil Plan, Team Epsilon's counter-plan and everybody in the middle trying to get a few licks in. Regardless of whatever Story Arc is going on, you can be assured that whenever someone's being manipulated by The Chessmaster, some another chessmaster is anticipating and using their plans to their advantage as well, and moreso those who were never involved in the prior plot to begin. These often lead into massive reveals and exposition dumps in the season finale.
    • Season 1 has Jackson plot to betray his half-brother Ricky and father Marcus to become Angel's new leader. He does the former by manipulating Noi into whistleblowing Ricky's involvement in Edmund's murder to Team Epsilon, making his case personal for them, rigging his gun to backfire on him and having his girlfriend Ee Fungnote  pin everything on him during interrogation. As for the latter, he simply places Marcus under house arrest surrounded by his men once it becomes clear Marcus no longer trust him. Simultaneously, he plots to converts his old friend Glenn into his mole in the ICA. By season's end he has seemingly succeeded, with Glenn suspended, mentally worn-down and easily susceptible to his words of sympathy. Too bad for him, Glenn had caught him out as a member of Angel from the first time they reunited in Singapore and conspired with Supt. Ong to look vulnerable so he could arrest Jackson. As a result, Jackson finds himself Out-Gambitted and with nowhere to run, and quickly shot by Vivian into the sea, seemingly dead.
    • Noi and Samak get the ball rolling in Season 2, with Samak getting Cheong's informant Cockroach and KTV hostess Sally to accuse him of molesting the latter, planting false evidence to get the old veteran disgraced and in danger of divorce. And this is only because Glenn and Kara gatecrashed his wedding. When Samak's scheme is foiled post-mortem, Noi picks up the slack to kidnap Jonah (Jackson's son with Vivian) as heir to Angel Syndicate once he comes of age. She has Vivian killed in a burning warehouse and has Team Epsilon member Ai Ling gather trivial information to stalk them, such as leaving drugs in Dynesh's car and sending Norah a bouquet of flowers with a threatening message. All this is done to distract Team Epsilon from helping Jonah before he is smuggled to Thailand, but once again Glenn gets the upper hand by tricking Noi into believing Jackson is alive and sending her thugs to a location where she can be captured with Jonah present. Noi, emotional at the prospect of seeing her brother again falls for the bait and gets arrested.
    • Season 3 becomes a battle of wits between partners-in-crime Virote (aka Jackson is disguise) and Miguel.
