Films -- Live-Action
  • Breaking Away: When Mike and his friends are hanging by the quarry, he rejoices in the fact they all got fired from their supermarket jobs. When Cyril responds Mike was the only one who was fired, and the rest of them quit, Mike responds, "Well, all for one and one for all."
  • Slumdog Millionaire: Jamal and Salim know the names of two out of the Three Musketeers, which becomes a bit of a plot point when they nearly add a third friend to their group, only for her to be betrayed by Salim when his little brother isn't looking. Why would they need to be three musketeers when they only know two?

Literature

  • As a child, Rory from Wicked Good was a huge fan of the book, which Wayne read to him.
  • In Are You Alone on Purpose? Alison finds a well-thumbed copy of The Three Musketeers in Harry's room.
  • In A Prisoner of Birth there is a group of four fans of Dumas who call themselves "The Musketeers". Then one of them is killed, leaving three musketeers.

Live-Action TV

  • Star Trek: Enterprise: Capt. Jonathan Archer has a pet beagle named Porthos who came from a litter of four puppies all named after the heroes of The Three Musketeers.
  • Stranger Things: Dustin names the Pollywog d'Artagnan after his favorite candy bar, 3 Musketeers, in an amusing move since d'Artagnan is not one of the three nor is included in the picture on the candy wrapper.
  • Ultraman X: The vehicles employed by the XIO Defense Team are named after characters from the novel. Specifically the Xio Athos (a laser-equipped patrol vehicle), Xio Porthos (patrol truck for reconnaissance purposes) and Xio Aramis (attack-based minivan with double laser cannons).

Music

  • Arch Enemy has "One for all, all for one" in the chorus of "Nemesis".

Sports

Theatre

  • Animal Crackers, at one point in its stage production, had Groucho, Zeppo, Chico and Harpo singing (or, in the last case, honking) "We're Four of the Three Musketeers" during a sequence set in 18th-century France. Their slogan was "one for all and two for five." (No trace of this remains in the movie version.)

Video Games

  • Fobia: St. Dinfna Hotel have Roberto collecting a copy of this book at one point, and it's a necessary item for him to resolve a Numerological Motif puzzle in the library.
  • First introduced in Pokémon Black and White and its sequel, the Swords of Justice are a group of quadrupedal legendary and mythical Pokémon based on the Musketeers. The group's leader Cobalion is based on Athos, the biggest member Terrakion is based on Porthos, the graceful Virizion is based on Aramis, and the youngest member Keldeo is based on d'Artagnan.
  • In the Bayonetta series, Jeanne wields four guns named Athos, Porthos, Aramis, and D'Artagnan, collectively called "All 4 One". The guns are engraved with the the phrase "Tous pour un, un pour tous", the musketeers' motto, as well as the book's original French title, Les Trois Mousquetaires. In Bayonetta 2, the guns' charms are even plush cats corresponding to the Musketeers, and the one representing Porthos is plumper than the others, alluding to the character's indulgent lifestyle.
